Great to see them bringing back the Demon kit, I’ve never been able to find that kit online or in hobby stores. I love how Round2 is trying to revitalize MPC as a brand and bring back a lot of cool cars they haven’t made as kits since the 70s. Gives me hope that they might bring back the 70-71 Cyclone kit like someone in the video was talking about. I just built the retooled Coronet kit and it was probably one of the best engineered kits I’ve put together in a while.
Thank you for your point of view. I hear so much bad-mouthing Round2 for their new kits coming out. I totally agree with you. Thanks for watching and commenting👍
@@ScaleModelExperiment I’d say even MPC’s worst kits have value, because they allow the experienced modelers to take them and make them good. Or their flaws can be easily fixed with kit-bashing with another one of their kits.
I always liked MPC. They seem to maintain a good quality, whereas AMT can be spotty - some very good, others less so.
@@lancerevell5979 👍 I’m glad you’re having fun building.
@@ScaleModelExperiment I just recently was given an original mpc 82 cavalier type 10 hatchback kit. I'm so far impressed with the detail of the dash and such, and the fitment of parts from a kit from 82.
I'd love to see some of Dave Deals models come back.
Hi Rob, thanks for watching. I’m sure they will eventually be reissued someday.👍
So many goodies, keeps adding to my never ending "want" list
Isn't it crazy Carousel? The more we have the more we want... Thanks for watching.
Nice!!!! I look forward to the Ford pick ups. OOOhhh The Poison Pinto. I've wanted another one of those for years!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing James.
Hi Mike, I was wondering what that car was! Thanks for watching bud.
Man, this brings back memories. I grew up with Monogram, Revell, AMT and MPC.
Never heard of Atlantis.
Hi Joe, Atlantis bought some older molds from Revell a while back and is bringing them back out now. Thanks for watching.
@Joe Schlotthauer........Atlantis was the manufacturer of the monster and horror kits back in the 60's and 70's.......
Monster kits....Aurora.
Some great kits coming out! Very exciting
It was great to meet you at the NNL show
I hope you had a safe trip home
Be safe and happy building
Thanks for the great videos
Thank you Tim, like wise 👍 I got home at 1am this morning.
Awesome.
Thanks for sharing 😊.
Have a great day.
Thanks for watching big Charlie! You too bud.
Nice! Thanks for sharing James. 😎🇨🇦
Thanks for watching Peter👍
Never know who you will run into at these shows. Thanks for sharing...
That’s for sure Colonel, I met a whole bunch of my viewers and some CZcamsrs I’ve watched but never met. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for uploading this. There’s some great stuff to look forward too. The F100 and El Camino with campers look really cool, pure nostalgia!
Thanks for watching Antithesis👍 I’m glad they have something that excites you coming out.
Oh, some of those are "gotta have". Thanks James
For sure Rick! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the preview. Looking forward for more.
Hi Ed, I uploaded the vendor area tour last night. Make sure to check that one out. It's fun to virtual shop.
FINALLY. An accurate Mustang Boss 351. Up until now, nobody has gotten the roofline, and C-pillar angles right. Either the roof has been too "flat" (with no arch to be seen...) or the windows have been too short in length... This is the first visually "right" version of the 71-73 Mustang body, that I've seen. I'll definitely be purchasing this one. Probably several, as a matter of fact.
Right Curtis? It’ll be a beautiful model! I’m doing mine in grabber lime.
The 71 Demon and Revell 1971 Boss Mustang really caught my eye. Great video!
Hi Jeremey, I'll definitely be getting both of them! Thanks for watching.
Yup yup! Good times!
Thanks for watching Paul!
That’s awesome, thanks for showing us
Thank you Marcos for watching👍
I'm finishing the MPC Sod Buster 4X4 pickup truck kit now. Need to see more of those aircraft kits.
What do you think of the sod buster kit? I don’t own it.
It's pretty good. No difficulties. Has a few optional parts. The large decals worked well, not too thin or too thick. I painted it gold, rather than yellow like the box art, as Chris (HPIGuy on YT) had done the same and it looked good.
Great stuff!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching Treeline!
Thank you so much for sharing sir. I appreciate it some very nice kits hitting the market.
Absolutely Big Eddie, thanks for watching 👍
Some cool stuff!
Thanks for watching Red, I agree!
Thanks for sharing.🤓👍
Thanks for watching👍 Much appreciated!
