Austin Montego (the one in the advert proably being the only Austin "Won't Go" ever made that moved without someone pushing it from the back!)
This is in my opinion the greatest arrangement of both of these anthems from a musical standpoint.
Wales does the greatest mix of nation and British patriotism out of all the UK nations, as demonstrated here
Quality.. Watched it in granada - land every night..
I really miss in vision continuity and proper regional ITV - it felt more homely and that the presenters actually appreciated you viewing.
You are so right there too-if only now then it was like it used to be then!!
Doesn't have the friendliness and fun we had from our announcers at Westward and TSW.
Welsh Anthem @ 4:29
thtat was a year before granada begins broadcasting 24 hours
What have Granada got to do with this? This is HTV.
Can I ask, what is it that the announcer says in Welsh at 4:25?
"Good night to you all. Sleep tight."
7:25
That endcap - 'Thames Production' - without date, was not an original, integral end to that episode of 'The Sweeney'.
When Ulster Television did regional repeat runs of 'The Sweeney', between about 1984 and 1987, some episodes were topped and tailed with original Thames idents and 'Thames Colour Production ending', but some episodes had neither - meaning they had to be added. Now if Thames was networking an episode, the topping amd tailing could be done live.
don't you gonna post a 720p/50p version of it?
No, I’d need to have kept the cassette as it would need to be re-captured. I threw this cassette out very soon after capturing it - like I do with most of my cassettes.
And where's the reminder to switch your set off? Huh?
In this example of the shutdown it was the visual reminder at 5:50 and the audible reminder at 5:54.
At 7:28, an irritating test tone is sounded, and would've been loud enough to wake up some sleeping viewers. After the tape cuts, the transmitter was most likely switched off for the night.
