For scene in 3:45, the references I know are:
1. Sanji's first wanted poster (one piece)
2. 'Consume Plums' poster a reference to the movie 'They Live' (Very old movie btw)
3. Rapunzel's hair and bedsheets rope
4. Spiderman's suit in a trashcan
5. Crash test dummy is maybe a reference to Beam NG (i'm not sure though)
There is disney castle also
"Hey, you seen my gun?" from Borderlands
There is a Rorschach ink blot picture on the wall too.
Plus in the cardboard box there's an orange with a clock winder in it.
A clockwork orange
I thought the crash dummy was a reference to Turbo Dismount
In Ghost of Tsushima, there's also a Bloodborne reference at one of the shrines! You can get the Yharnam set from the Blood-stained shrine. The set references the Crowhunter's Garb, and a flute rendition of Gehrman's theme plays.
Theres also a shadow of the colossus shrine as well
And one for Horizon Zero Dawn
man ghost of tsushima is so good
@@forestgreene8687 its still cool
@@forestgreene8687 its still cool
Congrats on the sponsor! Glad you're being recognized by big brands now, you deserve it!
Yeah working with Xbox is awesome, PlayStation next 👀
@@CaptainEggcellent I think the Easter egg is the light bc In the third film Harry and Snape are shining their light and the people in the painting tell them to turn off kind of similar
@@CaptainEggcellent psvr? 👀
@@CaptainEggcellent playstation lets go! llove the videos capn
@@CaptainEggcellent Still not buyig gamepass
You might've missed the reference with snape. The dialogue the woman says when use lumos is the same line said by a picture to Snape in Prisoner of Azkaban, when Snape catches Harry roaming the castle at night with the marauders map
Yep i was thinking the same thing
Which, I think, further supports the idea that the jack-in-the-box is indeed supposed to be Snape. I think what appears to be grey hair is actually just the edge highlight on the very edge of the hairline.
@@anonymousaccordionist3326 It doesn't make sense for them to directly make an image of Snape, seeing how he won't be alive for another few decades. While the game has made references to dialogue (follow the butterflies for example) it's gone out of its way to avoid characters from the films. Otherwise, there'd probably be a reference to a young Dumbledore somewhere.
@@anonymousaccordionist3326 Lol no
@@anonymousaccordionist3326 the jack in the box is not Snape at all. Nor a reference to him.
For Ghost of Tsushima, there are also shrines on Iki Island for Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne, and Shadow of The Colossus. If I recall correctly, the SOTC is the only one which gives you a unique piece of armor instead of just a dye
yep, these armors also appeared for the first time in a limited time event in the legends mode
Captain Eggcellent Thank you for your dedication to finding new things that we may have missed, and and taking the time to share it with others.
thank you for making these videos! honestly they're the best thing to watch after a long day or on a weekend
4:47 Wow. I love that you also get a Japanese rendition of the Theme that plays when Kratos's arm bands come loose. That's neat.
The portrait saying "Can you keep it down? Some of us are trying to sleep" is more likely the Easter Egg for Professor Snape, it references a scene from Prisoner Of Azkaban where both Harry and Snape are told similar things just minutes apart when Harry is exploring the castle looking for Peter Pettigrew and runs into Snape.
Nightmare of Decay has quite a bit of references in it. It's one of those "Love Letter" types of throwback indie games.
Also I like how the Shrine to get the GOW-themed armor is called Shrine of Ash.
Shame most of them are Silent Hill ones, which hurts in my opinion... really hope those old games get flawlessly released.
almost cried when i saw sly, murray, and bentley. Its like having a best friend that died years ago, and you happened to find a picture of them youd never seen before
What really sucks though is that Sucker Punch made Ghost of Tsushima and the Sly games. Just go back to it, guys. I beg you!
An Easter egg I found online that I thought was cool enough to share: In Portal 2, during the final boss battle, if you let the green adventure core monologue about adventure things, he brings up trying to make Wheatley say "You've been a thorn in my side for long enough!" and if you hear him say that, after you get all the cores in, he will actually say it.
6:23 the level name "Road side picnic" itself is a reference to a book by the same name.