Super Bee and Dodge Demon will have 5 sales each here. 2 of my favorite kits along with the Duster kits. My Uncle had 2 Dusters and a Demon back in the day and his brother my other Uncle (Lol) had a 70 Roadrunner and a Super Bee along with his Hemi-Cuda. They were true Mopar Junkies lol Each of their Wives had contributed their cars to the collection and both liked to race them as well (The Roadrunner was my Aunt Jamies and Aunt Lindsey had a "Souped up" Duster which later got replaced by another Demon). My Mother had 2 Galaxies one was an older 65 or 66 that wound up getting a race package (A lot of work) and used for Race the other was a 70 I think and was a daily driver. My other 2 Uncles were all Chevy guys one had a 67 vette and the other had 2 Mustangs both Boss one had the 429 and they always set up family race days at a local track with cookouts and the works. Their friends would join in with their families and showdowns became a thing lol. Great times the 70's as a young kid.
Wow, that's a cool story. I'm sure they will make plenty for you and everyone else. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing. Super excited to see the demon. May have to get a few 😅
Thanks for watching Chris, I’m excited for it too!
Awesome James! Great video at the NNL East biggie! You're already making a name for yourself ! I'm proud of you, friend!!!!
Thanks Ray, I’ll always be the same guy you know. Things are really starting to happen with the SME now.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching TI👍
Very cool video.
Thanks for watching Jon!
Oh, I NEED that 280ZX Turbo! And, my son in law has a mid 90s Bronco... so much goodness coming!
Thanks for watching JD. The 280ZX is a reissue, but I still kinda want one too!
Lot of stuff that I'm glad to see. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Alan, I agree 👍
Like those early 60s Ford Pickups too..
Thanks for sharing! I absolutely love the campers and boats plus seeing the duster dragster body coming out again. Heck they all looked like thell be great additions.
Thanks for watching Model Restorations. It is all good stuff coming. It seems that these days a camper or trailer sells more kits.
Great show. I plan on going next year!
I’ll be there too. It’s a great show.
Great video. We definitely have some awesome stuff coming soon. Thanks for the preview.
Absolutely Michael! Thanks for watching bud👍
Love the Demon and Ford trucks. I still have an original Demon I built in the early seventies. Round 2 is on a roll. As an old guy, I must say it's like being a kid again. I agree with one another here that a 1970 or 71 Cyclone would be great. I would love to see Round 2 bring back the 1965 and 66 Barracuda's and 1965 Dodge Monaco. Who knows, could happen!
Thanks for watching Jay, you never know what they are planning at AMT….
Thanks for the look seen a few I will be looking for to come out . 👍
I’m really excited for the Demon myself and maybe the Datsun 280z and the GTO.
@@ScaleModelExperiment yes on the Demon
Nice kits coming out! Like the Demon and the 90's Chevy trucks......thanks for sharing James
Thanks for watching Jeff, I’m super excited for the Demon too👍
Awesome, please bring back the Vandal or Vambulance.
Thanks for watching Lester👍
Sweet kits coming out. I need to build the stash as I prepare for retirement in a few years.
Thanks for watching Q👍
Like that 71 Boss 351 Mustang..
Definitely getting the COBRA and the Green Hornet car and turning them into slot cars 😎
Green Hornet slot car? That would be unique! Thanks so watching 👍
wow inspiration @ its best thanks buddy 😅🤣
That’s for sure Scooter, thanks for watching 👍
Hells Yeah! I can't wait for them❤
Hi Shawn, there is some good stuff coming. You’ll love the swap meet video I’m uploading now brother 👍
@Scale Model Experiment Hell Yeah thanks James 😊
Cool video
Thanks Travis👍
Dude!!!!! Demon sweet
Imagine that… someone with a user name of evil one likes a Demon😆. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for this preview James, some nice kits coming along the way there. Always great to attend such a show and thanks for the video as we can see the experience too ☺️ did I hear that guy well.. that you're still into cannibalism? 😅😂
Thanks Karl, that was my buddy Jeff voice bombing my recording. You’re the r only one who caught that so far! LOL
@@ScaleModelExperiment Haha, yeah I watch these videos with audio on as I like to hear the comments going around and caught by the camera! I'll see the other video later, keep up the great work my friend 👍🏼
It’s all just noise to me… lol
The 71 Demon is on my wish list..
Thanks for sharing James 👍Seen a lot of goodies (mostly Revell) that will end up in my stash.
