Please Rafa, go to the French Open and get a one hour standing ovation when it is all over.
Standing up for a mere mortal for that long lol
Besides Nadal himself won't like it as he has always said he's an ordinary person and he's not special.
Presientes que va a salir en la primera ronda 😂
Nadal won't play the French Open if he doesn't think he has even a small chance of winning it.
he may be physically more fit at the U.S Open .
If Nadal doesn't know if his body can hold up that means he is already playing with a little pain.
Yes please
what a sincere and genuine fighter and sportman he is
His backhand was on 🔥
Looks like Nadal backhand is getting better than his forehand after today's match... Great match today.. Noticeable improvement c compared to his last match against minaur.. Vai carai
This might be the worst take I ever seen, his forehand was clearly better the whole match.
Yeah absolutely not
De Minaur didn’t play well. He played better at Barcelona.
What? He was missing the backhand all match and had no confidence
Becuase he was forced by Rafa . When you compete against Rafa,Noak and Federer they will froce you do some mistakes.@@michelewilliams4702
I have never seen Rafa smiling so much. Glad he is feeling confident and enjoying his last year. Looking forward to seeing him one last time at the Laver cup.
Perfect explaination of Rafas view on RG. I can see his point of view. He has so many incredible moments there. Its a temple to him. I always appreciate how he speaks from the heart.
exactly. if he doesn't believe he can hold up physically and have a shot at going all the way, why should he tarnish his record there? besides he didn't lose in 2023 since he didn't play. so, he could potentially retire as the 2022 champion
It is so strange to hear him speak this way. I've watched him from the beginning, and imo there's more than what he is saying 😢 my love ❤ #vamosrafa
He seems so calm and philosophical. 🙏
Rafa is the most realistic person regarding his tennis career. So happy that I traveled around the world to see you.😊
me too! In 2011,15 and 16 for RG...worth the trip even when he was injured and then lost to Djoko.
That was my dream ! Good for you to be able yo do it🎉
Totally agree with Rafa's sentiment on RG. RG meant a lot to him all these years and the people who supported him. Obviously Rafa would like to play at his best and will let us know when he's ready not just a dream. Vamos Rafa! 💪🔥❤
Alex is having a great year so far and did everyone forget he bet Nadal last week? The pressure must be unreal. I have always been a Nadal fan, but absolute respect for the players who are part of a media/crowd/expectations circus. Alex has a strong present and future. Nadal is already a legend.
Love you Rafa ❤️🥰
HE IS A FIGHTER < BUT REALISTIC TOO < HE HAS THE FEET ON THE GROUND < IF HE BELIEVES AND HIS BODY RESPONDS HE WILL FIGHT !! YOU DONT HAVE TO PROVE TO US THAT YOU ARE GREAT < YOU ARE A LIVING LEGEND < EVERY MATCH IT IS A PRESENT < THANK YOU RAFA , VAMOOOOOS!!!
🎯🎯🎯
Rafa power strikes again. Bravo champ. Vamos. I will always pray for you to continue playing as you say its not about winning but playing longer on courts. You will pass with flying colors starting in Madrid. Keep up the passion and being hardworking till you reach the goal until you hanged your rackets. You are very inspired by the people of Spain especially . It is your kingdom the clay enjoy every moment of it while you are there. Well done rafa nadal. Once and for all you show that you are not finished yet. 😊
Nadal speaks his mind in such an honest way.
the questions were so disrespectful towards Alex, Rafa was also not happy that they asked him about RG all the time.
I don’t agree. He gave very long answers it looks like he was eager to explain what he’s thinking about RG and more
This isn’t about Alex, fans are keen to hear about RG and his health. Quit this nonsense
@@Mixedbaby76that’s exactly what made the questions disrespectful to Alex 😂 because if he’s in a press conference purely to answer the journalists’ questions on rafa, then they may as well direct all their questions to rafa and not waste Alex’s time.
Disagree with this comment. We are talking about a legend last tournament. Once Rafa is out , tennis will never be the same , no one will repeat his achievements with RG at least in my life time. Everything should be about him and not some opponents. Who the fcuk cares about Alex , wish him luck next time
@@spacex4160 why bother interviewing him then. just need nadal's interview and that's all. there wasn't a single question to Alex in which Rafa wasn't the dominant theme 😂
I savour every second you play Rafa, you are simply the best 😊
One of the best ever sportsmen with a good head on his shoulders ❤️
Thanks Rafa for giving an entirely new dimension to the spirit of sports and the definition of sportsman. Please don't give up yet.
