She does. Unless the people owning the monkey can spend 24 hours with it, or unless it has a friend, they are desperately sad and lonely. These are social group animals and don;t do well isolation. Also, putting it in a cage is like putting a 2 year old in a cage. Maybe for nap time but otherwise, except for rare occasions, it is cruel.

Interesting how the differences in their builds perfectly suit their lifestyles. Capuchins spend more time on the ground whereas Spiders rarely leave the tree canopy in the wild.

Full grown spider monkeys are mean and aggressive. She's still a baby. They are also crazy strong and can rip your face off. I learned about this in Costa Rica. Locals adopt abandoned baby spider monkeys because they are sweet. Once they are full grown they turn them into the rescue center because there is no way they can keep the monkey as a pet. I heard a lady had her mouth ripped open because she stood too close to the cage and a monkey hooked the corner of her mouth. It's no joke
That is cute I think Spanky acts shy of the camera when her little boyfriend visits her.. LOL she hides her little face.. and Boo is so sweet and kind to everyone.. fun loving enjoys his life and really seems to CARE about others these amazing animals help me so much you have no Idea...
