Classic 2013 NCAA second round. #9 seed WSU Vs. #1 seed Gonzaga. Sorry for the relatively poor video quality. This is for educational purposes - no infringement intended.
Awww. Our babies Ron Baker and Fred Van Vleet would go on to be the best back court in college basketball. Loved our Shockers then; love our Shockers now.
It's crazy that this shockers team ended up having 4 pros on it. Van Vleet, Early and baker all going NBA(even if for a short time) and cotton is overseas. Marshall put together an impressive roster.
This was indeed a shocker, but the thing that so many people forget is that Gonzaga's best perimeter defender (by far), Gary Bell Jr. , broke his foot in this game, which is part of the reason why WSU went wild from 3 point land. Moreover, Gonzaga's entire scouting report was designed to clog the interior because WSU sucked as a 3 pt. shooting team all year. I am not creating excuses - by making it to the final 4 and producing the pros it did that the Shockers proved their worth - but it's really hard to adjust your game plan when a team gets hot from three when they sucked from three all season, and your best, elite perimeter defender breaks his foot during the game. Even if GU had somehow advanced, there is no way they would've gone to the Final 4 without Gary Bell Jr. Gary, in addition to being an great defender, was also a great long range shooter.

An NBA ALL-STAR even. Wichita State!
Armstead is overseas
I will never forget this game
Before this game, Mark Few and Gregg Marshall met in the 2005 West Region Round of 64 in Tucson, AZ (#3 Gonzaga vs. #14 Winthrop).
Future Knicks Baker and Early..and Raptors NBA finals hero Van Vleet...
ive never in my life seen so many desperation shots go in. State was unconscious. was sick to watch.
The Shockers went nuclear from the 3 pt line.
Always liked this game..
Wichita State shocked Gonzaga.
Fred VanVleet with the dagger.
One of the most clutch shots I've seen. He almost turned the ball over seconds before the dagger. Talk about onions.
1:32:57: Onions!

Gonzaga would have won is bell didn’t get hurt
You should upload Indiana (2015), Cal Poly (2014), Pittsburgh and La Salle (2013) if you have them.
I'll see what I got. CBS got me for a copyright strike on one recently. Seems like if it's high def it's a no-go.
OK, got Pittsburgh and LaSalle.
Pitt, LaSalle, Indiana uploaded
Awesome, you should check out my tournament playlist.
Absolutely terrible no-call with 4:33 left. Refs got caught up in the underdog fever. Pathetic.
