    After three negative videos about Revenge of the Fallen and Age of Extinction and The Last Knight, it's time we learn some positive lessons from Michael Bay -- which must exist because his movies make billions of dollars and are respected by the like of Christopher Nolan and James Cameron. And the best way to do that is 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which is the highest grossing film in the franchise and thus a movie loved by the general audience. So, in today's Film Perfection let's look at Transformers 3 starring Shia Labeouf to see how Michael Bay builds blockbusters that general audiences love and are willing to buy a ticket for.

    Sentinel is basically the Fallen done right. The whole thing in the second movie, was that they crafted a machine that extracts the energy from the sun, but they all agreed to not use the machine on any solar systems with life, until the Fallen broke that promise and tried to use it on Earth.
    Really both Villains are asking the same “us or them” question, but with Sentinel, it feels more personal, especially for Optimus and it feels more desperate for sentinel.
    I feel like this is actually kinda ruined by him killing Ironhide. It’s a great twist, but when you go as far as to kill off one of the most likeable Autobots, someone we’ve known since 2007, it’s very hard for the audience to see the nuance in Sentinel’s character. Because of this most people just see him as “you killed Ironhide” instead probably the best villain in the transformers movies.

    TF3 was a great movie and Should've been the last TF movie until bumblebee. And if you like bumblebee just because it was g1, DOTM was the most g1 like movie compare to the others (having a lot of autobots, megatron with soundwave, shockwave, starscream, and prime with a trailer, as well as having mirage and wheeljack) Bumblebee was good but the first trilogy is better. • @SwiftNimblefoot
      @SwiftNimblefoot Před 3 lety +16

      I disagree, it was the worse. Bloated, stupid, with a convoluted plot and Sam was utterly unlikeable. The 4-5th were better because we actually had characters on the Autobot and Decepticon sides for once, and we replaced Sam with Cade, who was actually likeable.

    • @LightningZetton
      @LightningZetton Před 3 lety +125

He also was the one who killed megatron with the all spark and not listen to prime's words when he says "put the cube in my chest now" and sam was really funny which makes the first trilogy good. Something that applies across all films, is the use of real/live locations being extremely important because if or when you add VFX elements, the best results are those with pieces grounded with real things. In the beginning of the movie, an episode of Star Trek is playing on a TV, and one character remarks, "Oh, this is the one where Mr. Spock goes crazy." They obviously wouldn't stick an out of place thing like that into the movie for no reason; the actor who played Mr. Spock, Leonard Nimoy, also played Sentinel Prime, who did "go crazy" later in the film.
