It's all about learning the medium! I only used Crayola colored pencils my entire time in high school. Got those prima colors, and I went from hyper realistic still life art all the way back to where I first started with art. Two completely different feeling brands for sure, and while working with Prisma colors is faster, you just can't beat the price of Crayola 😅
I'm mesmerized how artist pick colors that look really unrelevant at first.. but then they create a beautiful shiny drawing which everything is in harmony (seriously)
Exactly! Like, I've gathered some slightly pricey supplies over the last decade for Christmas here and there or if I found a cheap deal But I'm not skilled enough to make any of em look this cool yet! I don't know enough color theory yet to achieve this pretty of contrast
@@kazidna I assume it's considered genius because it makes it easier to keep track of which color goes to which marker, especially handy when colors are simular to each other. this is just me guessing though
I love how u can see every stroke. I usually hate when markers do that but something about the colors and the closeness of the eye it’s just feels right for it to be strokey and unblended
I remember getting these markers as a kid and thinking they were so fancy and nice that I didn’t even want to use them cause I was worried I’d ruin them. Looking back they kinda sucked, but I used to get really stuck on not having great materials, it’s nice to see someone creating something beautiful with cheap markers meant for kids
I mean it depends. You would have to change how you draw or style depending on the art material you would use. Most expensive ones are intended to be way easier, and have more flexibility
the white one surprisingly turns out good. almost every white marker i've ever used for outline/highlight always got blended in with the base color below them instead of being visibly whitey white
This is so good for beginners who think that they need expensive tools to draw well. But all you need is patience, practice, and knowing your tools to use them to your advantage. We need more of these. Kudos!
Gonna be honest using water based markers is such an underrated art medium even highlighters work really well and it's fun to be able to draw without having the expectations of making a van goh painting like with oils or gouache
Genuinely never processed it would be said like that in other accents, in my head it could’ve been spelt texta or texter so I expected to hear a rhotic “R” sound and I got so taken aback 💀
as an academic student i love using cheap markers or paint for exercise, right now i'm using a sketchbook for school that i bought for only 5€ ahah, it's great to practice
These videos show are just great examples of how a good artist can make use of any product to create good works of art and that u don’t always need expensive are supplies to create something wonderful. I absolutely love your artwork it brings me so much joy seeing art❤
Thank you for making this! Too many people think they need fancy supplies to be a good artist, my younger self included, so this is a great way of showing you don't need fancy shit, you can just work with what you can afford!
That drawing looks super pro, and spectacular too!
Thank you so much ☺️ I will definitely create more vids like this :)
Bro I can't find this pens

Nah bro it isn’t super pro 😒
It’s god pro✨

Crazy how such high quality art can be made with just simple kids markers!
I’m surprised too 🥰
Well it’s because regardless of quality of materials, if an artist makes quality art, it’s gonna be high quality.

From what I know, it's also dependent on the type of paper. Either way great art

Not really. His drawing is good but you can still tell the marker quality is terrible
the numbering thing is so genius and yet so simple why didn’t I think of it earlier 💀
Genuine question, why is it genius?

As an artist, I have HUGE respect for other artists that can actually work and create amazing pieces of art with markers.
I remember getting these markers as a kid and thinking they were so fancy and nice that I didn’t even want to use them cause I was worried I’d ruin them. Thanks for your comment. the set I had was a few years old as well. I’m glad to say that they
still working and not dried.
That's literally my brother and I too! We're (mostly me) are still learning to move on from preserving stuff for "a better time" 🥹
I really love general's reaction, just full of pure enjoyment of the game and doesn't criticise any team, you deserve my respect 🔥🗣️
I smell an underrated artist
It's really inspiring how you prove that to make art your supplies don't have to be expensive
I mean it depends. You would have to change how you draw or style depending on the art material you would use. Most expensive ones are intended to be way easier, and have more flexibility
Those Måla markers are so dope. I have thousands of dollars worth of expensive art stuff and I just adore those little water bases IKEA markers.
See stuff like this shows that you don't need expensive stuff to make a master piece. It looks amazing
Most subtle way of saying, ”budget isn’t the problem, you are”
'An Artist never blamed his tools'
Said by a wise artist
Ngl the markers are better than any other marker set!
Yes I think IKEA did a good job
On a budget maybe
@@439801RSI mean for 3.99 that IS GOOD. And with the work of this artist!?😩

Seeing all the swatches organized like that did something relaxing for my brain, and now I'm going to do this with my art supplies 😂
This bro taught me that we can make everything beautiful with cheap or expensive color set
You are from Australia? And your all drawings are looks like a masterpiece because it is created by a pro
Thanks 🙏 and yes I live in Sydney.
Same!!! I also live in Sydney! Also I call them ‘textas’ as well 😂
Texta was a brand name and the only ones available back before cheap versions were imported. I don’t remember seeing them until about 1970
im in Tasmania, does anyone know where Tazzie is
Do you voice all the videos or who voices them? Or do you just make the art ?
He proved that art is not about material. It's all about artist's talent.
This is a really good video for showing beginner artists that you don't need good supplies to make good art

Hi! 'Måla' is the Swedish name and roughly translates to "paint"
So names like "paint-a" or I guess "texta" wouldn't be too far off 😂
And here is proof that cheap materials can be really pro too its absolutely amazing
It's super smart to add your own numbers and create a color swatch sheat
This just proves that all you need for art are literally any supplies you can find, passion, and the effort to practice the skill
It’s gorgeous, and we love IKEA
This proves that you don't need expensive art supplies to make amazing and professional art

Being good at art you can make cheap stuff look amazing.
In Australia, we only call the kid ones that have the little interlocking bits textas. Some people call felt-tip markers textas, but they’re wrong
YESS, but also the manky Texta brand felt-tips are also Textas but no-one really ever had them
That looks so cool! Very detailed 👍
