Gunnebo make, or maybe re-brand, some interesting locks if you can find them. Fun little lever lock this one 🗝️

The lock is for a safe drawer inside the safe. The funny shaped lever is the "Monitor" lever which prevents the key from being removed if the bolt is only half thrown which would happen if the key is heavily worn down from use. This would indicate that the lock needs a new key and prevents the key from being removed when the bolt is thrown but the lock can still be unlocked without the key by using a wire etc... Essentially it's there to make sure that the lock is locked before the key can be removed and also prevents a lockout from a very worn key. Chubb used them in their late detector locks in the 50's.

Nice job. Always fun to see a lever lock picked especially here in the U.S. where we don't see many of them.

Lever locks are so cool. They are always what I imagine some DnD rogue picking.

Not a bad little lever lock. Lever #4 is a 'monitor lever'. Nice liftfing Ash and thanks for sharing mate.

Nice little lock. I wonder if you could file false gates in the levers to make it more tricky to pick. That would make a neat travel practice lock

Thank you!! I had no idea before how to try to pick a lever. I doubt that I'd be able, but I'll acquire one and tools and try.

What a very cool little SIX lever lock. So surprised they managed to squeeze in there 6 levers.
Like Gaz days, it looks like a monitor lever.
Awesome video as always Lock Noob 🙂👍

Very interesting. I've never seen that extra bit either. Now I'm very curious to find out what it's for

Have you mention that multipick picks are little magnetic? I have not seen single person talking about it nor I found some place writing about it and I'm wondering why?? Handles of those picks stick together on table ... But what I'm thinking is if this magnetism transfer into the lock possibly ... ?

Nice to see a monitor on something other than a Chubb.

This type of lock, in the US because of the obscurity, would be so much safer then many other locks.

Could be a bit of a counter weight to reduce strain on the key. That's a fairly long thin bit.
