- Here's Why the Toyota Camry Hybrid is Still Relevant
The 2022 Toyota Camry has been trimmed to a sole variant here in the Philippines, with only the Toyota Camry 2.5V Hybrid left in the country. It also received a price bump, but is still within the same price as the 2022 Honda Accord. In this Filipino car review, we take a showroom tour of the 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid to see if it is still relevant in today's crossover world. The Toyota Camry has long been a boring, safe, and uninspired midsize sedan, but in recent years, it has received an aggressive design that reflects Toyota's move to make more exciting cars. The 2022 Toyota Camry goes head to head against the Mazda 6, and the Honda Accord. These are the last remaining midsize sedans in their category today. The 2022 Toyota Camry hybrid is still a strong contender for those looking for a comfortable midsize sedan that has a strong executive feel to it. \/`-

We have 2009 Camry Hybrid and still running strong & comfortable.
my dream car ever since
Hoping sedans will still survive. Not all are SUV/CUV fans
I bought two Camry Ascent Hybrid Sedans in March 2024 in Australia and the colour of both are Feverish Red. The two cars are nice but only disappointing thing is the two cars don’t have GPS or Satellite Navigation System and the wheels appear to be only 17 inches.
Just got mine last week in white pearl 😍
Congrats! Drive it in good health!
How is the fuel consumption?
@William Onoh pretty good actually. And its really good to drive.
I have a xse version, which my parents bought it from the US. Its a hand me down and I’m driving it as my first car…
Great work sir!
Thank you! 👍👍
Nice car. Please review also peugeot 3008 and 5008.
Pls review the 2022 rav4 HEV. Thanks
I would love to see this car doing long drives
Nice car. But wait? I think XLE variant ang nai feature mo. Try to find XSE variant in philippines. 🤘😊
We need better reviews like yours reygan!
unlike some unprofessional car reviewers who already got it in their head that they are too good for some people.
Thank you sir! 👍👍
What is the ground clearance?
nice car
hey reygan which color do you think suits the camry very well? i’m having a hard time choosing between white or silver both of them gives different vibes
White for me. Or black
This is the most sulit sa Toyota line up! And mura for all the features, di tinipid. By the time the battery needs a replacement, for sure mura na to kasi maglilipana na hybrid in the next 5-10 years. Nice walkthrough sir! More midsize sedan reviews. I heard Hyundai might bring in the new sonata soon.
How can u say d tinipid when camera quality scks
@@MrRGM10 so dun ka sa magandang quality na times 3 o times 5 ang presyo. para naman magddrive ka kasi gamit ang camera noh? tanga lang.
Vios and Raize Hybrid would be nice
Nice looking car, maybe I'm just an old man these days.
It really looks good, doesn't it? Maybe we are both getting old. 😆
Ang Ganda talaga ng Toyota Camry na yan, kaya yan Ang mga Taxi Dito sa United Arab Emirates...
How many trim levels toyota camry have in the Philippines?
Coz here The current Toyota Camry is available in 13 trim levels: LE, LE Hybrid, SE, SE Nightshade, SE Hybrid, SE Hybrid Nightshade, XLE, XLE Hybrid, XSE, XSE Hybrid, TRD, XLE V6, and XSE V6
Just this hybrid. 1 variant
Camry shall have a Manual Variant. Periodt.
Missing the JDM days.
You're missing the point! It's more of an executive level....so comfort is quite more of an emphasis!
1st to watch
👍
How many KPH can you go on EV Mode?
Can't really say, until TMP decides to recognize me again and lends me one for testing.
@@ReygansRides Hopefully Soon! 🤞
the toyota camry has really masculine body lines and pooks really good but damn the wheels are a huge let down. if only they made it a 20' rim and added a little more negative off set, it would have been perfect 👌🏻
Early
👍
✅👍
Tinapos ko kahit wala akong pambili
The RAV4 is getting a hybrid treatment for 2022 as well.
Hope to feature one soon. 👍
@@ReygansRides The Corolla Cross gets a GR-S treatment as well together with a 2022 Mazda MX-5 gets a KPC setup.
Damn
👍
Let’s try Geely emgrand which just .7” wider😃
Im I solely paying for the hybrid system with that 2.3m? Because at that price point, I'd expect the camry to have:
a) adaptive dampers and limited-slip differential, I mean you'll be driving this on Philippine roads. You don't buy a camry just to drive it from home to office and vice versa, you'd also use it for long trips too, and you'll never know what road conditions lie ahead.
b) Conventional automatic transmission. Look, I understand that CVTs gives much better fuel economy, but this is a hybrid anyways. There's nothing "sporty" about CVT. They should learn from Mazda and leave cvt to their much more economy cars line up. Plus, give it a sequential manual shift via paddle shifters (which doesn't make sense in a cvt).
Well first of all, you’re demanding too much. Even the 5 series and the E don’t have those as stock. If you option out an E class with those self leveling adaptive suspension, it’s a 500k option. Finally, don’t teach Toyota how they should incorporate a CVT into this car. They are a pioneer in hybrid cars and they know what they’re doing. You can’t have ride comfort and sportiness at the same time without spending too much.
tesla has direct internet buying. and a much better car. this gentleman will need another job soon.
For the record, I don't sell cars. I just like to review/feature them.
