So stoked to have the chance to work with you my friend! Thanks for letting me be apart of the adventure, I legitimately learned a ton from the experiment!
devinsupertramp great it was awesome to see your drone. 😎
devinsupertramp your work is also super impressive man
devinsupertramp Hi there.
You forgot on miniquads !!!!!!!!!!
Apike polll lah
You got the type of voice that you could tell someone they're about to die, and they'd still be perfectly calm and peaceful.
Just John exactly what i want to say😎
go back to his first few videos. his voice changed...
Just John Well.. he is hitman.. he probably has practice..
Check out one of LockPickingLawyer's videos. His voice is very similar and personally I think I enjoy his voice more. Very calming indeed.
The most relaxed and calm voice on this Earth.
le55ons
True
Now we can safely say that "The Hitman" doesnt use consumer drones to spy enemies because its loud....🙄
he really does look like HITMAN :)
You'll know if he's spying because if a rotor fails, the drone will drop onto the enemies' head. Such is the demise of 4-rotor drones.
Ha, people think that professional drones are quiet, not so much.
You can see license plates 30km away with some drones (very expensive) but 0 noise
When you see variable pitch fenestrated props on drones- you'll have something quiet enough to be sneaky. This tech is required on the tails of helicopters like the H135 that do inner city flying in cities like Las Vegas. When you hear a helicopter, you are usually hearing the tail rotor. This is partly because of the axis plane and partly because of the blade shape. Fenestrated tail rotors are enclosed in a housing that interrupts the axis plane of the blades.
briansmobile1 woah! We need you there next time!
Yeah agreed ! Man but Zag is Zag 😋
You doing any skiing or boarding this winter?
+briansmobile1 got a pass to canyons/ park city.
Are you a wizard?
Found your channel the other day and have binge watched so many of them! Great channel. You helped me in deciding what phone to buy. Looked at different phone tests on CZcams and settled with the Google Pixel 2 Xl. Keep up the good, no, great work!
The best voice on youtube
I´m appreciating the work behind this video and the test of the drone loudness. And I´m wishing the Winner of the give away drone much luck and fun with it :)
I've been watching both yours and Devins videos for awhile now, great seeing you guys collab on a video :)
Man you have a lot of variety in your videos
learn alot from this video.. thanks again jerry
I just now watched "SURPRISE BOX FROM GOOGLE!!" and LOL'd because of your cameos on there. I had just been watching one of your videos prior to that, too. XD
teardown of these drones !!!😂😂😂😂
haha
Bend test.
That huge drone is awesome 😍
Oh my God, BEST THINGS FROM THE BEST TESTER! THANK YOU!
ExoticXoZa you weren’t even close to finishing the video when you posted this comment...
I saw half XD but I needed this
Thank you to share those comparison 🤗
Thank you Devin for letting us check out your drones, and thank you Zack for the Giveaway
I was thinking of creating one for my final year engineering project. This gave me a good idea.
Really great info,! Many thanks for sharing!
Another great vid Jerry .
I really love you videos of teardown @JerryRigEverything
Outstanding channel! I'm new to your channel and I have to say that its one of the better channels on CZcams. Very informative and provides a lot of context. Good job! Oh and I hope I'm not too late to enter for the DJI Spark giveaway.
Hi Jerry I am your big fan from India also seeing your videos thanks for all them love you from India
Do a teardown of the dji spark and explain the gimbal functionality
Very very very good the best video I have ever seen on CZcams your channel is the best. BEST LUCK for future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁
Superb vedio..
Amazing drones
Agha Muzammil gu
I read Blade Vortex and was all excited that you were doing a real race drone finally guess I should have looked closer lol still a cool video.
your vids are so cool!
thanks a lot!
LOVE ur vids and the whole DIY thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have best videos in the WORLD. My favourite is durability test of Iphoneest. BEST VIDEOS EVER
Nailed it bro
Love your videos!
Jerry drone everything
hy. i really find your videos informative. thanks for making them
I've been looking at the spark since it came out. Looks like a sweet little drone to play around with for someone who isn't too serious about the hobby.
I think if all I had to watch was Jerryrigeverything and Dave2D videos, I'd be all set lol.
Thanks for this video, I have the a phantom 3 and was thinking about getting a spark because I thought it would be quieter.
It's interesting to see innovative technology
Superb video
Amazing video
Thanks zack for making this video! I have been waiting for a long time..
NOTIFICATION SQUAD!!!!🙋♂️🙋♂️
My dad was like, decorate the Christmas tree, and I was like, I gotta watch my homie first
Brilliant video. They are winglets, for induced drag.
Great test man.
This was a great video
The most soothing voice on Earth...
lol
No one asked for your opinions
I loved it sir
yay another collaboration! :)
thanks for this. on the dji forums we were asking for quieter blades how the platinum blades are. some argued the mavic was louder than the spark.....
Haven't watched the whole video yet but another great video it seems!!
Would love to hang with these mormon tech guys. Saludos desde Argentina!
amazing video well done i wish i had a drone
I think the loudness of a drone has to to with the RPM as well. For example, the Spark has the smallest propeller so the RPM needs to be very high for the drone to take off. The Mavic is Quieter than the Spark maybe is because the Mavic doesn’t need the RPM as high to take off. The better way to measure this would hold on the drone while input the maximum power.
