Animated in blender, rendered in cycles Employee character model by @dotflare5330 song: Runaway - Kanye West ...and don't forget, you're a great asset to the company
I just wanna talk about the beautiful cinematography done here. The way the first half where things were fine, there was a nice comforting warm orange glow and pleasing bloom and vibrancy but right after the first employee dies everything turns gray, desaturated, a cold blue and green hue wafts over. I don’t even know how he managed to do it but it’s like you can almost feel the employees emotions even through that mask. You can almost feel the trauma, despair, anguish and determination. The body language speaks volumes like the way that at the start the employee we watch is full of energy, fast pace, he’s looking around, inspecting the loot and has high hopes but when things go down hill he becomes deadpanned, more exhausted, more tired like he can’t keep doing this much longer but he must and this is reinforced by how he lets out his anger on the cabinet, with everything that’s happened he can’t take it. At the end when he’s stumbling away with his arm torn off he isn’t walking in desperation. He is walking like an empty man. He isn’t thinking of the quota or trying to live. He has accepted his death yet he still walks until he can’t anymore. This is such a well done animation, it tells a story in such a short amount of time and viewers can actually get attached to the employee as we see his humble beginnings devolve into pandemonium. We wanted to see him succeed but in the end he dies. Not to mention the way the music was used perfectly to convey all of this with the slow single piano notes then the other instruments erupting as soon as the first employee dies. Overall beautifully done. Sorry for over analyzing 😅

The creepiest scene, from my perspective, is when he slams the locker. It’s weird, but I think it’s because we don’t usually consider the fact that there’s an actual person in that suit. A little detail I noticed, I like how even though they are Identical, they are all slightly different personalities wise. you can tell the first to die was always following the main boss guy closely, as seen in. the opening and when he dies. you can tell how the guy In the yellow is saddened by the loss of a crew member, but doesn't get to up close and stays farther back. You can tell that the other orange dude is kind of not a fan of the boss with how he is seen yelling at the boss, and how he stands in the ship when the boss punches the cabinet door. And the boss is near completely void of emotions and only really cares about his survival and finishing the job. It's something I don't think anyone would point out, but I love it.

I love how more and more haggard his suit becomes, and that the 4-man crew gets dwindled to one. It would be a nice detail if he started out as a jumpy and eager intern to a jaded boss.
It's kinda like reality of a job or being in the military. One day your an eager and ready to get to work 18 year old 12 years later. You've lost all your brothers and mostly yourself in that time not knowing if your gonna live a normal life again.
I can’t explain how good this is. You made the characters feel more human, and it really shows how actually terrifying it would be to live in lethal company.