Roadside Picnic by Arkady Strugatsky and Boris Strugatsky
The Faith Shoes and the Zombie Croft Easteregg been my favourite of the video :D
two other things I noticed about the GoW reference. The tune that plays during the cutscene sounds similar to GoW's soundtrack. The other thing being that its located at Shrine of Ash specifically. Knowing Kratos carries the ashes of his family forever on his skin, I dont think thats a coincidence
In Ghost of Tsushima’s Iki Island DLC, all of the shrines (e.g Shrine of Blood, Shrine of Ash) are all references to PS4, with the Shrine of Blood, for example is a reference to the gory Bloodborne, and the Shrine of The Hunt (I believe that’s what it’s called) is a reference to the Horizon games
I’m glad you cover big games and also niche smaller games. It’s cool
In Ghost of Tsushima you can also put together an outfit that is similar to sly cooper and you will get an achievement that more directly references sly cooper for it
For the Siberian Mayhem Easter Egg, the specific song that is played on the guitar is Damjan Mravunac's 'Hero' from Serious Sam 3: BFE
well at 3:45 the references are
1. sanjis first wanted poster where they messed his face
2. disney classic sad castle
3. then black spot are of Rorschach (can be from watchmen or the Rorschach test)
4.crash test dummy from crash dummies
5.then below poster is from a movie of jhon carpenter (from early 90's or so)
6. then spiderman suit in trash can from movie
7. rapanzel's hair from window
Thank you so much for introducing me to Echos of the Living!
Great video. Found another game to add in my Steam wishlist.
Love that wardrobe has 2 one piece references with sogeking (sniper king) mask hanging with the other masks and sanjis wanted poster.also the sand castle looks alot like that sand castle pokemon.
6:45 that guitar is in itself a reference to the Metro games, as Artyom has a similar acoustic guitar in his room that you can interact with. The level being called "Roadside Picnic" is further homage as the novella of the same name is what inspired the Metro series of books.
A another battlefield 2042 easter egg i found: on the renewal, you can find a troll face graffitied along the wall on the desert side. There are multiple along the wall so it should be fairly easy to find
I also think that the crane itself is a reference to one of mirror's edge's missions! I remember climbing up a crane and having a pit underneath it which looks similar to the one in bf2042! 6:01
My favorite CZcams Easter eggs channel
He’s the best
The Snape's Easter Eggs is the line of dialogue tell by the painting. It's the same line of a painting in The Prisoner of Azkaban.
Regardless of games, captain always makes them interesting and fun!
I could be mistaken but the tune that plays when you bow to the shrine in Ghost of Tsushima sounds like the GOW theme
Ghost of Tsushima also has a reference to Bloodborne and Shadows of the Colossus and armour skins for them at similar alters
@@forestgreene8687 hey buddy appreciate your comment so glad that you could point out something in the trailer that was also included in this video as an Easter egg
Regarding the Mirror's Edge easter egg in Battlefield 2042, it's more than just the shoes. In the original game there's a scene where you go down a round hole on some planks suspended by a crane. This is almost the same hole and crane in 2042
in the transfiguration classroom there is a reference to the second movie of HP when ron does a partial transfiguration of a rat to chalice and there is a field guide page about it
been here since time being silent usually! keep up the videos!
Thank you for shouting out the Sly Cooper series, desperately needs another release!
I just found a Easter egg where in MW2 If you go back and forth on spawn points for ground war there’s a chance where the camera will do a barrel-roll
1:20 congrats for the cameraman to play with his mind
3:45 Let's go from left to right
1. Sanji wanted poster (one piece)
2. Sandcastle (Disney Cinderella's castle)
3. Chaplin's famous penny farthing
4. Grey (green) alien made famous by the Hills
5. Rorshach test (possibly a reference to two bears high fiving in New Vegas or Watchmen)
6. Reference to when they removed the gun emoji from iPhone in favour of a water pistol
7. Shell game reference with the slot machine (also possible Donky Kong reference with the barrels
8. Born to rot hoodie a reference to the Born to die world is a fuck t-shirt
9. Arthur Weasley's car (Harry Potter)
10. Crash Test dummy reference to the Crash test dummy multimedia franchise
11. Consume plums a reference to They Live
12. Spider-Man's costume in the trash a reference to Spider-Man no more famous story line
13. Rapunzel's hair out of the window.
I think that's all of them.
