Saw Moody Blues on Cape Cod in July 1992. They were still playing big places at the time and took a last minute booking at a small 1300 capacity tent just as a fill in. The money wasn't there but they did a fabulous show and were extremely professional and hard working. I saw them a few years later in a big outdoor shed and it wasn't so hot. Oh, well.
This week on All-Star Wrestling: Sgt. Slaughter in action...We'll see the World Wrestling Federation tag team champions, The Wild Samoans...The Magnificent Muraco will take on challenger Salvatore Bellomo...Tony Atlas...a special appearance by Andre The Giant...and much more!
What attracts me to the song is how it captures that moment in time. I imagine the Moodies contemplating what to do next. Mike Pinder left the group. They'd been away with no new albums and no tours for a few years. It would be totally natural to move on to new projects. That's what creative people do. Also, they'd been together for a long, long time. Could make perfect sense to break up. And yet, in the end, the choice made was to keep that music alive and to add to it. "Came back--for you. Glad to see that you came too." A Gemini Dream is a dream shared by two or more people physically distant from each other. This song made fans happy.
1981 In Toronto, this seemed like the unanimous choice for number one song of the year, but over time, it's never really ranked as a legendary song on the same level as some iconic 80s songs.
SE PUEDE CONFUNDIR FACILMENTE CON ELO ESTA BANDA
