Dont use a torque wrench on this kind of crap lol i almost never use except for those stretch bolts in heads and cam phasers

Just tighten it till it snaps then back off a quarter turn.

Instead of using the chain, I actually found a thin piece of cloth to fit underneath the oil filter wrench cap and then I gently hammered it down. It made it tight enough to where I could finally grip the filter to loosen it. I hope this helps somebody who’s struggling rn 😂😂.