I have watched almost most off your video👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love them👌👌👌👌👌
💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
Good job !
Hey jerry you did awesome
Another factor of the sound is the frequency that the blade make. Because the smaller the object, the higher the frequency of the blade (there is a turning point)
Exactly. And larger blades provided they don't have much more weight to carry means lower Rpm and lower sound.
Happy holiday!
Your all videos are incredible, I turned on notification, so I can see all videos, and it will be very nice to win.
Great video 😍😍
I love your vids and could you review ZTE Blade v7
OMG
Computer Engineering student here. The decibal scale is logarithmic, to be specific it is 20log(n), where n is the frequency in radians. It basically represents exponential increases in frequency linearly. Most likely so that you don't have to turn the knob on your reciever for 3 hours to change the volume a decent amount.
I don't know all the details about it (pitch and volume are two different things, so do they each have a value on both scales?), but that's the gist
Maybe you've mentioned this at the end of the video but I haven't seen it yet but the DJI Platinum also changes the motor controller chip. And I believe there's a slight change to the motors themselves.
Awesome Dude!
Wow. Drones are cool .
Education level in this video is insane
Misinformation*
Thanks so much for the giveaway!
love ur vids
The platinum has something called a "Raked Wingtip" Something the Boeing company introduced on the 767-400ER. However the best example of the comparison can be found on the Boeing 777-200ER. Boeing added the same shaped wingtips and that made the Boeing 777-200LR. The tech behind it on the planes was to cut the vortex generated by the wings decreasing drag.
Identical collection to mine.. accept I'm missing the Platinum and the Inspire 2.... one day.
*ONE DAY MY MYSELF IS GOING TO ARRIVE IN THE UNITED STATES WITH NUCLEAR GOATS*
Honestly saying i never thought of flying any drone, but i don't know why whenever u drop a video n i get a notification..... Rest i think u can understand. 🙃
Nice video!
I’m curious if DJI will release next year even smaller and cheaper model than Spark 🤔😁
me 2 only the problem then will be that the wind will push the drone and camera quality will be less if its smaller
Chummy Plays Hopefully they have some engineers which could solve this problem 😀👍🏼
They'd be missing a big market if they don't make a smaller version. Currently, micro 2inch quads are gaining popularity, so it'd be interesting to see DJI try to jump into that market.
Btw, I believe they're making a similar sized, or smaller drone, but it's for fpv racing, not photography.
Nope...it's bigger and more expensive :D
They already have, its called the tello.
I don't know why people want to get rid of echoes in video audio, the audio in this sounds great.
This is going to be interesting
Usually with shorter propellers you need to move them faster than bigger ones to create the same amount of force which in turn makes more sound. it also depends on the shape of the propeller. Weight and size of the drone also affects noise being made as wel.
It's like Christmas when Zack releases another video
LOL not expected this collab :D
Cool drones
I was excited at the beginning and I was excited at the end.......
Nice Video
I can tell that optical image stabilizing is kicking in with your camera that your using and how many megapixels is your camera
Jerry and this guy are a very interesting contrast. Jerry is not loud or overly talkitive, doesnt boast and is generally more likable than devin.
Also you have to count revs in each drone, given that with a smaller prop it spins much faster than with a big one, for example a 5" prop can go 35000 rpm (full throttle) but a 10" can go like 4000 rpm (full throttle)
Nice explanation but not even race drones have 35k rpm :D
Hi Jerry, great Job!
I followed the 5 steps required for your Pixel 2 give away, i hope i win, cheers
Great drone education.
Is the giveaway international or do we have to pay shipping
the reason for the spark being loud is that the blades are spinning faster and from experience with mini quads the bigger the prop the quieter it is and also having more blades on the prop makes the prop quieter
devin is like guarding these drones from teardown 😁
woop woop ! GO NZ!
I'm curious if you could stick the Platinum props on the Mavic
i wish i could be the one to win this
and you JERRY you are awesome
Would love to see you take a phantom apart 😁
i was waiting for the drone
+3dB is double the power, but for sound (dBA) that's a simplification because of how our ears work.
Our ears have a curve that looks a bit like exponential as well, resulting +3dB sounds about 25% louder. :)
Jerry keep up the interesting videos. Liking the wide variety? 😀
Prop noise also has to do with blade rpm and design , the more a blade "cuts" the air the more the sound will lead towards the high pitched "swish" that you hear in sword fighting videos. But that presents an issue in flight performance as the blade has less lift than one that had a different angle of attack on the air , basically the more lift a blade creates the more sound it's going to make due to the air it moves and the turbulence it will inevitably create. Ideally for silent flight you want beefy high lift blades that spin at very low rpm ,but those aren't efficient at all. So that's why the army went with very fast spinning blades that have a variable pitch ( angle of attack ) so that when the helicopter is up in the air they can modify the pitch to reduce sound , so whilst it would hover somewhere either laying in wait for a target or just preparing for an attack they can modify it's pitch to allow for jus the right amount of lift and minimal noise. It's like hitting the surface of a lake with a paddle flat on or cross. They're going to make different sounds and the cross one whilst not completely silent it will be quieter and the sound will travel less.
The reason that spark scored around 94 db was u were standing near the obstacle avoidance of the spark and the drone was making a beeping noise which added up with the blade sound to get a 94 db sound.
