Great reaction as usual lads. Ningen Isu is my favorite band, and I'm so glad that you reacted to Namahage. This song is a good example of their doom metal side of things, but these guys are inspired by many groups including The Beatles, so you have barely scratched the surface of what this 3 piece can do. "The Caterpillar" is a legendary track, unfortunately no music video, but it's a melting pot song of style and skill that any guitarist should hear at least once.
Other amazing songs (my favorites) are Screw Attack and Submerged City, you will need to probably look in wikipedia to find the Japanese version of those song names because they probably won't be on CZcams in English. Please please please make more Ningen Isu videos, I'd love to enjoy your journey through this band as much as I enjoyed your journey with Maximum the Hormone. I have a public Ningen Isu playlist with many of the best songs so if you are feeling lazy feel free to use it to find them. Much love

I found Ningen Isu on 9gag of all places....played the clip once (it was heartless scat) and for some reason it grabbed me. I dove head first into their library and I figured why I dig them so much. It reminds me of what me and my mum call "my dad's old junkie music". Dont get me wrong some songs are meh some are awesome overall its all very good. One last thing lots of solos.

I agree that heartless scat is more memorable compared to Namahage or Uchu kara no iro. However I like なまはげ and 宇宙からの色 more than Heartless Scat. However my favorite is 品川心中 AKA Lover's suicide at Shinigawa.
I like both- Namahage has more of a Sabbath sound to me.

A little fact you might want to know: their name Ningen Isu has a silent u in isu, so just say: 'Ningen Is'
The pronunciation depends on what part of Japan you’re from. Some places it’s silent. Other areas use a hard “U” sound and still others use a diminished “U” sound.

"old fashioned.....in your face raw"...you mean not buried under a bunch of training wheel bullshit, lol? These guys have a great sound. Most modern shit is overcompressed and too polished, cut and paste shit. All the toys in the world can't make up for quality songwriting. Not that new is "bad" inherently, but way too much is made about being polished, etc. And far too much is made in the studio, and computers, not the instruments... probably why so many bands kind of suck, live, these days.
