Quite disappointed! Since when sugar is used in vindaye? I asked the elders and they said they never heard of olive oil in Mauritius, even years after living in London, olive oil was not seen in their kitchen. Mustard oil yes!
Elle Directioner l am talking about Mauritian people of the 50's. My parents said there was none and my grandfather may not have heard about it at all. I know there is olive oil now, l saw it when l visited in 2015. But obviously, you will know better.

Olive oil as healthy options I believe. People are making change. Me too never heard of putting sugar though

There is indeed olive oil in Mauritius. And it is more popular than mustard oil, here.
