hi, I have a question, my speakers on the left side of the car are creaking, I changed them to new ones and it's still the same, do you think where to look for the fault in the radio or main unit?
Do you think I would be able to cut the speaker and power wires from the factory mmi harness and reroute them to the gap on the top and retro fit my own headunit

Switching them into some other system would be definately harder. All options are opened now.
I got an Audi A4 8K2 with exactly the same features as yours except the the colour display. Since 2 weeks there is no function in MMI/display/navigation/sound. Looks like no current coming to theses apparatus.
Assuming something in the MMI "headunit" below middle console has been destroyed. Or an inside fuse is broken.
It happened after I charged 2 phones with cigarette-lighter devices.
I checked all fuses already. Looks good.
It's actually a common fault with audi o had the problem for a year and finally got a aftermarket 1 in 😂

When replacing the center control console that is around the shifter, do you know if that motherboard needs to be reprogrammed by Audi? If so, any idea what they charge?
You mean mmi controller?
I just replaced my MMI controller (the whole panel around the shifter) with a part from ebay and did not have to have any programming done!!

@@GetJobDoneofficial you know of any places that refurb CVT boxes bro? I’ve only found one company and that’s down in London. He’s charging around 1k to refurb the box including new clutch
@@hamzak4730 Hi mate. The charge is about right those boxes and clutch is like engine job alone with an extra headache. I don't know anyone personally that could recommend, perhaps that London place could be worth reading into ..
My 2013 A4 sat Nav suddenly stopped working as in not recieving Satellites and giving me wrong locations 100s of miles away from where I am.
I tried stripping out the shark fin and trying one from ebay ( advertized as don't know if it works) luckily as the seller was local he let me try it before I decided to buy or not but it didn't fix it.
So next bought a chinese GPS antenna with a Fakra and pulled the head and plugged the chinese GPS antenna in directly and still nothing.
Does that mean the Head unit is toast or am I missing something like all 3 antennas are toast or that there is a setup procedure I'm unaware of after changing the antenna?

Hi Get Job Done. One question: I found a nice Audi A5 to buy with a good price however the car comes with the normal system or without sat nav. There is no MMI control panel where the gearbox selector is. What parts do i need to make the Audi A5 be like those from the factory with sat nav? Thank you.
I would modify it or upgrade to touch screen so no need for controller. To upgrade it to OEM you need a kit with modules for that particular system.
My mmi unit doesnt come out after inserting the key, what do i do?
