    Buy the boards and invest in a 3D printer to print out your own holders. You'll be able to print what you need when you want and it will have so many other uses.

      After listening to this I'm looking to laser cut the boards and 3D print the holders. All of the organization and 1/100th the cost.

      Like with the socket holders, you need half legs or offsets. I like the tool grid but yah getting everything a little tighter would be awesome. 3d print would be a great idea

    That’s insane amount of tool grid, those top 3 drawers were money. I would want the t handles up closer to the top but they would probably need to laid flat or put in the top drawer. The sonic top drawer is the nicest Milwaukee setup I’ve ever seen. The foam tray is better than tool grid for most tools with just the right amount of tool grid for the extra bits. You should of calculated how much you would charge for the hours of organizing.

    Honestly, i'm really excited for the curated foam inlays. I'm such a fan of the Sonic foam.

    • @cottagemail4066
      @cottagemail4066 Před 4 měsíci

      One advantage to the Toolgrid system compared to foam is you're not locked in. Buy another tool and you have the advantage of moving stuff around still.

    I hate being that guy but $2300 of injection molded plastic tool holders.. what are people smoking😅 I rather buy the many magnetic options that are available now that are much more compact like the alien wrench holder that maximize space and organization. And you don’t have to spend thousands of hours putting it together.

      @user-fg2zg5ww4o Před 10 měsíci +1

      Those Ernst Socket Boss organizers he replaced are $20/ea. You would be 106 before you ever saw a return on investment getting this grid system, especially when you consider you will need another toolbox because they make the tools take up too much space. I'm a hobbiest with a Snap On box that wide, but with a top, and I can't fit all my tools in it with Ernst organizers packed pretty tight. I would need a whole other rollcab using these and then I would have to get rid of a workbench to have a place to put that.

      @willb3018 Před 4 měsíci

      That stuff looks great. But, I am obsessed too. With saving money. Except for all my sockets for which I have racks (non magnetic), no need for organization expenditures. Wrenches and screw drivers look fine laying flat in the thinest drawers. I feel like I am about 80% organized as it is. Just not fancy stuff. I am not a pro so maybe that is why I can live the simple life.

    • @hby7768

      Come on, that is a Snap-On loaded chest and youre here talking about amazon budget options? This is obviously for people with the means. You are watching the wrong channel. Budget stuff is not obsessed garage. You are also not paying for just injected moldings, you re paying for the design and the thought used to create the brand that can be useful for (again) people with the means. That is why Snap-On exist and Harbor Freight exist, too completely different type of buyers and spending habits.
