  • Opioids, sometimes called narcotics are integral in analgesia in the hospital and inpatient settings, in this video, we will discuss how to use different opioids (Fentanyl, Remifentanil, Morphine, Hydromorphone, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, and Tramadol) and their specific characteristics and the best use of each narcotic and opioid. We will discuss why fentanyl and remifentanil are best for analgesia in critical care settings and why Morphine and hydromorphone are better options on the hospital wards. And will finish by why should we avoid using Tramadol in clinical practice.

    Kudos for your excellent presentation! You covered so much information in a short, concise, easy-to-understand way. For an older guy with chronic severe pain in lumbar region, you have showed me how to put my pain-control plan together. Kudos!
