- With the visit of Singapore PM to Johor on 11 Jan 2024 and 65% completion of the RTS link project interest has been growing in JB apartments as an investment and we share the reasons why we opted for Twin Galaxy apartment and not the adjacent Setia Sky 88 apartment.

One very important aspect of JB property is the management and upkeep.
Lack of funds in the kitty because owners dont pay is a big issue.
Then the MC will struggle to keep the property in good order.
So make sure you investigate this before going ahead with any purchase
This property was built years ago (2015), and they have revamped the whole place October 2023... we have yet to inspect the unit, but based on photos given it looks like they have done their part and rectified some of the minor defects of the unit (mostly painting)

We are in jb atm. All went well we are engaging a contractor to renovate and should be able to post a follow up video in a couple of weeks time

Sky 88 , the "penthouse" is the peak for both fabu~ lavish retirement or LT- investment (2nd tallest sky~habitat! For me, I would rather book a plot with a NZlandic- designed villa on the coming Anyara Hills.
Twin Galaxy is a 4 stars development as compare to Sky88 which is 5 stars standard. Not apple to apple comparison.(JB best in class = Altaska Vs Sky88 or TriTower)
Yes 4 stars for own-use, but 5 stars for investment
@@JBJuggle2023 - Base on my understanding, Twin Galaxy - due to lower price entry level, more local investors and therefore more airbnb/homestay units , if u are unlucky n your next door is in airbnb/homestay business , you will see strangers walk pass your unit regulary. Just sharing insider info since i have friends in both TwinGalaxy & Sky88 for past years.

None available now as far as we know but you can contact our agent Evonne Lee Property. But right next door Setia Sky 88 has some units recently listed by other agencies.
A couple of years ago Twin Galaxy looked really run down but recently they did repaint the facade. I was interested in a studio but non was available. Later on there was a bumi release but I missed out the window and it was all booked.
Yes its amazing how run-down some buildings in JB are, a coat of paint can make all the difference, btw the New York Hotel is currently being repainted

most important for singaporean is whether can buy or not.? otherwise a waste of time. How much singaporean must pay?? above 500k or 1 million ringgit.

No chinese food stalls or restaurant around that area. OK if you can settle for malay food. Nearest good food area is Century Garden.
Cedar Point Food Centre, Chokdee Thai 24hrs and Pelangi shops are walking distance though
There are high-end chinese restaurants also, for example Dragon’s Journey just across, or the Tanba Japanese BBQ and mala hotpot and the Awagyu across the street
Which condo is the best bang for the buck for foreigners to invest? Twin galaxy?

We passed it to our agent for long term rental listing a week ago. We decided not to airbnb at this time.

Thanks for sharing! It was such a coincidence that I was in JB recently and checked out Twin Galaxy and Setia Sky 88! One DK unit at Galaxy is asking for RM 900+k, so u definitely got a superb deal.
I really like the area (had a foot massage and meal just across the road) and it is so convenient. Good stuff on the Reno and all the best!
We love the location, best massage is either right next door in the Trove Hotel (Ayu Borneo) or next to the New York Hotel (Thai something).

1M MYR limit is for all resale properties. But if buying directly from developer there are some projects which have units less that 1M MYR that is allowable for sale to foreigners.
Ours is an unsold unit of an older project for which the developer has obtained permission to sell to anyone. It is known as a "released lot". These can be sold to anyone in perpetuity.
