So..... Daniel Ricciardo, a Red Bull - Renault (named Tag Heuer, but it's a Renault engine) is driving an Aston Martin, a brand that's allied with Red Bull in F1, but at the same time, the Aston has a Mercedes AMG engine, and Mercedes is the rival of Red Bull in F1. A bit crazy isn't it?
You know what, the sound isn't 'that' bad as I was expecting. Still not near as good as the old 4.7, but you guys did a great job on trying to improve the given C63 engine note up to your standards. I know you guys too wanted to make your own engine and I understand :(
There is no way Aston themselves could have made an engine as good as the AMG 4.0. Also, loud as it was, the old 4.7 was a peashooter in comparison to this engine.
I think this ad should've had more narration and more car, simply because the acting is so.... harsh! A few bits work like the more natural chatter (1:09), and the end scene banter.
Everyone comparing this to a Miata needs to chill... the scale, proportions and sculpting of this car put it in a super car category... park this car next to a Miata , do a walk around in person, then stfu.
Is it me or is the gap between hood and bumper super big compared to the one in the back? Looks in the short clip like bad finishing of the car. Don’t mean to be a hater - she is gorgeous otherwise!!!
the look, as often is the case with a new bold daring design, is growing on me the more I see the car, especially in motion the sound unfortunately still can't compare to astons of past, we know the blame there lies with politically driven but unscientific regulation, not with Aston Martin.
Why is Daniel giggling like a school boy? 1:07 I believe F1 would even be greater if you could see the faces of the drivers during the race. They wear these helmets but I bet Daniel is driving with the most evil smile I can imagine. Like a killer clown but much scarier. Bwoah haa... Muahahahaha!!!!!!

a Mercedes AMG engine in a Mercedes is Great! but on a 'MUCH" Higher than Mercedes level cars live Aston Martin..putting a Mercedes engine in a Aston in like putting a highly tuned Hyundai or Kia engine in a Mercedes AMG...Mercedes has really done great and moved a step further from the original German Big 3 rivals and almost climbing to the higher and greater Porsche level...but that V8 turbo Benz engine in a Aston really seems like an irony...well at least better a Amg engine than any other crappy engine outsource though...off with the engine..and now with the front facia...another disaster...
