Two weeks ago today, my husband of 50 years, passed away. Oh how he loved me so very very much. He showed me and told me what I meant to him. This song says it all. The pain hurts so bad. I love him and miss him more than I could express.
I lost my husband five years ago. I couldn't listen to music for several years because we both loved music and it was a big part of our lives together. Every note was pain for me. Just recently began to enjoy music again. I still miss him terribly.
Dear Beverly, I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. "Nights In White Satin" , I think, is one of the most poignant love songs ever written and recorded. It's always been one of my favorites since the first time I heard it as a wee lad in '73. Only Gordon Lightfoot's "If You could read My Mind" can compare.
I drive a bus for seniors…this wonderful man I knew heard this song, started crying singing this out loud…I drove around the block a few times and let him have his moment with this song. He’s passed away but this song forever taught me how music can touch your soul ❤
My mother in Jordan lived and loved this song very much. She passed away three years ago. In the hospital with my aunts they were singing this song together with a big smile on her face. May she rest in peace and happiness. Thank you
This song seems to remind me that life is about loss. I've been married 40 years, and I know My time is coming. I just want to go before my wife,I couldn't live without her. You don't realize how short life is when you're younger, but now I do
Sad yet true. All of our time is coming, Don. Don't despair. I believe the other side is Beautiful ! Whoever leaves first just know that you'll be together for eternity. May god Bless You.
I hope you have some children or grandchildren to keep you here until your time has come to an end. As an older person I truly understand you. God bless you.
Yes…..I’ve been having the same thoughts. I am 67 but still feel 23 some days when this song described my broken heart. Life does go quickly. But, I’m glad God gave it to me, nevertheless. God bless you.
I dated a guy back in the day and this was our song. Whenever it came on we stopped whatever we were doing and danced to it. I remember on time we were driving down the road and it came on. We stopped the car, turned up the volume, got out of the car and danced to the song. Good time!!!
It never ceases to amaze me how something as simple as the soft strumming of a guitar or the hypnotic flow of a soothing voice can awaken all your senses. I just close my eyes and suddenly I’m transported back to a different time and place where life was much simpler. I can hear the voices of family and friends, smell the flowers on the cool evening breeze, and for a brief moment my loved ones are beside me and all is right in the world.
I lost both my parents this last year along with both of my dogs, the loss has been unbearable, but listening to this song brings me back to my childhood and helps me relive the memories I had with my loved ones, life is so delicate, never take the time you have with those you care for the most for granted. God I miss them.
Idk if I could survive that. I hope you have someone that you love almost as much as all of them, or that you are able to find someone for whom you could have almost that much love. I'm so sorry for your losses and the unfathomable pain you've endured.
I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert. This song takes me back to the simpler times of the mid 70s. I can still see the crowd and feel the emotions flowing through me. It was something that I'll never forget. To bad that this version didn't finish with the poem. "Breathe deep the gathering gloom, watch lights fade from every room......"
My grandma asked me to play this song because she was amazed at the fact you can play any song at all on CZcams. To see her smiling and humming along just makes me so happy. I'm glad she can experience and have these songs dear to her and listen whenever she wants. Thank you.
Such a beautiful song which was my parents favourite, we had this song at my Dads funeral in 2018 and we are having it again this Monday for my Mums funeral , when they will be reunited , they were married 50 years , together forever x
I lost my daughter, dad and my mom in the past 3 years. My mom passed away last month and I'm going through a lot with everything. I find comfort in remembering my time with them, some of it through music. This song popped up just yesterday and I was overwhelmed and overjoyed with emotions. I was 4 when I first heard Nights in White Satin❤. My mom loved this song 🎵 and so do I .... Thank you Mom❤❤❤ 🕊️🕊️🕊️.
It seems we lose our loved ones in groups. When I was cleaning out my uncle's ( and my best friend) apartment last month it really hit home that we come into this world with nothing and we leave this world with nothing. Hold the ones you love close while you still can.
If only I had a time machine to take me back to this time in my life. Music was outta sight and life seemed so simple. Truly was the best years of my life! Seems like yesterday.
I miss you Pops-I played this for your birthday today-I’m making spaghetti and sauce setting a place for you and we will have a silent dinner after everyone goes to bed-so keep that appetite till then- I do believe that you help me-and i believe that you have learned alot up there and have softened- I’ve learned to love you unconditionally and understand that you did your best and I thank you for being my dad🎉
Even at my young age of 28, this song still mesmerizes me. I absolutely love classics like this. It always helps me slow down and internalize the hear and now
Remember forever: This is what every woman wants, to learn that she will be loved through all her changes and development. The man can encourage more of what he fell in love with. Not that it's all on the man. She can do the same. Try not to discourage each other.
@@debbiemcneilrutz8010 Like you, I was born in the 50s, but I think if I had a choice in it, knowing what I know now, I'd choose to be born in the 40s. I don't remember anything from the 50s except small, little-kid stuff, like lifting up a board behind our house, and seeing a snake, dropping it and running to tell others who came, and not finding a snake, called me a liar. Tiny little snippets of memories. My real, clearer memories only begin in the 60s. My music memories begin in the late 60s. But I can say that I remember seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan the first time they appeared.

