JUST bought an 09 A4 Avant. I have EXACTLY this issue.
Ill be getting to work on this ASAP and this was the only video I found with my exact issue.
Thank you in advance!!!
Hope it fixes your problem, you can also check fuses and the mmi controller as well, those can also cause the same issues.
No dice!! There's water back in the cargo area (wagon).
I'm so defeated.
Thank you for this video 🙏 you literally saved my life. Had same problem and got back my mmi. Work's perfect. The only problem I still have is no radio and 5amo fuse on the right side in the boot keeps blowing off don't know why. Any ideas?

Dude I’ve done this it worked to fire up the MMI but I’m not able to use the media or getting any sound at all, I know the radio will not work but why isn’t the other functions like the SD card etc
I love ho man 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Bro im praying this is my issue. Just ordered the loop 😅
Very good chance that it will work out for you 😄
I tried putting the loop on what you showed but nothing however I put the loop on my CD changer optic port and the buttons and screen turn on for a few seconds. Any ideas?
@@joegarcia1046check fuses next
@@BOSSMARTIN where are the fuses located? Are there any in the trunk with the amp?
@@EatCraftyThere are some fuses on the right side of the trunk, as well as under a panel on the left side of the dash and the right side.
Is this for any model Audi ? Do they all look like that for the fiber optic location ?
Most of them up to 2014 with have a similar layout and location. It’ll either be located on the left or right side of the trunk or under the glove compartment.
Do the mmi need to be reprogrammed after replacing just replaced mine and it’s not turning on at all wondering if it needs to be coded to the vin
I’m not sure, I have not replaced a mmi yet, but I believe it may need reprogramming. If not then check all your connections again and also check fuses.
If you replaced your mmi because it stop working then also check for water damage in the truck as well as under the glove compartment.
Hey bro , dis worked but audio doesn’t work , jus like u said but not even when connected to ax in glovebox can’t hear nun , any ideas ?
Make sure you check your fuse box for any blown fuses.
Also make sure the aux wires are not the issue.
You can also try unplugging all the systems in the back and replug them in.
Another issue but not likely would be your mmi controller is damaged.
Or, more likely, if bypassing your receiver worked, your receiver needs to be replaced.
Damm Bro. I love you!
What kind of store did you get it? If that is in Amazon for sure have to be in any store physically
I got mine from Amazon, not sure if they have this in store anywhere.

Great video btw I've tried the loops but didn't work on both any ideas
Check the fuses
Make sure there isn’t any water or mold near your amps. Might need new amps.
You may need to replace your mmi controller. You can either replace the whole thing or take it apart and replace the circuit board insides.
Me either, I've looped out everything in the trunk, seems to me like everything is getting power and the optical signal, but yet my screen and MMI buttons still don't show any signs of life
@@WaterOnMobiledid you find a fix?
@@eoghandelaney1384nope 🥲
Can upload a video explaining how check the fuses and how they need to be on each spot
Bro i put the bypass cable from Amazon, the screen doesnt shut off now but there is no sound nothing.. not available. What can i do? To get any music out of the speakers?
Thanks
You tried playing music through the aux?
Radio sound will not work.
Check fuses as well.
Check for water damage as well.
You may need a new amp.
@@BOSSMARTIN i tried to put aux on but on the screen stands loading medium device also when i turn on the BT
How can you play tru aux if we had the same problem?
@@bosniansenadWhat model car do you have?
@@BOSSMARTIN i have a s5 cabrio 2015
If i wanna listen to music what do i needa do now??
If you’re having the same issue symptoms as my mmi system then a fiber optic loop should fix your issue.
This is my first car i just bought it and now i onow how to fix my screen
Glad I could help, I’m gonna work on getting the whole system functional as well.

I have a 2020 a4. Any ideas?
I haven’t seen this issue on a 2020 a4 before, but check for any water damage in the trunk or glove box area. Also check your fuses and replace any of them that might be blown.
Also check the health of your battery, or make sure you have the correct battery for your car.