Cat eyes in a trash can, that terrible woman that put a cat in a bin. Hope it got its revenge.
I literally got all of these on my own except 1 with no help of the comments. The only 1 I didn't get was the Disney Castle but my fiancée got it because she's a huge Disney fan.
This was the first jerky flavor I've ever made. Great video!
Fam. Definitely enjoy what you do. Ty
I believe the quest name "Roadside Picnic" at 6:50 is a reference to the Strugatsky book of the same name ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadside_Picnic ). The STALKER series is also heavily influenced by Roadside Picnic.
You videos are awesome. Imagine being so good xbox sponsors you. I started to watch your videos 3 years ago you grew so much
3:07 I also made that mistake with the character Zartan from GI Joe. I thought he had brown hair, but it turned out to be a hood.
Nightmare of decay is full of references it deserves a video on its own
Care to name any?
@@CaptainEggcellent the dead space head smash, Monty python, resident evil 4, and I think army of darkness
Also a lot of silent hill references
Contine the grind mate :)
7:04 also has steve vai's signature monkey grip =)
4:57 it also plays gow2018's theme with japanese instruments
I remember having a Nitro 5 1st Gen, oh boy did it have problems, hopefully newer versions are better
4:48 I love that the music is from god of war aswell
3:53 - Easter Egg hunt:
From the left:
- Sanji from One Piece (Before they got a photo of him).
- Sandcastle depicting Disney Castle.
- Rorschach test on the wall.
- Gaspump has a Snailshell on it, referencing "Shell" the company.
- Still Gaspump, being a slotmachine.
- The shirt, could be a reference to Born to die world is a fuck.
- At the top, we got a Crashtest dummy, sitting in the flying car from Harry Potter.
- "Consume Plums" poster is from the "Consume, Obey" from They Live.
- Spiderman's costume, the scene from Spider-Man 2 (2004).
- Top Right we got Rapunzel's Hair
- The eyes can be a reference to IT.
Love love love the sky cooper reference
4:00
To expand on the God of War 2018 Easter eggs found in Ghost of Tsushima. The Tree with the axe and handprint is only 1 of 4 Sony exclusive references in the Ikki island DLC. It’s part of a hidden quest line with super cool outfit rewards for players who solve it.
There are 4 landmarks on the island and if Jin wears a specific armor set and uses a specific emote he is rewarded with an outfit the landmark is referencing. The God of War landmark, as mentioned gets you A Kratos themed armor set and dye. The others include: a Horizon Zero Dawn outfit that looks like Alloy, a Shadow of the Colossus armor set (compete with a cool and unique Colossus mask) that makes Jin look like a Colossus, and finally a Bloodborne themed armor set that makes you look like A Hunter, the player character of Bloodborne. Just wanted to share that and expand on that cool God of War 2018 Easter egg you found! Great video!
7:00 man that guitar looks like Steve Vai's Ibanez 😅 even has the signature monkey grip
How have I only discovered your channel, here come some sleepless nights:D
References:
1. Sanji's first wanted poster from one piece)
2.'Consume Plums poster reference the movie They Live
3. Rapunzel's hair
4.The sheets coming out of the window is a Prison break reference from them escaping the prison
5.The dumbster eyes are either a reference to IT or Muppet
6. Spiderman's suit in a trashcan
7.The sand castle is the disney castle
8. Crash test dummy is maybe a reference to Mythbusters or smth
9.The car is a reference to harry potter flying car
10.The Penny farthing might be a reference from Charlie Chaplin movies
11.The Shell with the slot machine maybe a reference to those street games with a nut shell and you find the ball
12. The barrels are a reference to Batty Barrel Bandit from Donkey kong 64 stage
13.The pistol poster is from when i-phone removed the emoji, so is missing
14.The Rorschach in the wall might be a reference to the character Rorschach or Watchmen
15. Born to rot maybe a born to die shirt reference
16.Not sure but the Wind-up orange might be a reference to "A clockwork orange"
I’m so glad i wasn’t the only one to get the consume plums reference
3:46
A reference to a movie that I forgot it's name, where alien invading earth in secret and the only way to see them is by using a fair of shade glasses.
Wanted poster of Sanji the black legs from one piece, well a funny drawing of someone with funny head instead to be exact that later got facial reconstruction by him.
