there are more germs in your kitchen table and you don't move germs around, you have a weird pseudo-scientific view of an house infested wth little critters that infect you as soon as you touch a surface. This is nothing but paranoia, maybe on the verge of obsessive compulsive disorder.

She is cross contaminating the entire bathroom by spreading her cloths around everywhere that has touched everything. I will agree with you that we come into contact with so many germs everyday and that its unhealthy if we are constantly removing/killing all pathogens. However, when you spread bathroom germs (such as fecal matter, bodily fluids, and other toilet germs) it is a hazard to human health. That's why people wash their hands because if you go around spreading and contaminating everything, it can cause illness. Please also keep in mind that hand washing does not kill germs (unless an antibacterial soap is involved), it just removes them.
***** there's no fecal germs or bodyly fluid in a toilet, flushing remove everything, those clothes have never been in contact with any kind of germ, the bathroom is cleanest place there's because there's lot of water and steam all the time, it's almost an aseptic place, like an hospital room really I have seen the studies on pathogenic bacteria count in the house.
On the other hand your keyboard, that's a different story. There are more pathogens and potentially hamrful germs in your keyboard right now that you will ever find in a toilet bowl. That's because there's never water in your keyboard, bacteris can proliferate under the keys.

My husband saw that one instantly! ! Also who keeps a broom and changeable pads in the bathroom? I keep supplies under the sink in each room, extra trash bags, (though I use grocery store bags to reuse) but I can't afford a reusable swiffer like device for each room..... but hey she was fast.. no hand washing or gloves required! She promised 3.5 minutes not perfection.. basically it's a keep the bathroom neat in 3.5 minutes video.. As I I don't recall the tub stains being scrubbed either?

Johnnie Silfies, a good way to do it is to keep things relatively neat in the bathroom. No clothes or trash on the floor--never! Also keep a plastic bag lining the trash can so you just grab it and gather all the trash at once. Rinse the sink bowl very well every time you brush your teeth or wash your hands. Spray the bathtub area with anti-mold spray to keep it cleaner longer. These little steps help a lot.

There is so much wrong with this video. If this is a hotel room that was used once, I could understand it being quick, but she hardly touched the shower. Then tiles and tub weren't cleaned at all (then she throws garbage in there) and then she barely wets the floor cloth (with no cleaner) to wash the floor. I also clean the toilet last because it's the dirtiest and I wear gloves for that. I can get a nearly clean bathroom done in 15 mins and that's considered fast in my books, and it's clean!!
I ususally wash the mirrors, walls, door + latch, shower, tub, toilet, sink, floor and hands, in this order :)

What you did was clean the the sink, mirror, toilet, and floor. What you missed besides the tub you put dirty rags in was about 30 more minutes of dusting, sanitizing, ect. This is exactly why you do it yourself. These companies that come in and charge an arm and a leg and do about as much as a teenager would. Why would I pay for 3.5 minutes of work?

Eww... she touched the toilet seat and even the toilet brush with bare hands and then without washing her hands first, she wipes down the basins and counter-tops. I always do the cleaner basins and counter-tops first and the toilet last to avoid cross-contamination. This is a really unhygienic way of cleaning. She only did a lazy and half-job on everything. And who the hell uses the same cloth for every sections of the toilet? I use disposable antibacterial wipes on the toilet, and that's a new piece for each section. WASH YOUR DAMN HANDS WOMAN!!

Plus she left all of that garbage and dirty towels in the tub. :( I think this is a fast way of spreading germs from one surface to the next. lol I clean working from the top down and leaving the toilet last. I use gloves too! Everyone cleans differently, but people have to do it smart or they will waste their time and effort in what they have accomplished.

