you could def score it 10-7..but it was more of a 10-7.5 for me..and I ended up scoring it a 10-8 considering Frankie just pieced him up for 5 min the next round..BUT u can’t give him a 10-8. It was like a 10-8.5

Lesnar vs Carwin, Kongo vs Barry, and this fight all could've been stopped with the wrong winner but they let them fight. I understand that fighters also took a lot of unnecessary damage but it also made the winner more definitive, there was no dispute when you got stopped in the old UFC because mf's were definitely finished if they stopped it back then.
With the judging today, even with Yves Lavigne, this bout woulda been stopped in the first. 'Old school' UFC had some gangsters, but this stuff accrues and was why Frankie's chin sucked at the end of his career.

Love Edgar he's got grit and a ton of heart. But if this fight happened in 2024, Marc Goddard would've stopped that fight in the 1st round.
