The temptation is to compose music to demonstrate virtuosity. Classical music can go much further, and I feel harmony is the most stable and powerful force that exists in our reality. In fact, it is the force that creates our reality. Nihilists indulge in apparent chaos, but Creation is not the work of chaos, but of pre-existing harmony. It’s not something you can prove or believe in, it’s something you feel. It doesn’t need virtuosity, it needs attention. Harmony is a wind that strips chaos and its mirages. Harmony reveals a mysterious and beautiful mathematics, which I enjoy endlessly.
