- The trial of nine suspects accused of plotting to overthrow the German government has begun in Stuttgart. The leaders of the far-right group is a 72-year-old self-styled aristocrat and a former AfD MP who was found with a bullet proof vest and night vision goggles. So who exactly are these people? And could the AfD's likely success in the upcoming European elections pose a real threat to German democracy?

Ahhh that mythical beast the 'far right' raises it's wonderous head yet again.
We in the USA know exactly what "far right" means.
they were so far in their plot, that they had established several state level sub organisations of their military branch, where they started recruiting.
also they had acess to military equipment from the former NVA (one of the former military officers is implied to be responsible for weapons "dissapearing" in the volume of a full infantry brigade in the 90´s). its assumed that they were able to equip 500+ men with military grade equipment. (gear, AK-74, RPG-7´s, Handgrenades, Ammunition, Mines, Plastic Explosives etc)
So in Germany, one should just step forward and say I'm the boss now? Notice I avoided the use of the word fuhrer
