  • I decided to go to Nürburg in Germany which will be the first international trip in the second life of my G-Wagon, a symbolic trip to the homeland of all the Gelande Wagons in the world. I am traveling with my friend Tomasz, a trailer, and his motorcycle.
We have a couple of goals to achive.
I want to make a long trip without any service or maintenance, test some of my overlanding gear and gain more confidence after the total rebuild which is still fresh in my mind. We start from my place where we load the motorcycle onto a trailer, meaning my G-Wagon will have much harder work to do...
Trip total was around 2800 km

Great video, we also went to Nuburgring with our g500 like a month ago, and then moved to an offroad park that is not far away from it. By the way i need a new roofrack with very low profile (garage height problem) Do yoy have any suggestion?

Thanks, yes I saw that off road track, but it was closed when I was passing it by. Roof Rack - maybe best to search at some of your local internet shops, shipping for these items can be expensive

Thanks, I have once made this video about OM606 fuel consumption: czcams.com/video/mz7pJILCCJg/video.html
Average fuel consumption for this G Wagon is 12,4L/100km
This time I have just simply added up the fuel bills.
For this trip it was around 350 liters of fuel.

I assume it is less then 3.0t when loaded, but I don't have exact numbers - I'm curious about it as well. I will try and weight it until end of this week, I will keep you updated.

@@MercedesOffRoadClub I had a LR Defender 90 & when prepared for remote travel weighed 2600kg with 160lt of fuel. For a 4 door adventure truck that is a great weight. Thank you for your information.