I'm with you there........I wipe down my toilet with disposable antibacterial cleaning wipes........scrub the inside with cleanser and a toilet brush. Yeah......she used that same damn rag to clean the toilet.........very poor cleaning technique. She gets a D- .........
As someone raised on Don Aslett books, I can tell you people are missing a key point: if you rid your life of clutter, maintaining your house really is this easy. When you don't have to spend 20 minutes just moving the junk off the counter and the floor to get to the areas to clean, it is easy to zip in and clean it in 3.5 minutes. This makes it easy to do it more regularly, which eliminates the need to scrub hard water scale and soap scum.
I would wear gloves, though.
Thanks so much for this video! It really does speed things up when you have a routine that you do over and over again in the same order. The principal is genius: when it takes less than 5 minutes to clean, you have the time to clean it more frequently, which makes it less dirty every time you clean it, which makes it take less time to clean.
There is some OK info here for beginners. It takes me about half an hour to clean my master bath, but part of that is spent removing stuff that is on the counter and taking off the shower curtain and washing it (if needed). Some of the stuff on the counter belongs there while other stuff doesn't. The cleaning products that I use that I really like include Bar Keepers Friend for the bathtub, GM or AC Delco (I can't remember -- got it at the GM dealership) glass cleaner for the mirror (best indoor glass cleaner I've ever used), and a steam mop for the floor. Have tried multiple general cleaners and toilet cleaners and really can't tell much difference between them so get whatever you like (I'm trying Super Clean from Walmart -- diluted 12:1 -- right now). I use shop towels on everything except the brushes for the toilet and bath -- and I use Scotch pads for the bath and a Rubbermaid commercial toilet brush, but you can use whatever you want. The key is if you clean your bathroom every week, or at least every other week as I do, it will make the overall job a little easier and a lot quicker.
This is just touch up in the mornings not not regular cleaning

Also, I use paper towels to clean the toilet area and separate ones for the handles of the sink and tub. It's a waste of paper but no transference of bacterias and I never get a damn cold lol

+Jason Beal haha I wear gloves and clean the toilet by hand using commit and the "totally Awsome" cleaner from dollar tree with a magic eraser. I throw it away when I'm done too. Then I go over the whole toilet with paper towels and windex just like you do.
I have OCD..literally..been diagnosed since age 7..it takes me more than 30 mins to clean a bathroom cause I stop to do rituals inbetween every 2 mins. I dont have OCD that is triggered by missing spots or whatever. the easiest way to clean the bathroom less than 1 minutes is.. when it's empty, nothing on the counter ,nothing on the bathroom shelves, nothing on the drawer, no lotion, no make up product or other beauty product, etc...
when u work on the ship and people come cruising for 2 weeks but bring entire house to the ship and spray sunscreen and it get sticky on the floor and all around the surface including the mirror, or baby powder and it spread all over the bathroom shelves.. if cleaning can be done within 3 minutes I give 4 thumbs up, don't forget including scrubbing shower door and wall ☺

The "illusion" of clean. She stuck her fingers IN the toilet to use that toilet brush and then proceeded to touch everything in the bathroom. I am so grossed out. She needs to wash her hands with antibacterial or change gloves a few times. This was so messed up. I remember Ellen telling a story that when she was young she was house sitting and watched the cleaning lady clean every room of the house with one cloth. I will never hire a maid. Germs don't get there themselves; they are created through the bacteria that grows from areas which are contaminated. There are a lot more germs in your bed sheets in the morning but still germs are part of life, they're not pathogenic per se and an aseptic house is actually where you're going to get sick more often. Finding pathogens in the house is pretty uncommon per se, if you had read studies on virus and households you wuold see that even after 5 years of no cleaning, 10 dogs in the house, garbage in the kitchen (as the house of hoarders) the presence of pathogenic germs is limited and more likely to occur in the kitchen where food soiled or the bedroom than in the bathroom, where water and steams limits the survivals of pathogens

I guess you could clean the bathroom like this, that is if you never actually use it. you need to get the baseboards and all of that soap scum from the tub, the cabinets could use a cleaning as well, they can get dusty and sometimes toothpaste can get sprayed on them by accident. it takes much more that 3 1/2 minutes to clean a bathroom especially if you have kids or several people using the same bathroom.

This video is missing spots on the mirror so high that you need a step ladder to reach them, nasty glass shower doors, whiskers and toothpaste in the sink, dusty vents, long hair strands covering every surface, and an entire department store cosmetic counter by the sink. Can I get a witness?