I’m looking forward to seeing you build that Mustang Bruno! Thanks for watching bud👍
@@ScaleModelExperiment definitely on my wishlist 👍
Whoa. Green Hornet on 1/25 the scale With Figurines. !!
Hi Walt, thanks for watching! Yes, that should be a really nice kit 👍
@@ScaleModelExperiment You're Welcome. I'm Excited They're Both Tooling New kits. & Bring ng Back Kit too Long Gone like Jeep CJ & Dodge Demon. Can't buy Fast Enough to Keep up 😞 n Limited and income
@@memorylanemodelcars both are going to be great additions to my collection as well Walt. Thanks again for your support👍
I love the 71 dodge demon and trucks. However everybody seems to ignore the 1970 Buick Wildcat. I cannot wait for it to show up at my model shop.
Hi Peter, that’s another good one for them to reissue! I’ll pass that along. Thanks for watching.
Did I see a 53 foot reefer trailer and a tanker trailer? I see some new semi kits in my future. I already have the old release of the dump truck but a new release won’t hurt a thing 😂😂. Great video. Thought I heard Throttlepower Tim in the video too. Lol. Thanks for the video.
Hi Bruce, I’m not sure about the trucks coming out. I don’t think Tim was there this time.
thanks James for the video…. was not expecting the Dodge Demon at all
Thanks for watching Sean, I’m glad you enjoyed the surprise. Make sure to support the model companies and we will see more coming.
This video popped up in my recommended list. The Jeep CJ Golden Hawk caught my eye as being close enough to the Santini Air jeep from Airwolf. What caught my ear was someone mentioned Stark County, OH but I couldn't make out the context, lol. I grew up there, so that was a nice surprise. :) Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching Dennis👍 there was a contest last weekend in Stark county. That’s probably what they were talking about.
Like the 82 Bronco..
Sweet kits james thanks for sharing wish I could have joined you guys this is Tim stuper
You missed out brother! Maybe next year.
I remember building the Peterbilt California Hauler over the winter of '69/'70 , but it didn't have a sleeper on it back then . Wonder if it still has the green tinted lenses for the lights and possibly the windows ?
Hi Bob, thanks for watching 👍 to be honest I don’t know the answer to that. I’m not a truck guy.
Those Ford trucks are awesome looking..I wonder about the new box art..
We shall see Scott! Thanks for watching👍
Great stuff! thanks for posting. Loving the Demon like everybody else. Was hoping you would zoom in on the front end of the 65 GTO to see if they fixed the headlights or are we getting the same ones that are in the current GTO kit. Did you happen to notice? Thanks again.
The new GTO will have separate headlights. Thanks for watching.
Great video, I was wondering how long it'd be before Round2 starting chasing the 61-66 pickup stuff, as clearly Moebius was headed that way. Biggest thing about that is Round2 has the unibody series, where Moebius has regular cab/bed construction. REGARDLESS, I'm grateful to see them work at bringing back items long thought lost!!
Hi James, thanks for watching. I think that you’re on to something there. Mobieus has made a killing on those Fords.
@@ScaleModelExperiment Yep, but they were the ones who put in that effort/time into a 'market void', just like with the Hudson, Belvedere, etc. before it sold.
I have been building more pickup truck kits lately. I grew up with the 1960s/1970s trucks, so lean towards them more than the newer years.
I have a 61 F100 long bed Integral Cab (Ford's name for it, but most people these days call them "unibody") that I've put over 600K miles on since I bought it in 1976. The 428CJ I put in in 1989 is very tired now and waiting to get rebuilt. So I will DEFINITELY be buying an AMT 63 and it will be getting a 61 grille. I have an old 61 in my display case to copy from.
That's awesome shopping James ! Thanks for this video, there were tons of old rare models there! Some priced outrageously according to today's inflation crisis were having. 200 bucks for that Rebel Machine you're building? Wow!!!😨
Hi Ray, You and your brother probably already have most of the rare stuff that was at the show. Thanks for watching bud!
looks like some possibly cool stuff coming
You got that right Justin. What caught your eye?
@@ScaleModelExperiment As much as I dislike AMT, the dodge Demon looks really good, as does the Revell Torino. And if that Cobra is a new tool that would be nice. If it's just another re-pop then meh. it's been a long time since there's been an updated Cobra.
The Revell Cobra is a reissue. What did you think of the Mustang? I’m getting a Mustang and a Demon.
