The EPIC and BADASS Final Battle Scene of Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) and Danny Butterman (Nick Frost) versus Frank Butterman (Jim Broadbent) and his henchmen gunfight battle into the village of sandford scene (Part Five) from the action-comedy-thriller film called "HOT FUZZ" Directed by Edgar Wright

I really like how they are symbolically and literally fighting over the village
What is also stupid is these two ruthless Killers willing to spare the life of an animal.
It also makes the (literal) Boss fight into a kaiju battle, like Godzilla vs Mothra etc.
This movie has so many amazing ideas in it but the fact that a village grocer is holding his own in a fight against a nigh-on invincible cop is fantastic. I love it.
Well he is James Bond
Well his hand is still a bit stiff
Well his hand is still a bit stiff
3:54 I'm picturing a whole bunch of flustered scenes back at Scotland Yard, where everything kept going inexplicably wrong. Because it turns out that Sergeant Angel kept it running smoothly. Evidence room a mess? "Oh Sergeant Angel usually came in early to organise it". Fax machines malfunctioning? "Sergeant Angel usually calibrated those". Patrol rosters a nest of duplicate entries? "Sergeant Angel liked to fix those". It probably got to the point where even the coffee machines didn't work. And a frustrated police commissioner bashed his mug against the nozzle, before exclaiming"...because Sergeant Angel stocked them, didn't he?".
Holy shit, it’s Womble!
This is exactly the kind scene that Edgar Wright would have written.
I feel like the badgers could help. Or... yknow... do stuff that the badgers do
Howdy womble

“PACK IT IN FRANK YA SILLY BASTARD” had me in stitches 😂😂
It's the greatest "Give up, it's over" quote by a movie cop ever!
Yeah the whole reason he did all this, was because he lost his wife.
And now he was going to take the life of his only child.
I thought the censored version was funny where SGT Angel says "Pack it in Frank! Ya silly barstool!" too.
Frank really gives Police Inspectors a good name 😂😂
Timothy Dalton is hilarious in this. He channeled his inner Bond villain for this role.
Ex-Bond leads seem to become great villains late in their career eh - first Timothy Dalton and now Pierce Brosnan...
Waiting to see what Daniel Craig can come up with when he leaves the Bond franchise in time to come...
Also Sir Malcolm from Penny Dreadful.
The man had brilliant comedic timing in this -- he must've had a lot of fun and I'll bet the cast & crew had a lot of fun working with him.
@@my_MillenniumFalcon Craig would be GREAT in a Pegg/Frost/Wright comedy flick!
Wright and Pegg literally wrote the role with him in mind. When he said "yes" they were elated.
James Bond calling a kid "ginger nut" and a "little fucker". I love it! 🤣
1:39 is unironically one of the best villian screaming the protagonists name in a final effort to finish them off screams ever. 🤣
3:18 The part with the Swan in the car and bites him cracks me up every time 😂😂😂🤣🤣
Peace was never an option
Agent Swan strikes again!
These guys NEVER miss a chance to throw in an obscure-type sight gag.
And to think they didn't want to run him over
And his arm is in a sling when he's in the police van (they can break a mans arm you know..)