We love you Rafa!
Rafa you've been my idol for the last 20 years. Please just come on rolland garros one last time... Please..
Doubles with alcaraz? I would imagine that could work if his body isnt up to singles
no, only if he is physically ready and personally believes he has a shot. 2022 was a miracle win, against all odds and beyond belief. his two 6-2 sets vs Djokovic in the quarters were beyond surreal and in all honesty i don't know how he won that year. he didn't play in 2023 so technically unbeaten and i firmly believe he shouldn't tarnish his record if he is not fully 💯 ready to go all the way. he can't serve with a lot of power, his forehand is too short though his backhand was fantastic at key moments.
So, i will more than understand if he says no mas` at the french. everyone knows he is the greatest FO champion. By far. He has nothing left to prove
His simplicity, honesty every time - it is amazing how he has remained like this despite his tremendous success. I admire him
Such an amazing human being. Very privileged to have witnessed him for so long
We pray for your good health. Hope you can have few slams.
yes, one can hope but i think this is his last year. a lot will depend on how his body holds / gets ready for BO5. No joke.
but he has more than earned the right how he wants to say goodbye
Hats off Rafa ❤
Gran victoria has jugado muy bien.ojala vayas a Roland garros.
Alex, you answered each person’s questions well. Learn the lessons, become even better.
nadal shouldnt retire this year. He should only play the clay season after the next year when he has still problem with his body. Its to sad to retire from tennis when he plaays like today. What a performance today. AMAZING:;:;:;:;:
I'm a Nadal fan and completely agree with you! I think he should play until RG this year, maybe Olympics and leave it at that. RG should be his last slam for the year, and then he'll play laver cup as he promised and retire like Roger did. I love seeing him play, and will absolutely miss him. But it's better for him to hang the racquet rather than staining his great H2H with the players and the Win-Loss rates.
@@cleospatra If he's healthy I hope he competes at the Olympics. I mean it's his last chance at a medal. It's also easier on the body than a slam. I guess it'll depend on how important it is to him.
I doubt he will win another Big title but we should be super Happy just to see him fighting and even winning elite players in their prime....
He is a warrior and a Champion.
It’s time ❤️ go home and enjoy your wonderful family !! U don’t owe us anything !! You r a legend 🎾🎾🎾
Rafa wants to give roland garros good run
Today, Rafa took an important step and more importantly his body held up for a couple of hours, that's good news for now. Rarely, does Rafa lose to the same player twice.
Di minur ain't exactly a clay court specialist but you ain't coming up against a fitter athlete in today's game so it was a good test for Nadal that
Well on clay no, if this was hard court, Nadal would have lost 1-1, Nadal lucky it's on his surface, even then, he was having a tantrum melt down with the umpire, lol.
È possibile che la Nike non gli fa pantaloncini che gli tirano nel culo?😮

You are the best Rafa
Man may find way to land on sun, but i dont think anyone can break 14 Roland Garros record.
That’s written in stone for sure. The same can be said of Nole’s 24. These records are staying for ages to come.
@@theamazingbrokenman can’t agree more. Big 3 poured immense pleasure to tennis fan’s life for more than 20 years.
If anyone can, It's Rafa.
Well said Demon, he was under a tremendous pressure knowing if he wins again twice in a row, he will be the villain. But he tried his possible best but ended up playing into Rafa's hand.
The match felt as if Alex was playing the whole stadium. Shame he didn't bring his a game, he looks slightly nervous and unsure of himself imo.
Rafa please play rolland garros even if you just showup you are a winner. Vamos Rafa💪
No lol he won’t show up to just make the numbers
Playing tennis is his cure
he is a beast! he will win Roland Garros
You must be kidding. Get back to reality please. 7 x 5 sets??
@@blucat4 He's already done it 22 times (14 in Paris), and sometimes with very little practice. You'll tell me in 1.5 months, when you get back to reality, primo!
@@enriquemartinez7302 Reality is he is vaxx damaged and his body cannot even go 3 sets with De Minaur, let alone 5 sets x 7 matches. Doesn't matter what he's done in the past, he is injured.
