As a young student during my college days i had admired the guts of CEC Seshan who single handedly would stand up to his responsibilities as CEC. I have yet to come across a person like him whom no one dared to question or go against since he worked as per the constitution.
Present EC is bias. Why check only Rahul Ghandi chopper and not of Modi, Amit Shah or any BJP (NDA) ?

The answer to every question that Kapil sir asked was that it depends on if the CEC has a spine or not to use the powers given to them in the constitution to conduct a free and fair election ....and in my opinion the current CEC does not have a spine

No discussion speaks about intimidation of top officials by Modi and Shah. They have forgotten Gujarat, Haren Pandya, judge Loya etc. etc.? Lavasa himself was intimidated and resigned from his job. The ED and CBI are acting as a private agency or the Gestapo of the government. When a beaurucrat and his family are brought under pressure he will succumb. This is hitting at the core of our democracy. Even the SBI chairman was prepared to face contempt of court and face prosecution. Why? Because he may have been worried about his job and personal safety.

Though I personally feel that EC in India is very neutral but coming to the ground realities the EC on the whole is some thing is very different and where the EC shows some sort of favour to the ruling dispensation of the day .

Truly T S Seshan was the only CEC person who had stood as a strong pillar for fair conduct of elections. Why are the bureaucrats of various departments/ministries intimidated by the politicians.

The CEC report contended that Chawla would take breaks during crucial meetings and secretly talk to functionaries of the Congress party and leak confidential details of the Election Commission.[4] Chawla is also reported to have opposed the Election Commission's notice to Sonia Gandhi for her accepting foreign honours from Belgium.[
Present Election Commissioner is not maintaining any dignity . He is the most biased .He is a public servant & getting his salary from citizen's tax & he should be answerable & loyal to citizens only .He is totally partial . Shame shame .

2. Give notice to the govt that the basic principles and requirements are not met as per democracy and hence if elections are conducted then it will be null and void.
For this the prominent lawyers and professionals form a valid committee to safeguard democracy and give legal notices. If this is manipulated we need to slecify that we will not hesitate to seek international court of justice like Africa did on isreal hamas war.

Names are allowed to add on site at the polling booth with two pieces of IDs, one of which a picture ID, in Canada!
The bureaucracy should not be involved in influencing the voting public! And no government machinery and taxpayer money should be allowed to use. There should be severe penalties to the violators.

In Manipur, recruitment processes for various government departments are going on without any disturbance from the ECI. Almost all state government departments issued recruitment notification of various posts and process is going on till this date i.e. 17/04/2024. That of election is on 19/04/2024.
When the voice of the people is not heard and thise in power are subservient to the prime minister and not to their constitutional obligations , the people should exercise their combined power .

Election commission should not shouldered its responsibilities to political parties to confirm the names in electrol rolls. Instead they should establish a full proof system to addition/deletion of the name, in addition to fixation of responsibility.
EC CEC SHOULD UNDER SUPREME COURT OF INDIA.
Safety of the voters and personnel is the cause.. despite election can be done in 2 to 3 phases and conclude in 15 days .
kapil ji Indians don't have that much interest in politics and follow such issues minutely . That's why such serious issues don't create any waves on the ground .

If ballot boxes destroyed then same can be applicable to EVM also with same logic. Use ballot paper with party symbol along with barcode to help count similar to currency notes. Only manual count need to be done if there is any doubt.
Hundred percent counting of VVPATs is the only solution to ensure the integrity of the EVM s.

That point about systems being in place - what appeal does a citizen have post facto? How many complaints will the EC take if the voting and counting and declaration has taken place and people’s complaint is only reviewed after? I don’t have a lot of hope from the incumbent EC.