Spidey costume on the trash can, definitely referring to the comic.
Both rapunzel hair and rope made from sheet, a classic fairy tale.
That all I got
The song that plays at the shrine for the god of war Easter egg is actually a song from god of war too
The God of War EE in Tshushima also features the soundtrack from God of War in the background
Wow. Looking all through this, and I'm guessing none of these kids have played Myst Uru...or more importantly it's expansions. That shell with the ring around it in the 3:45 image is a very distinctive visual style.
In the wardrobe scene, i feel like the seashell one is a reference to the 3 seashells from the Stallone movie Demolition Man since there's a seashell logo and 3 choices
Yeah that’s what I thought, thought it’s not as obvious as the others
@@CaptainEggcellent The seashell in the middle of the scene? Heh. Myst Uru: Path of the Shell journey symbol. Mind you, no clue what the barrel slot machine behind it refers to.
4:47
The music played while praying is also based on the theme of God Of War: Ragnarok!
In battlefield 2042 and the mirrors edge easter egg im not sure if it’s a coincidence but where you find the shoes over that giant hole reminds me of the one sewer level before you enter it
2:42 This is the reference to the 3rd movie Prisoner of Azkaban where Snape caught Harry lurking in the halls at night with the marauder's map looking for Peter Pettigrew. The Snape in a box even has a lumos icon on it refers to Harry and Snape being scolded by the paintings around trying to sleep and demanding to put the light out of their wands
This is odd to me since...Snape shouldn't exist yet in this timeline if you know your lore.
@@charapresscott7750 That's why it's called an easter egg, a reference. It's not necessary to exist in the same timeline or universe even
@Dani Rodriguez It's a little confusing as all...its also what confused me into thinking that Legacy took place in the future. Though I pog out seeing family names more than I should. Ominis being a big example
At 3:50 there is a picture above the missing posters for an alien and a gun(which are probably references themselves) that I believe is a reference to the music video for 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley.
A nice detail in Hi-Fi Rush is that one of the bosses called Zanzo in his introduction/cutscene is striking poses from anime JoJo's Bizzare Adventures
Finally covering the wardrobe nice
That’s exactly what I got when I got the MSI Vector GP76 but gamepass is not available in Sri Lanka
On Iki Island in Ghost of Tsushima, you can also find a mural of Cole MacGrath from the Infamous series
Sly cooper easter egg brought a tear to my eye.
Wassup sick vid
Btw there's also another Sly Cooper Easter egg in Ghost with a specific armor color, katana and banda being inspired by sly and you get a trophy for equipping all 3.
There's also a bloodborne shrine much like the GOW one and when bowed to will play Gherman's theme and give you armor with bloodborne colors
Nicely done sponsor section, I was captivated and was relating.
In Batman Arkham night when you use the explosive gel he does a bat signal
I'm not sure if you covered it before but in World of Tanks on the map Dragon Ridge there's a location called Iroh West, a possible Easter egg to The Avatar The last Airbender because Iroh is the Dragon of the West
Seeing the sly cooper easter egg, makes me want and maybe hope for a new sly game to know ehat happened after episode 4
Hey I found something in nfs heat if you customize a car and hit the key for it to revert to stock it changes your license plate to paybacks plate
In ghost of tsushima, you can also get armor referencing bloodborn and horizon zero dawn
Ive seen several eastereggs in Ghost of Tsushima, though dont know if all have an importance. In one area where the old lady he knew back home passes away, bowing at her grave by the peak of the mountain will make a glowing light appear briefly as if a spirit is watching over you. There may have been a second spot it happens at but i cant remember. And also a flaming sword design with an old school ps1-like appearance.
3:45 in order from left to right:
1. Sanji’s first wanted poster from one piece
2. Rorschach test is a reference to Rorschach from Watchmen (my theory)
3. Missing gun is either a reference to the “where’s my gun,” quest from borderlands or the chameleon weapon skin from rainbow six siege
4. The car and crash dummy is a reference to turbo dismount
5. Consume plums is a reference to the movie They Live
6. Spider-Man costume in the trash, specifically a reference to Spider-Man 2
7. Rapunzel’s hair
8. Orange clock is a reference to a clockwork orange
9. Eyes in the dumpster is a reference to Oscar the grouch
10. Car in the wall is also same car from Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets
This is really cool that your being sponsored!
