- This is an instruction video for patients in North Central London who have been asked to do a faecal immunochemical test (FIT) because they have visited their GP about bowel problems.
Viewers should note that the process for returning samples given in this video is not the same when doing a FIT as part of the national bowel cancer screening programme in England.
Modelling clay was used for the material shown in this video.
Very helpful video. Thank you.
The label form on the bottle has a sticker with N A D what should the entries be?. The paper instructions instructions inconsistent.
1) I collected sample on Friday evening forgetting that the GP is closed Sat and Sun. Is the time between collection and getting the sample to the path lab critical in any way?
2) Unusually I had gone out on a binge on the night before probably about 20 to 25 UK alcohol units consumed between 3pm Thursday and 1 am Friday. Is that likely to cause a false positive?
It should be ok but better get a new sample
I also did my sample on a weekend and my GP surgery contacted me and said the lab were unable to process my results and they’ve asked me to do another test. I think the stool “expired” so to speak 💩💩😅😅
Is that actual poo
The poo you described is actually a modelling clay for this video.
Yep I thought it could be even made out of food... you could easily do a model from so many things. Good model tho@@Stevencoleman-yr2je
Why. Does it matter?
this video needs a pg-13 rating.
Try to be in your 20s or 30s with blood in your stools. It doesn't need a "pg13 rating "🤦🏻♀️. This video can saves lives.
