- Welcome to Bankhead, Atlanta, recognized as one of the most dangerous areas in Atlanta.
Bankhead, a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia, is known for its role in the city's rap scene and as the birthplace of trap music. The neighborhood has been home to many famous artists, including T.I., Young Dro, P$C, Dem Franchize Boyz, Shop Boyz, and D4L. Rappers like T.I. and Shawty Lo grew up in Bankhead and was a legend in the streets, and many of their songs mention the neighborhood.

Inner cities across America are no where near as lit and deep as they once was back in the 90's and 80's. Back in the 90's being outside was like being on the internet. I remember going over my grandmas house who lived in a hood area and every car going by the house was blasting music with a sub woofer. A bunch of cruising, standing outside and of course way more violence.

Vines, Sylvan hills, Cleveland -Steward Ave (use to be) Virginia Ave -College Park, East Point. Hapeville has a nice area then & now. I lived in all these area during the 80's when child serial killer Wayne Williams was at large. Us white kids called him the Pumpkin man. IDK why? Thank God we moved a hour south to the Bible belt. Thank God for all you went though in life because it makes you a stronger & better person. I went to Nursing school & ONLY look back to see how far I have come. Life owes U Nothing. U owe it to your self to work hard for it. Great Video.

I grew up here went to grove park elementary school. Back and the day me and the other lil bad ass kids used to roam all these streets building club houses. discovering the big canyon project they was building behind the creek. hittin up jr crickets. for the wings, riding down deadman hill on the bikes scooters go karts and all. so many crazy strories. I’m from a town 30 miles west of Atl. So Atlanta may as well be my hometown too. Bankhead is no longer the worst part of Atlanta. They tore all that down.
When you go to Daytona, stop in at Cj's place on 2nd Avenue, up from Bethune Cookman for some good food and info of the area.

Being from Atlanta the thing about the westside is that the main projects been gone for about 15 years now (bowen homes hollywood cts bankhead cts overlook Rachel walk etc) so they wasn’t recently tore down … gentrification making the city look better but dont think nun sweet down here & thats any side 🤷🏾♂️

Im an ATL boy from way back, know bankhead well, and ATL has worse areas. STRAIGHT UP tho, way to go for putting it on the map like this, because ol boy showed the true colors of ATL. Most of the old homes and hoods are gone, but the people still grind and come up from those same places. Props to my man for showing you somme real places and for taking you through where he could. Bluffs....wow.....million dollar mile that used to be.....Love your work Chris. And its nice to see some brothers out making the bullshit with race look like what it is, trash and fake. Poor people know poor people and rich people know rich. Back yellow red whgite and green dont matter when youre poor you show love to people that know where you are from, when you are rich, apparently, you run the risk of foregetting where you came from.