Surviving the longest because they have the most experience, but ultimately perishing in the end because the job is lethal after all.
I want a movie though following a intern who has military training and was forced into joining the company. Though he has military experience the team he was apart of when in the military everyone lived because of his leadership so when he joins the company becoming the lone survivor of multiple missions where he’s assigned to every single mission. Then at the end he dies and then it cuts to another person a teenager who is in financial debt and he comes across a flier saying -wont you join the company no hiring- starting a new adventure and sadness
@@Alex-si1uonah it would be better if they followed the lore where they don’t even know when and how they applied and got hired in the company. That would be a better fit for the theme of the game and especially with the Eldritch horror that’s behind the actual company.
The shot where you can see one praying and the other one is mad while the boss is standing in between them after the land mine is my favorite part, it really starts the crack between the group.
This is the first time a CZcams VIDEO has ever managed to actually make me cry.... holy shit especially the scene where he gets his arm eaten off....that was the part that broke me....
the guy punching the cabinet is such a good little detail, it really shows that he likely had strong relationships with the other employees that died. also the scene of one of them stumbling around with a dismembered arm is also amazing.
Even crazier that it’s focusing on the perspective of the crewmate that lives the longest, if you look closely, the short is actually just the same employee watching his team get killed before losing his arm and bleeding out from a thumper.
I love how you went ,with the different kinds of things that happen, and put a hint of reality to it like him slowly losing his mind and fighting back, his suit slowly breaking apart, and finally his hope as he returns back to the ship. ❤love it keeps getting better.
We need a live action or animated show about different teams going to each planet, but it follows one guy that is the keeps moving on to a new team after each of his teams die, and once it finally gets to titan, or some other s level planet, he sacrifices himself so the rest can escape with the scraps.
Bro you have to team up with Zeekers the owner of lethal company and make short films or something!! This would be an amazing movie or tv show. Please keep making more
Bro encountered a giant chasing him, an unawared coil-head behind him (maybe spider too?), an enraged bracken, a thumper that already got too close and managing to escape the facility before die to blood loss. Bro truly is a BOSS. Not to mention witnessing all of his crews dying one by one.
the other thing is, it didn't happen all in one day too. You can see them going down to a chill planet. Then going down to another planet that takes a member, one after another. At first you see him pretty carefree, to then walking shellshock from having to carry a employee half corpse during the coil head sprinting at him scene. To later in the story carrying a knife to protect himself with. To the point he ran off without seeing if the other guy was still alive or not. "Look at you" the song plays while his name tag spells Boss.
This brings so much life to the game, the animation is very movie worthy, everything from the dampening of colors with dark overtones showing how it all can change in a matter of moments for the crew. Seeing the two of them talking in the background early (before the mine explosion) and then for the very same employee who was talking to the one that ended up exploding by the mine, to be holding his or her head and pacing back and forth... The raging fist against the locker, the emotions in this are captured better than even some human actors are capable of and these guys have full hazard suits on...
I feel like this would be an insane tv series. like it follows the story of one asset. then as the episodes go on, the dead teammates are replaced with new assets but the old one who survives keeps falling into mental instability until the finale where they risk it all for the newest team to escape the facility and make quota... until the next season happens and the new teammate we follow has to live through a similar tramatic series as asset 01 did
The shot of the boss walking with the apparatus while his last coworker screams at him is interesting. I interpret that as the grief-stricken coworker cursing him out because their friends are dying and all he wants to do is keep working.
I agree with you. In game If you go under the "The company" head quarters it looks like some previous crew members built a drill to see what was on the other side, but needed a lot of apparatuses to make it work. The boss and the last crew member probably had a falling out about whether or not they should keep it. Or I am reading too much into this 😂
I also really like the fact that the ship keeps filling with mementos of his adventure, the engine block, the robot toy, the rubber ducky, the crate of bottles, they just accumulate over time as a reminder of all the things he did in his adventure.
It’s even more depressing considering that despite all the stuff they collected, none of the crew would be returning with them. Just an empty ship with spoils of whatever they had collected, but no sign of those that collected them.
I never didnt also know, that a animation - cinema style video of game actually could make me cry about these guys, doing their work and dying for their company.
To think a low poly, small team development game on steam would climb the ranks to be eye to eye with triple a games like CoD, and bring about passion projects like this animation is awsome.
I noticed you went back to the original game’s giant design and I LOVE IT. I am a finicky person for details and your rendition of lethal is phenomenal

Edit: I like the small detail of the "main character" being a boss. Surviving the longest because they have the most experience, but ultimately perishing in the end because the job is lethal after all.
Well Kim... I guess they are just as you say...
A LETHAL COMPANY
*bu-dum shhhh 😂😂😂
@@LeHarmacist The problem is that there's no ending, no one can overpower the monster that the Company is or secures
@@lucasfelipe8349 the ending doesn’t have to be them defeating it. There’s a lot of movies with an ending where the protagonists die in the end.
The most accurate part in this is the bracken mercilessly chasing the player down but amazing animation
It’s all fun and games till you realized you were talking next to a dog
This needs to be made into a miniseries.
yes
.
And this is the Intro
The shot where you can see one praying and the other one is mad while the boss is standing in between them after the land mine is my favorite part, it really starts the crack between the group.
damn your right
“This can’t be happening!”
“Another day at the company”
This makes lethal company kinda sad. My man is risking his life for everything he still doing it until he died. “Great assets to the company”
The worst part about the Job is accepting the fact you might never come back
i love how the emotions are convey so on point even without any facial expression
Take notes, Halo by Paramount
Yeah, especially with the body language, like when he punched the locker because his partner died
One of the best animations I've seen. You told a whole story within 60 seconds.
No trolls left behind
"Great asset to the company"
Damn...hearing those words mean so much more different
This is the first time a CZcams VIDEO has ever managed to actually make me cry.... holy shit especially the scene where he gets his arm eaten off....that was the part that broke me....
the guy punching the cabinet is such a good little detail, it really shows that he likely had strong relationships with the other employees that died. also the scene of one of them stumbling around with a dismembered arm is also amazing.
Even crazier that it’s focusing on the perspective of the crewmate that lives the longest, if you look closely, the short is actually just the same employee watching his team get killed before losing his arm and bleeding out from a thumper.
@@AngryecksButActually oh wow, GibbsonTV is so talented in not just animation but also storytelling.
I love how you went ,with the different kinds of things that happen, and put a hint of reality to it like him slowly losing his mind and fighting back, his suit slowly breaking apart, and finally his hope as he returns back to the ship. ❤love it keeps getting better.
I love out it says boss and he became the leader and carried his teammates body was heart breaking 😢
We need a live action or animated show about different teams going to each planet, but it follows one guy that is the keeps moving on to a new team after each of his teams die, and once it finally gets to titan, or some other s level planet, he sacrifices himself so the rest can escape with the scraps.
Song fits so well. The original lyrics say "run away as fast as you can" lol
a toast to the jerkoffs

