usualy the cost of energy produced is around Rs 50 to 60 per unit at NTP , defenetly the output of Engine driving the generator also be very less due to high altitude
It can used as a last option and expecially during cross country travells. Hopefully you can see that every 50-100 Km of country will be provided with charging stations like petrol bunks

Can you check if nexon ev car can be run directly on gnerator that is instead of battery generator as power source and if it works check how much it goes with 1 liter petrol/diesel
Vehicle must have two separate battery compartments one compartment shall be used for driving.
One more compartment get charged while on the move by generator with earthing on the go option or at idle position. This cannot be done on branded car like this but there are ways to do it charging on the go for modified or conversion cars.

Carry portable charger is very easy then genset, but portable charger comes very expensive, genset u can buy on rent
What's the point, currently advantage of using EV is the power source is around 12% from renewable energy or you can have your own solar powered power source.

Tata should built a car with inbuilt range extender small engine to dc fast charge ev in 3 to 4 hours

Its already there in bmw rex to handle range anxiety its a good thing now later on when there is enough charging infra and battery technology improves it will automatically be removed mr anup u have to see the larger picture
That is going to cost a few lacs at least extra for engine, Plus the weight added will affect the range too. For that price you could buy the Chinese ZSEV that has extra range
Adding all these complexities defeats the purpose of owning an EV. Just need some patience for the charge Infra to improve.
Till then beg borrow and steal for charging!

I think u shud also make a video on various issues of setting up a charge point at apartments, and likewise solutions that can be executed.
Eg. Setting up a plug point. What shud be various considerations. What if the parking is far from any electrical setup etc

Try using foldable solar panels with solar mmpt controllers !! Foldable panels not yet available in India !!
Company ko modified karke inbuilt generator dena chahiye agar 500rs ke cost me full charge ho jaaye to phir ev cars bahut fast grow karega... Kyuki ab bhi india me ev cars long tour ke liye nahi le rahe hai... Mean 3-4 din ke liye kahi jaaye to charging point kaun dhundega... Inbuilt hoga to koi bhi aaram se drive karke chala jyega jisse ev cars ek dam se aage bdh jayega
End result is - by this method ev will run 5 kmpl of petrol in generator.

hello.....suggestion.... can you wire the car airconditioner to a portable power bank like a eco flow or some other brand, where you can run your car in eco mode without the ac, although the ac will be powered with a separate portable power station in the trunk......so you can increase the range of the car
Hey no expertise in rewiring of ac cables as in how to do it also that might void battery warranty if we play around with things connected to the main battery
Did good try Dears, have you tried with common Grounding between generator Grounding and charger Grounding. Rule is to do 'closed loop' in electrical system to solve static charge to dump or neutralize...

This kind of charging option is good for taking the vehicle in such a place where standard electric supply is not available, in such a scenario cost of petrol/fuel is not relevant generally. .Nice Video, though you guys can simply use one wire for both earth and neutral, it will work sufficiently, meaning from one wire in ground or any ground point (which will conduct ac current in suffiecient amperage) , on the other end of the wire split it into two and insert one end in earth and other in neutral (note: primarily earth is required only in AC in case the neutral is broken (that is for additional safety), which why a dc based circuit does not required earth as it has only a positive and negative points to complete the circuit) , only if this split technique don't work then you need to use 2 cables one for neutral and other for earth, but normally a single cable with one end in/on ground and 2 split points one in neutral and earth should not cause any issue that is would be a safe option. Hope this helps.

If you have heard of portable power stations like yeti 1000, jackery explorer 1000, etc. People use them as large power backups in case of emergency and they are solar compatible. Is it possible if you can test charging nexon ev using one of these?
Also there a few lithium battery manufacturers in and around pune who provide "range extender" for e2o and e'verito can they bring up an extender for nexon ev? I know one called Northway motors. See if it helps to have a range extender for nexon too.
Hey we did get in touch with NorthWay some time back about ev conversions of ice vehicles but they are not ready to commercially to discuss these things till they launch it properly ... we have heard of these power stations and some power banks but acquiring them for tests is getting difficult as they are not locally available in the market ... we are working on it thou hopefully we get our hands on them n we make a video for you all 🤞🏻

Why dont you try with inverter battery, does evs have slot for dc charging?
The dc charging guns are only available at fast chargers sadly we get only ac charging gun with the car

Because Generator is more efficient than an IC engine of the car because the energy conversion is mechanical to electrical while in Vehicles it is mechanical to mechanical.
They are trying to solve the range problem here.

Does the charging work on the regular plug point. If not, I have seen people coming up with workaround like a 4mm wire with a regular 3 pin plug on one end and an mcv plug on the other so that you can connect to the regular plug points anywhere and use the gun for slow charging incase fast charging is not available..Can you check that possibility..it may come really handy.
Hi charger works on any regular 15 amp sockets we have already covered charging at a hotel in our second episode using an extension cable do check it out

No as solar panels have low efficiency. Even if you put solar panels on your car and connect it to battery it will generate very less power and due to the weight of panel, car overall weight will increase and less mileage. So your investment will be wasted.
