I'd like to see an update on this guy
Best words to hear from a kid eating a healthy meal, "I want more". Total success.
Your friend has a great attitude, willing to try anything.
Love when kids try something vegan and love it. My kids have had some great discoveries on things they never would have tried before. Great video!
I learned recently that plugging your nose while cutting onions prevents the crying. It sounds impossible but IT WORKS!
Mary's Test Kitchen // Vegan Cooking thank you!
Mary's Test Kitchen // Vegan Cooking I wonder if it would work by breathing through your mouth instead of nose. Since you can’t really plug your nose while cutting. Kinda like how wasabi works. If you don’t breath through your nose you’re ok. :)
Yes! That's what I really mean; breathe through your mouth. :-)
I didn't know that about wasabi though. Good tip. I'll try it next time I overload on wasabi. Thanks!
The Vegan Zombie didn't know that about wasabi, thank you
Mary's Test Kitchen // Vegan Cooking What tip I learned about onions is to cut the ends off under cool water. Then take it to the cutting board. Been doing that and it works great.👌💦
Vegan zombie: how easy was that?
The other guy: easy for me, I was just watching :D

If you need a recipe for dough this far into the zombie apocalypse.. you're probably a zombie
Shoxpyre Thanks for this
Both meals looked great...so awesome to see the little ones getting involved. I REALLY like your technique of cutting all the veg in small pieces and mixing them together before putting on the pizza!!😊
13:57 AHH! Metal blades on non-stick cookware. Shame, shame! But no really, I've been vegan for two years and most recipes I see are frustratingly complex to make, so I end up making bland food that I don't enjoy eating. Everything shown here is something I can do, so I'm going to try these out!
Yea part 2! You make it look so quick and easy. Even with not so sharp knifes. And delicious? Of course, you made it!🙌🌱💚
Please introduce, take them out to some good vegan restaurants in the area. It’d be a fun vlog 😊
DreamingTata VeganMama Well most vegan restaurants do oils and salt but that again the paying customer should have the food the way they want it.
You're a great friend
This is so cool to see!! I love that Jay is so open to this.
Fantastic! Loved it! 💕
Definitely a success! Love it.
LOVED this kind of video. Great job for your friend!! Yay
Aww, the girls are adorable!! “I want more” ❤️❤️❤️
Love these videos! They are very helpful!! Please do keep us updated on Jay's progress!
Such a lovely family and so nice of you to be there to guide your friend!
Loved this video. You have such a caring heart. Your friend is blessed to have you in his life!
Yummy and the kids are adorable. So sweet
More of this kind of videos. I get to show them to my non vegan BF. Two manly men eating and approving of vegan food = perfect!!
I've only been vegan for about 4 months now, but I can tell you that you and others with youtube channels have kept me vegan and given me so much inspiration. Thanks so much for your videos.
Love this!
A great help for vegans and thank you
You got your prove right here that it is yummy. Kids will tell ya if it's not to their liking. It looked so yummy and indeed no oils or salt. Prefect. When I use my own tomato sauce I also use onion powder. I use that a lot and it also gives good flavor. Would love to see more of this. Thanks for sharing Chris. And once again good luck Jay. 😉😁
Love this video so much! Looks yummy and can't wait for more content!
Gia's Vegan Kitchen Tasty channel is now doing vegan food which is very cool but some of it is also plant based for vegetarian so now tasty is making optional food..
Great Video.
So exciting I love to teach people things so for me these are very exciting videos!!
Looks good!!!
Awesome video, I hope you will keep us updated on your friend's progress 😃
You’re friend is a natural! Too good’
This is awesome. It’s great to see a recent omni try your no salt vegan dishes. I am always on the lookout for healthy vegan recipes and ideas for what my omni hubs might like. He’s understanding and supportive, and decreasing meat and dairy. Recipes like these help both of us. Thank you!
Great video. I'm craving that pizza now.
Oh boy, looks very good for shure is one new recipe for my family, thanks.
Yes!! ❤️
The pizza looks amazing😍😋
Nice recipe! :)
You did such a good thing by making this vid for your friend, he now can go back and watch it for directions so he knows what to do. That food looks so good! :-)
Looks delicious!! Kid approved!
I hope your friend knows how fortunate he is to have you as a friend. I hope he can keep it up. Good for him!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE INSTANT POTS MEALS
Yummy!!!
Sometimes I feel like my whole life is chopping veggies...
LOL
Best investment in your health
I'm getting my first instant pot today. Very excited. I really love what you did with throwing various things in to make a huge batch. Do I need to get caught up on how must water goes in when it's that much food? I see you used 3 cups of water and basically filled the food up to the max line so I'll try that and hope for the best lol.
Another amazing video. Spreading veganism oh yea. Your just the best. Keep it going.
Your friend Jay looks like Cedric Bixler Zavala. Awesome video, I request measurements vs. eyeballing everything though.
The pressure cook looks like a new one.
The kitty wants some pizza!!
I use a 1:1 ratio with rice. Great video!
Yvonne Behrens Depends on the rice. Basmati and jasmine rice need 1:2 :)
About all I use is Basmati, and sometimes Jasmine. 1:1 seems to work fine for me.