Runaway goes hard with this one
Bro you have to team up with Zeekers the owner of lethal company and make short films or something!! This would be an amazing movie or tv show. Please keep making more
Ye definitly!
Seriously
I would KILL for an animated series on Sigurd's crew man
@@spideronbathroomtowel4927 Same!!
The Thumper is what got him in the end
the other thing is, it didn't happen all in one day too.
He also encountered a watcher of the house (nutcracker) it is what killed the second to last guy.
Dam this is better than a trailer
The emotions you can convey without dialogue or facial expressions. 10/10
Another fantastic animation Gib! Truly a valuable asset
Very sad but beautiful at the same time
Bro really learned that if you join this company, you'll lose your friends, sanity, and your life as well
I feel like this would be an insane tv series. like it follows the story of one asset. then as the episodes go on, the dead teammates are replaced with new assets but the old one who survives keeps falling into mental instability until the finale where they risk it all for the newest team to escape the facility and make quota... until the next season happens and the new teammate we follow has to live through a similar tramatic series as asset 01 did
Awesome idea 🔥🔥
All while each new team follows in the footsteps of those who came before them and uncover the mysteries of the overarching plot
The shot of the boss walking with the apparatus while his last coworker screams at him is interesting. I interpret that as the grief-stricken coworker cursing him out because their friends are dying and all he wants to do is keep working.
Right i diddnt know what to make of it why is he walking away from the ship with it🤔

@@kermitthefrog2578 ah you right
I agree with you. In game If you go under the "The company" head quarters it looks like some previous crew members built a drill to see what was on the other side, but needed a lot of apparatuses to make it work.
The boss and the last crew member probably had a falling out about whether or not they should keep it. Or I am reading too much into this 😂
Damn, great animations, really give emotion and story to the otherwise goofy and lifeless employees
This was seriously amazing! This could be an actuall show! It really does show how sad the game truly is or the jiss of it
I'm a lil obsessed with this short, I keep coming back to watch it bwaha

I also really like the fact that the ship keeps filling with mementos of his adventure, the engine block, the robot toy, the rubber ducky, the crate of bottles, they just accumulate over time as a reminder of all the things he did in his adventure.
Wow, I actually didn't notice they stayed throughout the short
It’s even more depressing considering that despite all the stuff they collected, none of the crew would be returning with them. Just an empty ship with spoils of whatever they had collected, but no sign of those that collected them.
@@robala9495 until it’s all vented out in space for a new crew to occupy their very own autopilot ship

I never didnt also know, that a animation - cinema style video of game actually could make me cry about these guys, doing their work and dying for their company.
To think a low poly, small team development game on steam would climb the ranks to be eye to eye with triple a games like CoD, and bring about passion projects like this animation is awsome.
Shed, of a single tear. For a valuable asset to the company. And his fallen comrades.
I noticed you went back to the original game’s giant design and I LOVE IT. I am a finicky person for details and your rendition of lethal is phenomenal
I rewatched this so many times because it gave me a feeling I can’t describe amazing animation

“1 day before quota”
with this cinematic we could say that it is a film or lethal company but in a more realistic version
This is a cinematic masterpiece. People take note, timing something to music can give more emotion, this is a master class of an example.
Top tier animatic, down to blood physics. That's exactly how someone who is bleeding to death bleeds out.
thank you, I made sure to take the time to nail the physics down :)
plot twist: the animator tore off someone’s arm to fact check
@@JoeSmith-qy6qo well yeah, animators need references from somewhere!
every lower octave can represent him losing a teammate until the beat drop where he gets a new crew. Yet he still bares watching all of his friends die, until he joins thems but still tries to stand, he's a literal unit, rip unnamed employee, you were a very, very great asset to the company

Why does this hit so hard?!
Our protagonist was ranked at boss starting a new run. God knows what horrors he went through to get that high up.
My favorite part was when it was fine and dandy until his friend stepped on the landmine, then he was carrying him. Just shows you how fast the dangers can get, and the hardship he had to carry on after that.
Very cool video. I had to watch it 3x, just to see its full detailed work. Very awesome!
