WGBS Flyers NStars 1987

Throughout most of the 1980s, WGBS "Philly 57" broadcast the Philadelphia Flyers. Here on October 10, 1987 is the intro to the Flyers- Minnesota North Stars Game. Gene Hart and Bobby Taylor provide the analysis and then its off to "state of the art for 1987" intro graphics with the stock Philly 57 bumper music. Got to love those long-defunct sponsors including Oldsmobile and Bell of Pennsylvania. Recorded "off air" on October 10, 1987 from Hazlet, NJ (Monmouth County).

It brings back memories as a kid starting watching Flyers hockey. I wasn't able to watch home games on PRISM because I couldn't. But when the Flyers on the road I watch the the games on Channel 57. Thanks!!!!!

I miss that Philly 57 open music. I remember being angry when they changed it after the 87-88 season.