I will tell you how to properly clean a bathroom.Step 1 Always take all bathruggs and dirty towels out of the bathroom and throw them in the washer,step 2 get out your throw away clean baby wipes soak it in either mr.clean,pinesol,or Clorox clean up bleach,wash the sink first and dirty soap dishes,step 2 get new baby wipes out and soak in the disinfectents I told you to use,and start at the top of the toilet wipe it,then wipe the toilet seat,then the toilet rim ,then get out your toilet bowel cleaner and scrubber scrubb it 2 times then flush,then clean around the bowel of the toilet back included,then throw all dirty disposable baby wipes away,then get out a sponge and first rinse the shower walls down with hot water then spray the Clorox clean up on the walls scrub and rinse,then rinse the tub out with hot water spray with Clorox clean up and then scrub all of it sides ass well inside then rise with hot water 2 times,then get on your hands and knees and use the disposeable babywipes,spray it down with disinfectant I told you to use,then start on the floor,wipe behind the toilet on the floor,and make your way to the door cleaning the whole floor with disinfectant baby wipes that you throw away,then take out the trash,and let floor dry,thats the proper way to clean a bathroom in as few of words as I can say ,,goodday

I like the microfiber idea, but most of the toilets I have to clean have urine behind the seat, she also didn't clean the shower any, which is a good idea to clean and remove hair and soap scrum with a magic eraser and dawn dish soap if you don't want to get complaints from the customers.

it's given me a couple of ideas, i could get more cloths and put them all in a bag for washing straightafter. I could also do this wipe round more often to avoid the back breaking scrubbing. I wouldn't clean loo like she does though

You people are ridiculous! If you actually regularly clean, your bathroom should not look dirty or grimy. That's once per week, twice if you have kids or are super messy. If you don't let stuff sit and harden, you don't have to scrub hard. Any time you notice grime, wipe your sink! It takes 2 seconds. You can use paper towels, disposable wipes, whatever makes you happy. For your toilet, any time you notice hair or dirt, wipe with toilet paper, drop in the bowl before you flush. Five seconds every day makes cleaning day so much easier! Then this routine ( with a few tweaks: touch toilet last, don't touch toilet brush with bare hands, put trash outside of room, not in tub) works for a weekly or biweekly cleaning (depending on how many people use the bathroom and how messy they are). Do a deep scrub, including the tub and shower once or twice a month (again, frequency depends on how messy it gets). I also wipe/squeegee the shower after every use, so it stays pretty clean. Once a week after my shower (so it's already wet), I spray cleaner on it before squeegeeing it. Takes maybe 5-10 seconds. If reusable cleaning cloths gross you out, use paper towels or wipes, but people have been using reusable cloths for centuries. Use hot water to wash your cloths and put dryer on hottest setting. Microfiber means not having to scrub much. Or if you want to waste your money with an expensive, bad for the environment product that's actually less effective, by all means use disinfectant wipes or paper towels if it makes you feel better. And yes, plain water is perfectly fine for cleaning your mirror if you use microfiber cloths, glass cleaner can actually ruin mirrors and doesn't do much but cost you more money. Toilet bowel cleaner is also unnecessary, just use an all-purpose cleaner, it works just as well. One more tip is to close lid on toilet brush handle so the brush hangs over the toilet and drips dry, then put it back in its caddy when it's dry.
Oh, and if you take baths, you do need to scrub your tub more often. I would spray cleaner in it after your bath and wipe it out quickly so you wouldn't have have to scrub a ring later.

Wear gloves when you clean a toilette. I do it first and I scrub the toilette bowl for at least a fully minute, flush, then scrub again in soapy water to clean the brush. THEN with paper towel clean the top, tank, lid, seat, rim and base. I usually throw out that pair of disposable gloves. THEN I will clean the counter tops, then sweet the floor, and mop it. I always using boiling hot water for the mop. This video was disgusting.

First of all i wouldnt be touching the toilet brush or cleaning the toilet without gloves... Secondly im not too sure about using a cloth to wipe all areas of the toilet- are you suppose to re-use it?? i usually use strong tissue that i can dispose of once used.