7:00 That Teletubbies Baby really grew up
Oh wow, that serious Sam Easter egg lmao. I expected it to play something after interacting with it enough, but I certainly didn't expect all that
3:45
1 spider man (suit in the can)
2 they live ( the poster)
3 watchmen (ink blot)
4 tangled (the hair and bed sheets)
Roadside Picnic reminds me in the Roadside Picnic book
Hey i just found out that in journey of the savage planet in boomervale area if you shoot the tropical birds milk and foot loops pop out lol
In midnight fight express on the nightclub level you can find three cats sitting at a booth saying something about dogs eyeing them, I believe this is a reference to caravans palace lone digger video
There was a kryptonite reference in the last mission where you kill Dexter hitman absolution
theres more refrences in Iki then just the GoW armor theres a Bloodborn refrence and a Horizen Zero Dawn refrence
good idea.
The wardrobe Easter egg I notice is wanted poster sanji from one piece, and spiderman suit
From that one scene in The Wardrobe, from left to right, I can see a wanted poster of Sanji from One Piece, a sandcastle (reminds me of a pokemon called Palossand), a Rorschach test (a reference to the character, Rorschach from Watchmen?), a poster "Consume Plums" which seems to be a reference to the movie "They Live", spiderman suit in the trash (a reference to Spider-Man 2 scene) and long braided hair (a reference to Rapunzel). That's all I can see. 😂
5. Sanji's first wanted poster (one piece)
4. 'Consume Plums' poster a reference to the movie 'They Live' (Very old movie btw)
3. Rapunzel's hair and bedsheets rope
2. Spiderman's suit in a trashcan
1. Crash test dummy is maybe a reference to Beam NG (i think lol)
Litterally just copied and pasted someone else's comment lol. Lame ass.
In the show Naruto, Sasuke can copy any technique with his special eye and in Fortnite if you have the sasuke skin, you can copy and emote that you look at as long as you own it and it’ll just pop up in ur built in emote slot. Very cool hidden detail not mentioned at all when you buy the skin. I’ve had the skin for about a year now and just found out about this yesterday
That's dope! My brother uses that skin, I'll let him know
3:45
1. Spider-Man's thrown away costume. Seen in many comics and the Film Spider-Man 2.
2. Wanted posted of Sanji from 'One Piece'
3. The consume plums poster is a reference to the aliens and propaganda from the film 'They Live'.
4. Rapunzel's hair and sheets. Possible reference to the Disney film 'Tangled'.
5. Car with Crash test Dummy. Most likely a reference to the old 'Incredible Crash Test Dummies' franchise. The commercials, toys, cartoon, etc.
6. Monster in the dumpster is most likely a nod to the 'Creepshow' segment 'The Crate'.
7. The Rorschach test could be a possible nod to the character 'Rorschach' from 'Watchmen'. Not sure about this one though. It's the only one thing that comes to mind.
You can get a Bloodborne and shadow of the colossus armor in ghost of Tsushima too
Sonic Riders that came out in 2006, There is an Extreme Gear this is called Hovercraft. It's a cloud kinda board with the description "Gear said to be used on a grand adventure."
Like the flying Nimbus from Dragon ball.
3:42 sanji wanted poster ,spider man ,maybe the worlds first bike, a casino machine maybe from cod,
The X-box Gamepass isn't new or original, back in the 90s it was the Sega Channel, wherein if your parents paid for the additional cable channel, you could play Sega's extensive library through your cable connection, and a special device I think that came with the subscription service, that hooked up to your genesis.
3:53 One Piece wanted poster, Watchmen/Rorschach Ink blot, Donkey Kong Barrels, Harry potter Blue Flying Car, Rapunzel's hair, Spiderman's Suit, Pokemon reference the Helix Shell this one is also a reference to the fuel company shell, Binding of Issac Flies, They Live (movie) consume poster.
There are 20 other objects that I can't seem to place but I'm sure they are all references. I really want to play this game now.
I don't know if someone already said it but there is an infamous second son Easter egg near the monkey shrine in iki island at ghost of tsushima. You can find it at the bottom left of the map while climbing to the hidden shrine nearby and you will see delsins symbol of 2 birds and star but the star is replaced with a ninja star.
