FF14: P7S Harvests - Expectation vs Reality

- A quick video for the third fight of this tier -- the mech that wakes everyone up after a sleepo first 3/4 of the fight hahaha
Just some notes about the video:
1. There are a few simple mechs between War's Harvest and enrage, but decided to skip it so the video isn't too long
2. These follow JP PF strats, specifically Death's Harvest JP Braindead/Fixed Positions and War's Harvest Inumaru
3. The biggest failure of this video is that I was unable to portray the most common reason for dying (at least for me) --- falling off the edge of the platform HAHAHA

As a healer, the healer lb3 at famine got me
every time on prog thats was my scenario and my static XD
My group just got to enrage today and I'm already feeling that LB 3. (10%, so now it's time to improve)
you didnt have to include a plot but you did and the world is all the better with it
I feel the pain in my chest when i saw 1% left. Gosh! It hurts.
Last night i got 0.2% i wanna die..
We got a 0.1% wipe last week, and next pull we were largely ahead, we clear the harvests, and for some reason half the party dies to the next raidwide and we don't make it. I wanted to cry :')
it's even more painful when suddenly ppl have to go and you are left alone
And even if harvests were done correctly, a few deaths and that's usually not enough to get past enrage. But that's just because this is such a backloaded fight, as it's often been mused.
This actually super helped me learn this mechanic, once I saw this video it all clicked instantly!

While these are jokes they're actually great at teaching the Mecha and helping one visualize how one can fuck it up.

Huh I see now, I like these more than the day 1 vids due to how well edited you made it, as a matter of course. Plus, I only have to take in visual information, and there’s no auditory narration to interrupt my own mullings on how to resolve the mechanic.
The fact that you can still get so close with so many deaths but it’s not enough is frustrating AF

God if you can make a guide for the tiers that would be so great. Your animations are so smooth and amazing to watch 😭😭 i love them so much.
This animation is incredibly clean and the models are fantastic.
If you wanted to put the time in, if you did full animations of mechanics as a guide (or to go with another written/video guide) it would be so much clearer to a lot of people than the current method of either looking at vods/diagrams/tooltips.

Having just cleared P7S for the first time yesterday, this is painfully relatable... So many enrages....

We enraged on one of our reclears last week. Enrage went out, screen went black - we cleared. The enrage had already wiped out half the group but we killed it just as it went out and it hadn't finished ravaging the group yet. Never saw that happen before!
This is great. I wish party finder would let me prog harvest but it is all fruit 4 prog
Our group had a 0.1% wipe. We did every mechanic perfectly, but then our healer dced and i had no mana to heal with and we ended up perishing to the raidwides that followed ;-;. Saddest day of my life
Woah, our group also got killed in last raidwide due to both healer are out of mits, but the two tank lived and managed to finish off the boss.

Are you a sage by any chance? - Sage main who never has any mana.
@@Dractonis Nope. Sch. Sage shouldnt have bad mana issues compared to sch/whm. they use less mana, and have more regen than sch.
@@f1reman237 WHM mana management is a joke because of thin air. It's not as powerful as it used to be but you're saving so much on ressing alone or high cost spells with the two stacks of it. One res or death is crippling for a sage. (I play both and run with SGE/WHM comp in savage). I'm fine if no one dies or murders me, but :')
it's missing the part in war where the ones tethered to the minotaurs die because my sole reprisal wasn't enough to save them

Before a gear upgrade we had a 1% wipe, a 2% wipe and a 0.4% wipe.
Before our Dancer remembered to select a partner, we had a 0.6% wipe!

I'm just mad now I had it right death harvest but war looks like it will be the regular start then I did get it wrong since there's way to many starts

In my case, people will forget to rez by 2nd harvest then 1 guy get 2 tethers. He then panic and wipe the team
By that point, if you're DPS and if it's PF, and if you didn't just immediately die to Famine, the team's probably lost enough DPS that they'll fail enrage.
Man, for us it would be like the perfect run up to that point, then one or two of the DPS somehow messing up right before the end giving us 1%...

1% by the end of harvests is actually really good for all those deaths. If they'd healed and mitigated they'd have cleared.
sure the dps is good if they save lb for harvest. The usual strat lb3+lb2 is like 1.5%.

tanks are supposed to stack on top of each other and invuln otherwise one of the tanks will cleave a healer