@@ScaleModelExperiment I'm not a Mustang fan. Something about them always bugged me. It took me years to figure it out. It's the stance. The way the front end points up just feels off.
I've been tempted to grab something like that mustang though, and see what it would look like with a lowered front end and maybe some chunky tires in back.
@@JHartModelworks pro tour that baby! Low stance with low profile tires.
Like that 57 Cadillac...
Thanks for watching Tom! 👍
I may have to get both of those Chevy trucks to create the 1500 extended cab I used to have.
Very cool! Thanks for watching 👍
Quite a few I need to add to the stash when they come out.
Which did you like Rob? I’m getting the Demon, new Bronco and 71 Mustang.
Demon especially, 71 Mustang and the 60 Ford pickup.
They are bringing back the Alaska hauler ?! I drove one for hill and hill ! About 10 years ago I got into a bidding war for the model on EBay and paid a bit over $200 for it will never build it sitting up on the shelf . Now I can buy one and assemble.
Hi Jhon, thanks for watching. I don’t know much about trucks. It looks like a cool kit though. Yes, it’s time to build one like the one you had.
Pretty cool kits coming out! Do you think the 3D printed kits will take over soon, or are the model companies safe?! Just a question I've been thinking about lately.
Hi Jeff, I believe that 3d printed kits are the future but a lot of us old folks prefer a shelf of kits over a hard drive of files. It’s hard to tell what the future holds for us. Thanks for watching👍
Looking forward in getting one of those 67 Chevelle's whish someone would come out with a 64 Chevelle or El Camino, wish AMT would put those little kit boxes back in the kits
Thanks for watching Brian. I’ll relay your message about the little boxes.
I wish AMT would make a real 64 Galaxie with a detailed chassie with add on exhaust and front and rear suspension. And also the 63 Galaxie too. I bought the 64 Galaxie way back in 64 when AMT first brought it out.. It had working headlights. But I hated the chassis with everything molded in even back then.
Hi Steve, I’ve been told with just a little bit of work that the 60 Ford Starliner chassis works well under the 63 and 64 Ford Galaxie kits.
Well I was gonna reply the same. I already have 3 of the 1960s set aside for 63 Galaxy, 64 Galaxy and 64 Mercury Marauder.
HOTDOG BRING OUT ALL MY FAVORITE MODEL KITS CAN,T WAINT. TILL THEY ARE ABLE TO BUY
Thanks for watching Ronnie, they should all be out this year 👍
Oh oh oh Demon oh man I need 6 of those hope the scoop aren't required mine didn't have any not sure the difference 71-72. 60 vette👍dang where's the freightliner
The scoops on the Demon were seperate pieces. I didn't show it but the underhood is also detailed.
Please ask them to put the 1957-1959 hoods with the 1960 ford pick .
Will do Roger! Thanks for watching 👍
Is the bronco a full detail kit or curbside
The new style bronco is a curbside but has full chassis detail.
Was that the poison pinto on the Atlantis table
I think so Carl, someone else mentioned that it was that car.
With model kits costing $30-$40 each, I had better start saving now because there are several models in this video that are must-haves!
That’s for sure Daniel. Thanks for watching 👍
I see a 71 demon gasser in the future!
A Demon what? lol I’m building mine stock 👍
Boose Wee!!
I assume that’s the slot car sound?
@@ScaleModelExperiment "Bruce Lee" ;)
When is the now Bronco available?
Hi Al, I believe that the new Bronco is in its final test shots so it should be soon.
What is that white plastic car that looks like a Capri @ 8.00 minute mark? So many cool kits coming in the near future and not enough room to hoard 'em all 😂
I’m not sure what this is coming from Atlantis. Looks cool though.
@@ScaleModelExperiment I think it could be either a Ford Pinto or Mustang II.
Someone else said poison pinto.
If they are releasing the Demon they should release the the Duster
I would bet that the Duster will be reissued as well for those who want to do the conversion. Or, buy it. Is before the market goes nuts on them.
So is the Datsun 280Z..
I’d love to be able to contact someone at Revell and give them my ideas of models, that I’d like to see.
I recommend leaving your comments on the model cars magazine forums. The folks at Revell and Round2 do read there.
Awesome. Thank You.
280 Z, Wow
Hi Paul, I know that’s it’s a reissue kit but I’m interested in seeing it built. The Tamiya one is pretty basic.
