Getting a pet monkey is a lifelong commitment and most of them end up in monkey sanctuaries like the one in this video. Luckily there are places out there that are willing to care for these little monkeys! Pete and MonkeyBoo go over some of the most common misconceptions about primate ownership and how you can come visit these capuchin monkeys and many other exotic animals at the C.A.R.E. Foundation!

To have teeth pulled is so cruel and sad 😢 I always loved Monkeys but realise it is a big responsibility. Glad I found Boo's and Meela's channels. There use to be a man in Roanoke VA that had pet store and he had 2 like Boo and Meela they were not for sale he kept them at the shop and I use to drive there to take my son to see them alot. We always enjoyed visiting them.

I’m glad you brought this to light. Not many can devote the time and commitment to care for a monkey. You are one of the very few who has devoted your life to care for your monkey family.

I'm glad the monkey's are somewhere they are being taking care of. They should of known better when they couldn't care for the fist sweet baby not to get another one but there are some people out there who aren't to bright. I'm gldd Boo Happy&Meela have a great home

I have to question that it is sad to see monkeys in a sanctuary. I know the monkeys had probably formed attachments to their previous owners, whether or not they were well cared for by them, and initially would have missed them, but in time the people will fade from the monkeys' minds. I think all monkeys are happier with other monkeys. (I know Pete doesn't think so.)

Love this video, it is VERY important to show this reality of abandoned monkeys due to the amount of dedication these animals need. Especially after watching Boo, Happy and Meela and how easy Pete makes it look!
That one Dolly is so animated she is so cute. The poor Boo in cage being left there. It is great that there is a place to help all the animals. Plus the pet pig for a monkey is so funny. Boo is like ok daddy I am glad I have you & my home.

She is a blessing for saving those babies. I grew up with some cool pets as a kid , one of them being a monkey. I remember how much work it was for my parents. I would love to have another one but it would actually be a marmoset.

We visited this sanctuary with our martial arts students last summer. These folks are So dedicated. Truly a labor of love.
The is the first time watching a video on capuchin monkeys. I never realized how incredibly adorable they are. The smile on Rosy"s face completely put me in the most awesome mood. I am so glad there are people out there taking care of these monkey's that would no longer survive in the wild. I would love, love , love to volunteer at a place like this.
I love the PSA he is giving! It breaks my heart to know that they buy them as babies and then abandon them later. Can you even imagine what they must feel? So sad.
Videos like this are worth their weight in gold. Thank you so much for educating people! I watch the Boo Crew videos and I think of how cool it would be to own such a beautiful and interesting pet. But, I know that I have a 9-5 job and I would never be able to invest the time and attention that these guys require. This is what is good about your channel. You explain the serious responsibility it takes to raise and care for a monkey. It is sad someone would remove that poor monkey's teeth.😢 it actually makes me mad that someone would do that. Monkey's will bite. It's in their nature. Thank you for showing this. Please spread the word and reach out to those who seek a monkey but not know what they are getting into. Everyone should realise that even monkeys grow up and they are just as much fun as a adult as they are as babies but still are a huge responsibility. They will always be curious and into "monkey buiesness". I feel bad for those poor things but I know they are in good loving hands now. I want to especially thank those at the sanctuary. I'd love to work or even volanteer at a sanctuary. I love monkeys and all animals but I want the best for them. With me I care for them before I care for myself. They come first.

I love that these wonderful people are educating the world on not adopting exotic pets. I wanted a monkey my whole life. But they live so long and it is a life time commitment. I enjoy Monkey Boo so much. Pete shares his life with us. They have dedicated their life to these wonderful animals. It’s the next best thing to having one. Please be kind with you comments. Sadly that’s the exact same way with dogs and other pets
But for parrots it’s the worst people try to kill them cuz they forget that their wild animals 80%of parrots are rehomed every 2 years
From what I've heard, if people have a pet monkey they have to build their lives around it: no more holidays, need for someone to look after it when you're at work, nappy changing, problems if the monkey doesn't like people close to you, finding a vet who'll treat exotic animals, keeping the house warm, worries about the law regarding monkeys changing.
I have a hard time watching these types of videos. It makes me so angry that these animals are there. It is a wonderful place don't get me wrong. What I mean is that these animals should of never been pets.
I can only imagine how the monkeys feel after being given up to sanctuary. Breaks my heart. Irresponsible idiot people.

Kelly, I totally understand your feelings. I feel the same way. But I also understand that some of the animals that were meant to be wild from birth, can't be, because stupid humans intervened at some point along the way. In those situations, I totally support the loving care that happen when they are unfortunately put in these scenarios.

Being able to relate, care for and communicate with animals, is a divine gift from God.
I feel like boo is the buddha in this scenario seeing suffering of creatures like him (i know they are well taken care of). His face is very meditative during this.

As much as I wanted a pet monkey, after about a year of research I had to admit I would probably not be up to all this entails either time or expense-wise. These little cuties are so intelligent that they require a great deal of attention or they suffer and that's just not right. You do a great job with Boo and crew. I hope others will benefit from this series!