RAFA,⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
There's no way Rafa's body will hold up to 2 weeks of 5 set matches...😔😒
Alex De Minaur ❤❤❤❤❤
Yes that’s who lost and you spelled his name correctly. Good job.
Es buen jugador. Tiene dentro el poder español
funny how he drank the water at the end, instead of the advertised electrolyte drink lol
4:20 all that matters, all other questions are irrelevant 🙏
Maybe you did not watch the match. Nadal plays with his 60 % although he can play even more. He cares his body and do not force the edge. However, in the couple of games, he wanted to push little bit more and see how his body will react. It was incredible as he hit that last passing shot. That shot was as good as his best passing shot. After that shot, Nadal got emotional as he started to believe he can reach better version of himself. He is also discovering himself. Amazing moment to watch
As much as his forehand was not as good as it used to, even though he did hit those few down the line. His backhand was on fire!!!
Alex seems really pissed of with how the crowd behaved...😒😑
We don’t care
Alex is a really smal cat and Rafa Lion
Come on Nadal you have to play RS you owe your fans that 😮😮 Ok maybe not but we sincerely need you there ! You can win dude come on 😊
we own him, not the other way around. 112w 3l, what does he owes us?
YES, like Federer at Wimbledon, but if Rafa can't play French, he obviously can't win at Wimbledon or U.S. Open.
@@pauljohnson6019he won’t play us open
Rafa wants his body to hold best out five its a case of him being on the court for hours playing with at a high level
De Minaur is the only player to beat both Nadal and Djokovic this year, but also the only player to get beaten by both of them 😅 (I know they both haven’t played much this year)
I was wondering, apart from de Minaur this year and Alcaraz in 2022, when was the last time and who was the last player to beat both Nadal and Djokovic in the same year?
Rafa has the same issues that Milos has. They both can still be competive on the atp tour but their bodies will not allow them to consistently compete in these tournaments. But Nadal looked good today so I hope he can keep it going.
Q viva el rey ! Tengan cuidado todos ehh la fiera esta lista para la ultima batalla en paris !
Toro mara civeto almamda cake horas churos oranga Rafa
👑👑👑
I still sincerely believe that if Rafa is healthy and playing competitively at the end of this year he will play 2025 season. He hasn’t confirmed that 2024 will be his last; it’s all speculation and potentially this potentially that. 2024 hasn’t gone how he wanted it having been out for 1/3 of it and if he feels he still has a realistic chance of winning tournaments I can’t imagine him throwing the towel in yet. The amount of hard work and dedication it’s taking for him to come back after being off for so long just wouldn’t be worth it for just another 6 months of tennis. We shall see. Novak seems to be fatigued a lot easier than even 6 months ago so this may prevent him winning another slam. If Rafa plays a couple more years and only wins the French he will equalise on the 24 slams Novak has ❤
this is pure proof that money is irrelevant and that love has no boundaries
❤❤❤❤❤
Alex...sits your ass down, and learn some RESPECT!!!! VAMOS RAFA!!!!
what respect are u talking about? alex didnt do anything?
I think it's quite clear he won't be playing Rolan Garry's unfortunately... he's saying it without saying it 😢
It did seem that way. But he at least left the door open - let's see how I wake up tomorrow.

nadal should play french oepn doubles.
Alex deminaur looks like Jim Carrey and Macaulay Culkin
Sit still, Alex!
Why Madrid open have challenge but Monte Carlo and barcelona didnt?
Barcelona is a poor compare to Madrid.
👏👏🙌
it's not really dull who played great, it's de minaur who played bad
Who the fuck puts a big-arse microphone smack bang on the line joining the main camera with the interviewees face? 🤨🙄
Personally I think it's pretty clear Nadal has been avoiding going all out, doesn't want to be injured for RG/Rome. Once he won that set he upped his level a bit to finish it quickly, had he lost the tiebreaker I could see him dropping the second set.
Demon losing to a guy ranked #511 in the world. Might be time to play pickleball
what are you smoking? rafa may be #511 but hasn't forgotten to play Top 5 tennis despite his hiatus. his physicality is improving but no one knows if je can't take it anymore even if he wins his next match

De MInaur ... what a sour little grape. No respect for Rafa.
He reminds me of Mr Bean, same level of intelligence.

