I think Eddie coming back as Dustin's imagination to help guide him along thru season 5 would be a heartwarming and Dustin could use this to clear Eddie's name.
I just want to see Eddie in the final season in some sort of way I miss him so much everyday

If Eddie was alive it would cure me, but him being a hallucination like billy would probably haunt me I would love it. Even if we know he isn’t alive, me and my friend still made a prediction, we said that how the hell could’ve Dustin got Eddie out there, I don’t think Eddies actual body is buried if you think about it someone else besides Wayne definitely knows about Eddies death and if the others Steve, Nancy, and Robin got back and Dustin’s crying there gonna worry about him and probably question where Eddie is and all that so they probably know but would they really go back and look at the state Eddie is in? Probably not but nobody in Hawkins knows about the upside down and all the areas have been blocked off most likely, people in Hawkins still see Eddie as a bad person and I don’t think they would touch his body anyway (they’ll probably see it as bad luck). We haven’t really seen anybody die (besides Barb) in the upside down, if everything is dead then I mean nothing can really feed on Eddie or anything right? Vecna could probably use him for a short period of time until he gets a hold of Will or Max?
This question was put to Joe Quinn at Portland expo.. he was a bit giddy in his denial. Made mention that if he came back Chrissy would have too as well. Then back to denial.

I know I want more than just one flashback of Eddie. That doesn't feel good enough. Dustin's faded and torn Hellfire shirt makes me wonder if it's Eddie's shirt considering how torn it is. If it's Eddie's, it feel less likely Eddie's somewhere out there. Then I think there seems to be quite an few Jamie and Joe interviews of them together. Is it a hint that they will act together in season 5 or no they are just good friends? I can see 001 using Eddie as a servant for sure whether Eddie remembers who his friends are or not. I mean in D&D Eddie's the Dungeon Master sending enemies their way. Then Eddie finds away to get away from 001, break his chains and fighting for the party. Later Hopper finds away to clear his name maybe. I want an Eddie return or I want the spirit of Eddie to return to Dustin as a ghost to help him or something. Making him another hallucination sounds too similar to Max and Billy.
Think Billy in Season 4, when Max sees him in the cemetery... Or Papa in Season 2 when Kali makes him appear... Eddie can still be part of the show even if he isn't really there.
Yes I think Dustin would have hallucinations of Eddy
I think Eddie will return as a figment of Dustin imagination as a way for Dustin to cope.

There were many people who die in the upside down in season 1 and vecna might use them all to mess with the party like barb might comeback
Vecna will use Eddie to torture dustin and break his spirit
Time travel has also been heavily hinted so that could also be a scenario where Eddie could come back.
All I know is that the gravestone itself is not an indication of his death. The show has already had two funerals with empty graves (Will and Hopper) and one fake dead body (Will) -unless of course they buried the fake body.

I think for me he will probably be in a flashback because every other character that we know had a flashback so I think it would be a flashback I hope the show do that

Only way he's coming back for real is if he's proven innocent, he's loosely based on Damien Echols who was proven innocent eventually. I could definitely see flashbacks for Dustin, either help or haunt him...but definitely NOT a vampire or zombie or zombie vampire! This isn't that type of show!
