    Villa Savoye
    Le Corbusier 1929
Paradigm of modern architecture, Villa Savoye, built in 1929 by the French- Swiss architect Charles Edouard Jeanneret: Le Corbusier, in Poissy an small town near Paris.
In this work the architect exposes a set of terms that constitute its own formal language, and to some extent, the formal language of modern architecture.
Through its practical and theoretical work, Le Corbusier shows us a model to create a new architecture; where beauty is supported by the practicality and functionality, whose inspiration comes from the development of machinery and the use of new building materials such as concrete and steel

Le Corbusier developed a set of architectural principles that described his technique and he called it the "Five Points of architecture". This villa is representative of the origin of modern architecture and is a renowned example of the International style and follows the set of architectural principles that Le Corbusier called the " Five Points of architecture" in his book "Vers Une Architecture" (1923). This house and 16 other buildings by Le Corbusier, spread over 7 countries, were inscribed as Le Corbusier World Heritage Site by UNESCO. I liked this interesting video and subscribed to the channel.

The villa Savoye was a total failure ! The owners used this house only 3 weeks due to imperfections.

It was built in 1929 so no shit. Villa savoye is an iconic building which built the foundation of le corbusier's five points of architecture which is now being used in modern design