I love how the entire film is just a massive amount of callbacks to earlier scenes and references. Just in this 5 minute part alone you got the swan, Skinner's gun smashing the model of his own store, Aaron A. Aaronson, Skinner slipping on a Somerfield toy truck, landing on the tower he used to kill Tim Messenger, the Point Break callback, my perfect sunday, Roy Porter still with the bear trap and the doctor can't stand properly because he was shot in the foot earlier. Damn.
Seriously a lot of people would think this is just a silly Simon Pegg/ Nick Frost film… but I think it’s superbly written… It never gets old
"Owwww, it really hurts...."
"I could really use some ice cream"
"I'm going to miss out, Ice Cream"
It hurts from just watching it ...
@Funtime Classic Foxy yup. I gag whenever I see this.
@Funtime Classic Foxy worse than watching a guy get a blender to the crotch and being forced to drink it?
Because I imagine that to be more painful than this!
2:54 I love the way Danny reenacts Point Break!
Same lol
I don't care if this is a satire the action in this movie is absolutely amazing
I love how Nicholas’s Bosses now suddenly want him back.
They appreciated him a tad too late - and Nicholas is happy at Sanford already...
@@my_MillenniumFalcon yep don’t make fun of or under appreciate the smart hard working people cause if you lose them you’ll soon be wishing you had them back
One interestig thing theory I read is that the police knew something was off in the town and reassigned Nicholas there so he could uncover the mystery. He wasn't given a true mission to not raise alarm but they knew he was dedicated enough to find out by himself.
They made their beds, and now they have to sleep in them.
It kinda sucks for London, though. That explains why it was such a shi†hole when I lived there 😂
3:42 I didn't notice this until now but the swan is back with its owner
Good ol Pisstaker
1:52 As much as brutal as this scene is, it's actually very ironic that he is tripped by a toy truck that looks similar to his company's truck, and landed on the church's tower, which he used the top of it to kills Tim Messenger!
The truth was he was supposed to be dead, but they changed it to this just for a laugh
@@tomedy_official Good job they did change it. Otherwise that'd be super gory
@@danieloconnor9219 well if you think of it this way all those people he killed, suffered the same way is he did the only differences he has to live with it.
This movie is so oddly gruesome at times lol
Me: "What a crazy final fight! Especially because nobody died."
Edgar Wright: *laughs in sea mine*
"Oh, God no..."
The Swan Hiss/strike like Aliens was the funniest shit when I first saw that lmao
I also find it ironic that even though the Neighborhood Watch Alliance wanted Sanford to be "prim and proper" they let Tina the Table Dancer live.
The first time I saw this scene I genuinely thought that, when the helicopters came flying in, that they were going to arrest Angel, Danny, and the rest of the Sandford police for all the shit they did with absolutely no evidence of the NWA's wrongdoings whatsoever
Except for of course that Aaron kid Skinner threatened to shoot
And all the illegal firearms...
There is CCTV in The Supermarket.
And besides nicolas can led the authorities back to the castle where the dead bodies were
The mugshot scene tho LOL , everyone was busy cursing and swearing at Angel whom was busy processing them while Lurch was CRYING HHAAHAHAHAH
He had a child's mind. How would feel as a kid you were now going to prison for the rest of your life?
Yarp
Nicholas: he’s getting away, nobody can stop him!!
Swan: hold my wings!!
I find it darkly ironic that Frank is being arrested and put in the back, in the cage of a of a police van, while HE is still wearing his police uniform.
Well they're not going to strip him down in public!
That would be against the law!
@@nicktechnubyte1184 True, but what I mean is that it's ironic that Frank's a cop and yet he committed so many murders of innocents, which means that he abused what his uniform is supposed to mean. And I like how they used irony in order to emphasize the serious fact that NOBODY'S above the law.
@John Ivan Taro true, we really need more cops like Nicholas and Danny!
@@nicktechnubyte1184 Indeed. Because cops like Nicholas and Danny would be willing to directly stop police brutality/police corruption. True, most cops are good, but society must encourage more of the good cops to STOP the bad cops.
@@johnivantaro6684 Nicholas Angel would've put Derek Chauvin in the ER.
Goddamn, there's a moment earlier in the film where someone mentions that a swan can break a man's arm, and lo and behold the bad guy has a broken arm at the end of the film.
Too many callbacks.
I like how Roy Porter is still wearing the trap on his head and Simon Skinner still has the spike sticking through his jaw.
Can’t say they don’t deserve that
They had to throw them in prison anyway because they’re dangerous murderers! Of course they would get thrown in prison! Duh!
😐😐😐😐😐🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
They didn’t kill them all AND throw them all in prison TOGETHER at the same time, just threw them all in prison ONLY and didn’t kill them all! Duh!
😐😐😐😐😐🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

3:17 Attacked by a Swan!!!!
And got his arm broke by it!
David Arnold’s score in this movie is so underrated.
Cuz it never tries to be funny, it’s totally serious like his Bond scores which makes it so much funnier.
Lots of layered symbolism AND set up/ payoff humour in this movie.
Love it.
What’s even more hilarious here is that the last three baddies are dealt with by accidents (the very thing they were saying throughout the film). Dalton’s character is hurt by accident, Frank was by accident, and the last guy who shoots Danny accidentally falls on the sea mine.
I can't believe Frank actually threatened to kill his own son.
That is ouchers, but I also noticed that when he is about to use his gun, he targets Nicholas. Frank ultimately couldn't kill his son, just as Danny couldn't shoot his dad a bit later.
That just goes to show how insane he turned
2:54 cool Point Break reference

4:12 notice how he said the exact same thing when Martin Freeman’s character told Nicholas he was going to be transferred to the country
That F'ing Swan gets me every time!!!😂
Simon Pegg is hilarious
I love how you see them wheel Skinner off to hospital yet they never bothered to remove the cathedral spire which impaled his chin 🤣
Melissa McDonald They can't do that on the spot; that has to be done at the hospital, I guess?
Spencer Frank Clayton I mean how he still had it in the mugshot later
Melissa McDonald Haha!!
I think they decided to keep it in there for humour.
You're a fool. Why would they ever, ever do that? To kill him on purpose?
Chief Inspector: What do you say, Nicholas?
Metropolitan Inspector: We... We...
We have been trying to reach you for days.
Nicholas: Yeah, well, I've been kind of busy.
Metropolitan Sergeant: We need you back.
The figures have gone a little...squiffy in your absence, it has to be said.
Chief Inspector: Come back to London.
Sandford's hardly a fitting place for such an exceptional officer.
Me: OooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooH. So too good for Sandford now, is he ? Well you were perfectly capable and happy to stab Nicholas Angel in the back when he was making the rest of you lot look bad. But when it came to handling the REAL police work, You lot find yourself crawling and kissing his toes.
Skinner: (Groans Grudgingly) Ohhhh...why my own b-business...sucks
Me: Hahaha... (Gasps Scared) Oh mum?
Frank: Arrgh! DIE LAWRENCE!

I can appreciate that they probably wanted to save it for the hospital, but did they have to have Skinner's photo taken before he got that spire taken out of his jaw?
Maybe they can't?
If if they removed it, he'd probably die of blood loss!
I'm guessing that before they take Skinner to jail so until the courts sentence him to prison, they'd need a team of surgeons in order to remove the spire without killing Skinner. Then afterwards, he can be jailed until taken to court, then convicted, sentenced, and placed in prison.
@MarcusSLazarus What If Skinner Died While Taking The Spiral Out?
