Years ago i used bar muffs every winter. Brilliant for warm hands, look bloody awful and at higher speeds they can apply brake/clutch. For legal speeds the modern versions would probably do the job for you and they are quick and easy to attach/take off.

Can't help on hand guards or heated grips as it don't get cold enough here. I have PR4's and can't wait to try the new Road 5's. Lets hope the back brake is fixed as I use mine more than the front.

So do I. It seems ok at the moment. Think I'll look into the Road 5's next time Cheers Nev.

Just bought a set of PR3s for the 94 ZZR600 I picked up in December, I was hoping they'd be ok, sounds like they will be. I get the same issue with cold hands, even when not on the bike, heated grips coming soon.

Hope the tyres work out for you. The heated grips make a massive difference for me. Good to hear from you. Thanks for the comment. Ride safe.

If it helps..... when I had my Bandit I looked into the subject of getting/fitting handguards. The Vstrom 1000 2014 up to 2017 model handguards went on the Bandit really well. There is a vid on you tube showing a bandit owner who fitted them and they looked pretty good. I'll try and find it for you and once I do I'll post the link on this thread. I definitely would have gone down that route had i have kept my bandit however I sold her last year and ended up with an adventure bike which has them already fitted.... I love em. Found a couple of vids for ya.... czcams.com/video/mfXqJPWM9WA/video.html and czcams.com/video/325Xto0asuI/video.html (Should point you in the right direction mate.)

That's Great Mark. Thanks for the comment and the links, I'll have a look. Good to hear from you again. Hope your well? Sorry to hear you've sold your bandit! What did you replace it with?

The Scouse Bandit... I loved the Bandit and what a superb all rounder she is. I found that there was slightly more emphasis on the sport leg position than the touring as a sports tourer and that played a key factor in my decision to let her go. I plumped for a Versys 1000 which is uber comfortable yet has similar engine characteristics to the bandit. I do love inline fours.... great engines and super smooth.

Must admit I've been tempted by similar adventure bikes. I like the look of the v-strom 1000. However I'll be keeping the bandit for another couple of years yet!

Don't blame you.. I'd have another in a heartbeat. (Just cos I'd like 2 bikes lol - one day maybe.) They're super easy to look after and lovely bikes to own.
