    CONTEXT:
On the morning of January 29, 2022, John O'Keefe's body was found on a snow plow in front of the home of fellow police officer Brian Albert. The night before, he had gone to a bar with his girlfriend, Karen Read, as well as some friends and acquaintances, including Brian. Not long after, Karen was charged with John's murder, but her defense alleges that she is being framed by the group of people who met up at Brian's home after the bar closed. Trial begins Tuesday, April 16, 2024 with jury selection.

Not the day before! Sooooo shady. So I was a psych major so into crime dramas and real life stuff, especially around the psychology of interrogations ect. A lot of times people that should no better, when they are guilty, will do things that to them make sense, but are soooo obvious to everyone else. I think this is one of those times. Like you are a cop, you shouldn't even need a court order to know to keep potential evidence in a homicide investigation.
If I was the defense attorney, my first follow up question to him saying he thinks it was around the 22nd, he's not sure. I would say, oh so it could be the 21st correct. He would obviously say yes, then I would say, or it could have been the 24th correct?

@@johnhenderson7611 You should really look into. It gives a real insight into the prosecutor. It gives a real insight into the "mistakes" in this case.
To sum it up. 5 police officers in the neighboring town groomed and molested Sandra Birchmore since she was 13. At 23 while pregnant with one of those officer's baby she threatened to go public.
So the officer covered himself up and went into her apartment. After he snuck out Sandra Birchmore was later found dead. That cop later denied even being there.
The case went to all the same people in the Karen Read case. The MSP detective who just couldn't find Jen McCabe's deleted calls, texts, and searches. Well he also just couldn't find 30,000 texts going back to when Sandra Birchmore was 13.
In both cases to protect criminal cops they made a lot of same evidence "mistakes". So many familiar names were involved with both cases.
The very same DA's office. Including Adam Lally. Decided to charge no one with anything.
In the end the cops who groomed and molested her only lost their jobs.
People don't understand. The prosecutor is an absolute scumbag. Who will happily frame an innocent woman or protect cops who molested a child. He's not making mistakes. He's doing this on purpose.

Hard to judge anything when there is no evidence so far. All we know is there was a dead body in the lawn. Aside from that and the lawyers finger pointing there has been no evidence presented that anyone was murdered. Heck, for all the evidence we’ve been shown he could have tripped and bumped his head on the curb, stumbled a few steps, then collapsed and never gotten up. All we’ve heard is he had a bruised face and scratched arm, we haven’t seen any photos or autopsy report. I think the dog attack is a stretch, there’s no report of bite or puncture marks, but that one lady did say the ground was slippery.

Brian Albert's testimony reeks of shadiness, the guy dragged on for so long trying to be a rules lawyer just to try and get out of admitting he said something he previously said glad the defense's pulling no punches. We're also suppose to believe he butt dialed the lead investigator conveniently the same night after having an intimate moment with his wife and definitely didn't speak to them. It just makes him and his wife seem like liars hiding something, with the way they're acting I'd find it more likely the dog mauled the victim to death and the cops are doing coverup then Karen reed hitting him with a car.

Is it just me, or do the prosecution’s objections seem kind of like they’re throwing mud at the wall and hoping it sticks? My knowledge of this is more or less limited to what I learned on my high school mock trial team, and I understand real lawyers may not need to specify what kind of objection it is each time (eg. hearsay, leading on direct, speculation), but I’m not following what the grounds for a lot of these are. And how would the defense know what to alter or rephrase if they don’t know what’s being objected to?

John O'Keefe deserves the best of the best investigation for his death. He was a police officer and one of their own. Hopefully this doesn't end when KR is found innocent. Also I do hope that the O'keefe family/friends don't give up on finding the real murderer.
    IMOO and speculation:
I think the reason O'keefe's ph was shown as being in the house is someone picked up his ph and had it in his pocket, either BA or BH.
As Colin was leaving, JO was arriving, Colin and JO had an ongoing animosity due to Colin littering his lawn BUT I think it's mostly that Colin was hitting on JO's niece and he didn't like that. At the same time BA let the dog out. A fight happened between JO and Colin, the dog jumped JO and JO fell and hit his head on the fire hydrant. BO and BH heard the commotion and went on the lawn and saw what happend (that's when Nicole didn't see them), they carried JO to the basement from the outer door so the kids wouldn't see them, that's when his ph fell off and someone picked it up. Everyone is now panicked as they couldn't take him to the hospital. JO was in the basement bleeding out while they were figuring out what to do. Jen came up with the idea of "the accident" and so they decided to put him back there by the fire hydrant and covered him with a puffy jacket, hoping the snow plow guy or someone else would find him and call the ambulance. I don't think at that time, they were planning to frame Karen.
It was only when Karen came back looking for him that the idea came to Jen, as Karen had a cracked tail light. I think Jen was jealous of Karen. After that idea took root, the lies and cover up started. Only the cops who have always covered for the Alberts were involved in the investigation. They thought that Karen would back down, after they tried to browbeat her into confessing to a crime. They threatened her with showing her their power and how easy it was for them to arrest her etc.
What they didn't count on, is that Karen was not going to back down and started to fight back and here we are today.
    Karen(david) fighting the Alberts+LE+judge+prosecution(goliath)!

It was mentioned, within hours of Officer Okeefs passing, that the CW had ring video of the crime. ???? Is it possible that they do in fact have this? If they did have the video do they have to clare that pre-trial? Can they sandbag the defence??? On the flip side. If they did indeed receive ring video and it clearly exonerates KR......?????? The question was definitely not confusing or misleading at all.

  • @emoreland
    @emoreland Před 29 dny +3

I've followed a lot of true crime stories, but never have I ever seen a trial with so many inconsistencies with people changing their stories, erasing cell phone data when told not to, people saying they can't remember key points that happened. I can understand a little bit of inconsistency, but this has been consistently inconsistent. And the witness who said that she rarely talks to this other witness involved yet cell phone records show that she spoke on the phone with this person some 67 times within a 4-5 month period. This is like a sh*t show. I haven't heard anything to even suggest Karen actually killed John other than when she said "I killed him?"
Also, when I listen to trials, I visualize in my head how things happen as if it were a movie. They are saying that Karen back into him as John was heading into the house, but how do you back into someone who is walking in front of the car to get into the house? This statement makes me think that his body was found in the driveway. Then I'm hearing that perhaps a snowplow ran into him, which makes me think that his body must have been found at the side of the road, but on the property. Then I hear them saying that the body was found lying just outside the owner's house, which makes me think that the body was found in the yard. Now they are saying perhaps the body was taken out through the bulk head of the basement, but it had to have been more than one person. They didn't mention drag marks. I know that the snow got disturbed while first responders were trying to revive him, but they must have seen some prints, tire marks or drag marks, but all they see is a wine glass that he had with him and a piece of red tail light from Karen's car. This trial is a circus!! They keep asking each witness if they saw a body, but why would they see a body if they weren't looking for it and wasn't it dark and snowing out? I wouldn't expect anyone to see a body unless they just happened to look that way like the one lady claims. (Sorry, I can't remember everyone's name).
