- Sydney Arkin was laid off from her job at the height of the pandemic. She took it as an opportunity to start her own ice cream business. Making every batch from scratch (even the mix-ins), Sydney has built a committed following to her lactose-free ice cream. Since filming, Bad Walters continues to grow and has moved out of the house and into the Korner Kitchen in Oakland CA.

This ice cream is so legit! Just had the ‘Drunk In Love’ for V-Day. Amaretto custard, coffee liqueur truffles & raspberry jam. Not too sweet, and really well balanced. I’m not sure if it’s because of the lactose free milk, but it feels so light. So incredibly delicious 🤤
As someone with chronic pain seeing someone doing something like what I want to do WITH a chronic illness makes me want to cry a little

I'm a nutritionist when she said she has gastroparesis and has to have a low fodmap diet I felt so bad, this is a very difficult lifestyle.
I'm glad she was able to turn around her situation and make something good out of this.

@@thegoodgourmandtt7234 Cookies and Cream ice cream rocks! It's those types of basic ice creams that are loved by millions of people. She is losing out on a ton of potential customers that won't try her ice cream because there isn't anything simple. I say why not make both. 😊

@@BuffaloNickel9 some people have lactose intolerance, milk products can give us an upset stomach or gastric distress. This milk doesn't have lactose.

It tastes pretty much the same as regular milk

I have sickle cell disease. To make a long story short my medical situation has also given me gastroparesis due to all the drugs slowing down my g.i. tact. Keep up the work of trying to do more good than bad hell you might be the first person to win a Nobel Prize for Ice Cream Manufacturing. Hopefully, you'll get big enough that I could grab a pint here in the sunshine state. 👏🏿👍🏿

I wanna support this but something inside me just doesn’t like food prepared in people’s home that I don’t see. It bothers me even more when there’s pets. Hopefully she finds a kitchen bc I love her commitment to not doing what’s in the stores. Kudos to her and her following! Keep growing.

Like I normally put my ice cream in the microwave for 10-25 seconds... or let it sit out a bit.
Nothing better than ice cream when it gets real creamy and starts to melt a bit on top..