Just don't understand why RG can't give a seed number to Rafa.. after 14 titles there. Didn't Wimbledon give #1 to Serena when she was also coming back from an injury and out of Top100? I just feel Rafa is slowly trying to inform everyone that he's not playing RG, at least singles and I just hope it's not because how RG treats him regarding seeding the players for the tournament.
Wimbledon seeding is different. the FO follows the same protocol as all other slams. that being said if rafa isn't physically ready to play BO 5, why should he tarnish his record (112-3) by playing when he doesn't have a chance to go all the way? plus RG has built a statue in his honor. its unprecedented but not surprising. No one has won a slam event 14 times in the open era. Its a staggering achievement, and may never be broken.. don't forget, he hasn't been beaten since 2022 and there is no shame if he doesn't play. after all, his last win was as champion and he won 2022 against all odds , and beyond belief. surreal achievement
@@z1az285 What is the FO seeding? Is Rafa not going to be seeded? How do you know? Can they not give him one if they want regardless of his ranking?
@@blucat4 Well, the FO seedings typically follow the ATP rankings. Rafa doesn't have a protected ranking anymore, so either he has to play qualies or given a wild card at best. but no, he can't be seeded at the french.
@@z1az285 Thanks. I thought they didn't *have* to follow the rankings if they didn't want to. Well he'll definitely get a wildcard if he asks.

Djokovic is the real father of orsakas Child
I want to see Rafa at French Open, and see if he chokes in the finals, if he reaches it, against Djokovic, at 40-15, like Federer did, I choke, you choke no?
i don't if he is not ready physically and i will be happy if he doesn't play precisely for this reason. after all he is undefeated at the FO since 2022. why should he dilute his own record if he doesn't have a good chance to go all the way, not just win a few rounds.
I completely understand Nadal. He should not play RG if he does not think he can win it. He is not ready, he should heal his body properly. He won today, but his true power shots were not there. He is not back yet.
yes, exactly. but his backhand saved him. his forehand was too defensive and frankly was a liability at times
@@z1az285 His backhand was fragile too. Too many mistakes. It looks like he has problems to coil his body fully because of abs issue. It is impossible to play tennis well if you have any body issues.
@@DeltoidBeast And there is no need for him to tarnish his RG record if he isn't ready. let's not forget he hasn't been beaten there technically since 2022 (even that FO win was truly incredible), so i for one completely understand if he wants to go out with that memory.
@@z1az285 Exactly. I still expect Nadal to play well beyond 2024, and retire 2028. I think he will solve his body issues and be ready for 2025 season. This season should be season of fixing his body.
@@DeltoidBeast let's hope for the best
Why Why can't Naomi Osaka make the same comeback, congrats Rafa hope you can make it to the final.
Nadal is really exceptional when we talk about back from injury. Even Sharapova wanted to take inspiration from Nadal about 'back on top' from injury (she said it 2019, but sadly she retired before she came back again).

OK what part of I don't know yet do they not understand? There are NO more ways to get Rafa to say what he will do in one day, let alone in 2-3 weeks. It's because theses press folks are under pressure to ask probing questions to get the best,...whatever. I'm getting tired of hearing Nadal talk about how he feels and if he's not ready blah blah blah, he's clearly in pretty good shape and it seems to me the excuses are there in place for when he does eventually get beaten by the top players. De Menaur was a good test but he's no Medvedev, Sinner or Djokovic.
Because he is feeling pain on and off in his abdomen. Not today but may feel it tomorrow morning or in the next match
When one has a congenital foot issues that affects many other body issues with pain there is no promise that every day will be pain free. He is not making excuses.
I'm tired of hearing Nadal but here I am again wasting my time listening to him and writing comments 🤡
I dont think he is in good shape, he cannot even serve properly. Slow footspeed, no 1st serve possible, shaky groundstrokes, especially backhand, he is playing like some clay court guy ranked 40. If his health allows him to play Roland Garros, i would be surprised if he can make it into the 2nd week.
He might be feeling okay today but he has had no ATP tour matches for almost 2 years. Matches played is just as important as mental and physical fitness when it comes to winning.
It took Zverev months to get back to form after his long lay-off and he's only 27. It will be a miracle if Rafa keeps going in this tournament or at RG but the media keep asking anyway. I'm happy just to see him play. To win of course but we need to be realistic.