I'm kissing you softly through the frequency of this submittable message. Through it i'm still next your beautiful soul, my head next to yours. I'm there still, still holding on to your hand, tangling my fingers with yours, praying the minutes on the clock wouldn't tick, wouldn't move, wouldn't pass, because with it, goes my heart.
In my mid teens I first listened to the Moody Blues, and had a crush on Justin Hayward. I went to see Leeds Utd at Elland Road, and saw a coach with John Lodge & Co, driving through Leeds, no doubt for a gig. I finally got to hear Nights in White Satin live and other hits at Sheffield a few years ago, and it was packed out ... but of a certain age group! Listen to Blue Guitar, another classic.
When I was 12 years old- I was at My first summer camp and really liked this cute boy Greg - and He asked Me to slow dance to this song! 🩵 it always takes Me back to feeling excited in 1973!
My wife died eighteen months ago. We also love this song. When I hear it, I don't smile.... is just HARD to listen to. Forty nine years passed by too fast.
Two years ago my beloved husband of 30 years passed away. I loved him so much. Did I give him the life he deserved? We adored each other. I now know that everything we do has eternal ramifications. Love today like it’s your last. We never know...

Yes these are crazy and messed up times if you read 2nd Timothy 3:1 but know this that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. These times have been foretold eons ago we also know there's going to be a resurrection of the Dead according to Daniel 12-2 those who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake up .and what about Psalms 3:29 the righteous will possess the Earth and they will live forever on it. And then Matthew 24:14 this good news of the Kingdom will be preached to all the nations and then the end will come. To do more research go to jw.org

One of the most beautiful love songs of all time in history actually. It is perfectly yet simply written. Nothing fancy just simple words put together so graciously that it gives you goosebumbs every time you listen to it. Its a great masterpiece to say the least. Lets all enjoy great music like this because it will never be replaced. September 28, 2022
Nice the song with the lyrics

Bylam bardzo mloda, kiedy pierwszy raz uslyszalam te piosenke i zachwycilam sie nia. Dzisiaj mam 64 lata i moge jej sluchac non stop. Jest niezwykla. Jestem Polka 🇵🇱

In 1967, as crazy as this will sound, my parents were kids then (don't be shocked that I must tell you that I'm 17 years old, I have a brother who is also seventeen, but I'm older by 4 months, because his birthday is in April [this month] on the 11th [his birthday was six days ago]. As for me, my birthday is in December, yes, December 29th of 2002 was when I was born. The oldest of us was born on 1-16-95 [my half brother]. The youngest, my sister, born on 9-25-07.) (Oh, my brother's b'day, 4-11-03).

In my dad's old local pub, there was and old drunk name of Dennis. He hardly ever spoke, but my dad and his mates would put this on the juke box and say "go on Dennis" and he would drunkenly stand and belt this out pitch perfect guy was a legend and apparently an old backing vocalist.
This tune reminded me of medieval days with knights in white satin
I’m addicted to this song. I heard it on the radio last month for the first time. I want to go horse back riding through the mountains before sunset to this!!!! Shout out to the old souls still in their early 20s
2020 and trying to find calmer simpler times...these days are so crazy
Yes these are crazy and messed up times if you read 2nd Timothy 3:1 but know this that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. These times have been foretold eons ago we also know there's going to be a resurrection of the Dead according to Daniel 12-2 those who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake up .and what about Psalms 3:29 the righteous will possess the Earth and they will live forever on it. And then Matthew 24:14 this good news of the Kingdom will be preached to all the nations and then the end will come. To do more research go to jw.org
