Granted that was a bad example ,but this is something every Bricky needs in the van . If you have to cut the joints out it doesn't need repointing . But on a proper repointing where the joints have given up and are falling out , this has it's place .
Thank you Eddie for understanding that if your repointing its not rock hard new stuff, its old worn out failed lime or cement that's failed for the reason it needs replacing, Wish all was as intelligent as you Eddie.