I wonder why nnl North doesn't have a turnout like that
I know, right? I wish every show was this big. Thanks for watching!
Yeah Dodge Demon was Gone forever !
Only available to deep pocket people and resin casters. I’m glad to have it back. Thanks for watching 👍
Cool to see the 63 f100 and 65 chevelle..but cmon AMT, what's the real reason why they can't come out with 64 chevelles and el caminos? Maybe revell should look into doing such kits. Otherwise the offerings are getting stale.
Hi Chris, I’ll pass your idea on to AMT for you. Thanks for watching 👍
@@ScaleModelExperiment they have been re-issuing that kit for years. And if you have the yellow construction el camino box art...you can see its a 64. There are more chevelle n el camino model years than 1965. Sometimes I think AMT fails to understand that.
Nice video, there's a lot of good stuff there. The thing that bothers me a little has nothing to do with the models that are coming out though. When you look at the line of people waiting to get in there aren't any youngsters there. It's all an older group. I've been building models all my life and I'm in my 70s. The younger generation doesn't seem to care for it. Where is this hobby headed?
This point has been made for the past 10 years. The younger generation has a different mindset than we (I’m 53) have. Everything these days is quick instant gratification. Models take patience planning and a learned set of skills. This is why we are seeing more easy low part count kits coming from Revell for cars that the younger gen may be interested in. The hobby is flourishing now with the use of 3d printing and it may survive because of it. Video game cars can be reproduced in CAD and printed. However full detail kits seem to be going away to curbside type kits. That’s just my .02 and I’m sure others will have their own opinions.
I just lost weight by watching this video, mostly in my wallet area!!! Man can't wait to get a few of those.
My pockets are empty after the vendor area yesterday. Wait till you see that video! Thanks for watching 👍
No R2 sci fri?😳
Jman
The NNL is an automotive contest/show.
Thanks for watching Robert. Like John said, this was automotive focused.
So much for the hobby being dead.😂 There's a lot of nice kits on those tables.
That’s the truth Donnie, and there is more to come! Thanks for watching 👍
The days of 300 dollar demons are going soon lol
That’s the truth! I had resin bodied ones in the past and paid more than the kit will cost. Thanks for watching 👍
2023 can’t we get better spoked wheels on these dragsters?
Are you talking about the kits on the Atlantis table? I'm pretty sure that those are old Monogram molds.
Actually, I DO recognize that laugh. czcams.com/video/RMyJOCt7xMg/video.html
Uh, that’s not the right lady… lol
AMT...I remember late 50s waiting for AMT to bring the new car models. Of the 50s. I remember building a latest Pontiac and Chevy.
I wasn’t born till 69 but I have heard about the promo models from the 50’s. It was a good time to be a modeler. Thanks for watching 👍
Fleetline only
Come on Fred... No Dodge Demon for you? Thanks for watching.
So you have the B bodies '70 coupe; and the '68 'vert; can we please get a '68 Dodge Coronet coupe with the 500 or R/T rear taillight bezels? There used to be a '68 Coronet drag car, that mold would be perfect - I think it was an MPC - built up real nice when I was a kid. I shot it in a candy flake lime green. Doesn't seem like 50 years ago.....🕰
I’m pretty sure the hardtop is coming from AMT for the 68 Coronet R/T.
@@ScaleModelExperiment that would be cool. Will it cost $14 like it did a few years ago? lol I was just remembering (as a squirt I bought a '68 500 coupe before I got my 1st new car the 'Cuda) Dodges used to have vinyl roofs - the White Hat boys and all; I remember some model kits had a little sheet of crack-n-peel textured black you could cut and paste onto roofs for vinyl look. If you were nuts you could cut the little sheets to match the damn seam in the real roof! I did it on a '68 Bonneville if I recall....lol. But how cheap would it be for Round 2 to stock up on cheap crack n peel textured paper/vinyl to chop up and drop in those 60s-70's vinyl days car kits! 🎸
I’m sure that it’ll cost more than $14🤪 I had a kit once with that vinyl top material in white. I didn’t use it though. Take care and thanks for watching.
Wow what a motley crew ,waiting in line! Neat stuff coming out ! Real Batmobile, nice ! Manufacturers are real car guys you can tell, actually putting out stuff we NEED!
Nice job James! Show coverage to come I assume?😎✌️🫡🇺🇸
Thanks for watching Kevin, yes they certainly are car guys behind it all. The vendors video is a little longer. It’ll be up soon.
