- Was hoping to do a Gorgons II video, but it's hard to do a video on a mechanic that I've barely seen since I KEEP WIPING MY PARTY on this mechanic hahahahuhuhuhu... I have personally made all the mistakes featured on this video hahaha
This uses the Elemental PF priority system for assigning snakes.
Personally, I feel like the timing of the animations could've been better on this one, feels a bit slow vs how it actually feels in game. Also feels less funny than the last few ones but hope you enjoy it nonetheless!!

Not the worst Reality. I was wholly expecting for the WHM to be snapshotted by the roundhouse kick.

@@jacobkern2060 People standing in for the AoE at the start has happened a few times, yes. Also fun is people failing the "melee wiggle" and gazing other party members, failing to flex or flexing when they're not supposed to.... Pick your poison (puddle).
my favorite when two people with first poison stay mid and kill everyone before the second two snakes do their gaze lol

What about the gcd greed perfectly timed to face the boss/group while the debuff goes off

Had a DNC do this like 4 times in a row once.
They'll face the snake then a tenth of a second before the gaze goes off they just turn back and stone half the party.
It's the worst when it doesn't even show that you turned. You just fart out a cloud of petrifaction behind you, then have to explain yourself to your boss before you can leave the elevator.
ATTACKED
You have a roughly 0.6 seconds of turning animation so a GCD perfect turn will result in shooting in your teammate's face
Watching the tanks get launched near the end made me laugh harder than need be lol
Tanks surviving and going "well then" before YEETing is like my average wipe experience 😅
As a whm main myself I gotta respect the slide casting out of transition chariot but total missed opportunity to slide under the boss after blasting the snake to not have to worry about the second set of gorgans while glare mage-ing

Two key mistakes missed:
1.) Looking at the snake to aim your cone at it [after] it shows up and [before] the snake does the petrify wave
2.) Petrify cone directly through the center of the party and boss from a melee DPS player for no reason whatsoever
But yeah, there are only so many ways to see snakes explode in one pull, and there are [plenty] of ways that PF fucks it up, lmao.

False, somebody would die from his leg sweep attack, forgetting to move out, and since you have 7 out of 8 people, you can't prog any more
So fucking accurate. PF makes this absolute hell since they have to actually pay attention to their buffs smh
I’d say the best mess up in my group is when me and the other gaze somehow managed to get petrified facing the other’s snake. We resolved the mechanic but in a rather bad yet funny way.
"Remember, don't look at the snakes." 2 seconds later, "Why am I looking at the snake?"
Another reality
-Someone stood still inside the hitbox and get face kicked
-1 person don't have debuff
-T/H/DPS greed for GCD during voice and gaze entire party in mid
-T/M forgot to flex.
-poison AoE person got gazed by snake and dies.
The list goes on.
Nobody getting hit by the first round of snake gazes? Unbelievable.
You said you barely seen this mechanic? Everything looks pretty accurate and relatable to me.
the only thing missing is someone using arm's length and standing in the aoe thinking its centaur
Reminds me of light rampant from Shiva. Such an easy mechanic but no one wants to give up a GCD. "My bad. Greed. Turned too fast/slow." Like get out of here.

Ah yes the PvP player case in PvE content. Sometimes someone gets petrified by other player but manages to petrify their snake and resolve the mechanic somehow.

I've seen worse x'D People not looking away at first set of snakes and getting petra'd. Cleaving the whole party through the boss with gaze, wiping even before the second set comes out lmao

Only thing change in this 2 caster party is BLM playing melee position.
and that D2 BLM did everything correctly.

Having almost* cleared this tier, and understanding these videos, I can only reach one conclusion.
90% of people doing Savage content should not even be going near it with a 12 malm pole. So many people who play this game are total trash and utterly incompetent when it comes to learning and executing mechanics. Snakes 1 is NOT a hard mechanic, nor is Devour, or Cach 1, or Harvests. And yet, people consistently die to them.
This tier was fun but going forwards I think I’m not going to be doing Savage content, not because I can’t do it, but because others can’t, and dealing with other people is my weakness. Fuck PF.
(I got stuck in a Trap Static who couldn’t do Fourfold Fires to save their lives, I got kicked which was a blessing in disguise, so I can play other games and get proper sleep, no interest in finishing the tier)*
