Thousands of students in the Indian capital New Delhi were evacuated on May 1, 2024, after nearly 100 schools in the capital region and the adjoining suburb received a bomb threat by email. Police teams, dog squads and bomb disposal squads rushed to the schools, only for authorities to later determine that the threat “appeared to be a hoax.