Yvonne Behrens I just eye it. But you have to account for everything else going in the pressure cooker. The quinoa and other veggies.
Yeah.
What time is dinner? 😀
You're the pizza man!!! I'm curious as to what knife set you use? I have the knife in the video! :(
Yvonne M I use Galatine by Edge of Belgravia. Link in description. Best knives I’ve ever used.
Your buddy's lucky to have a friend like you, Chris! Hey, why didn't you rinse off your quinoa??? Just curious. ;)
you think the white miso, liquid aminos is enough of a salt replacement. im about to dive in
“...and that is Fahrenheit” I would hope!! 😂😂 besides my oven only goes to 275C!
meat Ismurder Will do! Thanks! 👍
As a Vegan India 🇮🇳 May I make recipe suggestions like variety of Rice dinner items like Vegan Biryani Pulao Non Dairy carmalise oil recipe another is Khichri recipe Rice Dinner .
I can’t find miso paste at my grocery store. Whereabouts would I find it? Thanks
We have many Asian stores and usually they carry it in the refrigerated section, not Indian, but SE Asian/Chinese stores.
Am I the only one going to the store and buying whole foods and just eat them without making anything because of lazyness? That pizza looks amazing btw, I wish I had the patience to cook.
Someday when we meet you'll have to assist me in trying to make a pizza😉
Chris, if you wanted to add miso in the pot, would you add it at the end, like the nutritional yeast? 😃
Health is Wealth 3 John 2 Yes, exactly
The Vegan Zombie Super!!
Kids don't lie. If it's good, then it's good!! 😀😃😊🥘🍲🍠🍴 Video or no video, kids tell it like it is!! 🍕🍕
Health is Wealth 3 John 2 so true. She loved everything but the broccoli. I’m a grown kid so I don’t lie either.
The Vegan Zombie 😂😉😀
I'm curious about the quinoa, so many sources say to rinse it first, so I'm surprised that you didn't rinse it!
Sometimes I do and even heat it up on a skillet for a bit. That brings out the most flavor. If you don't rinse it, it kinda colors the rest of the food sometimes. it won't hurt you though.
The Vegan Zombie I thought the reason you were supposed to rinse was because of some kind of toxin in the coating. It has made me paranoid, so I always rinse it just in case! 😉
Yeah, I got lazy with that pretty quick. I used to rinse and by all means do it if you want to. But I've eaten many many batches without doing so. I probably should, but I'm fine.
It's not toxic, it could just make it taste a bit bitter. A lot of quinoa is pre-rinsed. although some is not.
Do you know how to do Something else than pizza (home made and not process)?
Wow, that is great, maybe he will get his family to vegan like yours, mine is not.
nice job! Can you come cook at my house? :)
Oh yeah... Guys cooking. Learn all the shortcuts to cooking. Close can be good enough.
What do you call that salad veggie rice dish?
kevinembr I call it delicious! :)
Instant pot rice and veggies.
The Vegan Zombie I think that idea is amazing and totally inspiring. I've often put vegetables in with my rice in my rice cooker but I never thought to expand it to so many different kinds of vegetables. Sounds like a wonderful idea, I wonder if that would work in a rice cooker also because I don't have a pressure cooker not sure if sweet potatoes would cook all the way through. Looks absolutely delicious. This is a really great example to show people how easy it is to make something incredibly nutritious and easy.
"Should've brought my knives with me."
GET BETTER KNIVES, JAY :D
You can come cook at my house anytime. 😉
DULL KNIFE :/ I feel for ya! That's never fun.
The worst!
When I use to look at my watch, it was actually brain overload. Funny enough. Too much information too fast. So I would look at my watch because I needed a break. That was when I was younger though. Some people actually do have places to be. Ha.
TheaDragonSpirit lol
The only thing home made you do is pizza crust
@4:40 I've never been so triggered lol poor guy :|
Way to call out your bro and his dull knifes in front of his own spawn bro! Nice recipes though ;)
Hi! Sorry to bother, but I have a question. Have you read the plant paradox? Are you like me getting tired about hearing things like gluten, lectin, etc attacking our bodies? I understand if you have been diagnosed with specific diseases/genetic vulnerabilities that this is a problem, but for the general population I think we need to take a step back once in awhile and breathe. I appreciate that you show us unique healthy diets and would like your take on this; if you have time. I am a healthcare professional and hate the fact that everyday I am told something different (media) needs to change in order for me to live a healthier life lol. I do try, but am growing tired of chasing the dragon. Medical data (used in practice) is eons behind, only because cold hard data is required to make it legal to make these recommendations from an institution. Just wondering your take on this ongoing battle of media vs science?? Thanks!!
Hey, I'm at a friend's place but I've decided to insult his belongings(?).
We appreciate the recipe, but mind your manners.
Why do you title your diet "no oil"? You don't eat avocados or nuts either right? You should probably just say "low fat" because no oil is misleading and makes it sound like you just...don't eat oil lol, which a lot of vegans don't, but I've never heard of anyone saying whole nuts or avocados = oil haha
