3rd place. Car looked great! ✌
Hi Jeff, thanks for watching, I didn’t spend too much this time. My stash is getting out of control again so I have to restrain myself.
Just about any of the semi truck kits.😊
Fantastic builds on the tables.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Big Charlie👍 I had no idea of the following of big truck models until I started doing YT. Not my thing, but still very cool.
@ScaleModelExperiment do you have one of my shop cards? 🤔

Cool picks Mike, I know you have a really good collection of kits both built and unbuilt. I’d prefer to shop at your place 😜

Thanks for watching Keith. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
Congratulations on the hardware and I wish that I could have been there James ❤😊
Thanks Shawn, PA would be quite a trip for you. You should attend NNL East for an amazing show.
@ScaleModelExperiment my son lives in upstate New York and I was up there last month for a couple of weeks and it's beautiful up there!
@@thescalemodelcarguychannel8681 East is the show you want to attend. Biggest in the country.
Lots of great builds on the tables. Congratulations on your awards. Well deserved. I did see a few kits that caught my eye. I would like to have the trash truck, the bulldozer with trailer, the snowplow, and the AMT big wrecker. But, I’m sure I will get them someday. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Michael, thanks for watching 👍 I’ve noticed quite a few people comment on those trash trucks. Kinda cool…
Awesome video
Thanks Travis!
Man James, there are a bunch of kits I would love to have that I saw. Wish I could have been at that one!
Hi Groove, yes that is a good show for deals. Maybe you can make it sometime. Thanks for watching👍
Nice array of kits...
Yes sir👍
69 AMX, Pacer Wagon, and 63 Lincoln. There were lots more, but those would be the top three.
Coming from an AMC fan that doesn’t surprise me 😂. Thanks for watching👍
Assuming they are new or at least unbuilt and complete. The Testers Ferrari Daytona GTS Spider, the Jo-Han Chrysler Turbine Car, rare kit. The Revell XKE if it’s 1/25 or 1/24 Scale, tempted on the AMT 59 El Camino, the Revell 57 Cad Eldorado Brouham, rare kit. GrandpaMarks Hobbies just finished one. The Monogram 40 Ford Truck, Revell Austin Healey, AMT 37 Chevy Coupe, the Monogram 54 Chev Bel Air, I’ve been looking for one for a long time. There’s probably more. Congratulations on your trophy for the 50 Ford Convertible. It’s a beauty.
Wow, you would have spent a lot at the show! Thanks for watching 👍
Sharp builds too!!
Glad you enjoyed the video Tom👍
Thanks for sharing, wish I could have gone
thanks for taking the time to film this…it is appreciated!
Hi Steve, I had to pick one or the other show to attend this weekend. I hear that YCity was a good show too.
Congratulations with the Rewards James, very well earned them. What would i buy. 1 the Pace-car package with the corvettes,we never had them in europe.2 I did see on the Italerie shelf a few tractors wich i certainly would buy when they offered me those here in spain. And when i had the money for it,i would do a clean sweep, and see later what i had bought.To-many to chose from.
I forget sometimes that people from around the world don’t get the chance to buy second hand American kits like we do here. I feel the same way about the Japanese kits I love. They are super cheap in Japan. Take care and thanks for watching 👍
Looks like a good show!! I'd love to go out and vend there, but at 4 hours it's outside the range for an up and back the same day show.
Hi Dave, it was a 2 hour trip for me. It’s a good small show to attend. I hope you can make it sometime.
Man, I can't watch these video's, make's me sick I can't go to show's. Sad part of living in the middle of no where and 100 mile to somewhere... All those kits... 😭
LLAP 🖖
I know the feeling Bruce. It was a 2 hour drive to PA today. It was fun to see friends, shop and compete. Thanks for watching 👍
Too many kits to choose from😳,tho I'm leaning towards trying a Tamiya build soon. Nice to see hardware for your efforts 👍
I feel that you will be amazed when you build a Tamiya kit. Precision fit and instructions for painting are amazing. Put in the time and you will be rewarded even just box stock.
Very nice builds on display, good variety too. As for the kits, assuming the box contents etc. and price meet my view on the matter...oh boy long comment incoming😂 The ones that caught my eye immediately: Color Me Gone, gotta have another buick GN kit, the Tamiya Tyrrell Honda 020, Mclaren M8A and Lola T160, AMT Bugatti type 59, the old AMT indycar kits (gurney/jourgensen and bobby unser eagles, rutherford mclaren), the olsonite eagle, the Nissan Skyline 2000 turbo, the MPC 72 Roadrunner, the Revell Trans Am/IMSA Mustangs, the Don Schumacher 74 Vega, boffem Mac Tools Lola Buick indycar kits, the Revell 66 Penske 'Vette, the AMT 71 Dodge Charger and probably the Petty Torino and Benetton B188 kits as well 😂
Wow, you’d have a pile to kits to take home with you after all that shopping👍. Thanks for watching !
@@ScaleModelExperiment In reality it would probably narrow down to the ones that I've evaluated to be a good deal and/or I think I'm unlikely to come across anytime soon for the price...However, were I actually visiting stateside I'd first focus on the stuff that's practically unobtainium over here where I live -> The indycar, IMSA, Trans Am race car kits, some AMT kits like the Bugatti etc. and worry about how to get them back home after the show 🤣
Now to get back to catching up on your recent build series videos.
@@RLRSwanson I totally understand 👍 thanks again for watching.
What would I buy? Do you have a couple hours? We could be here all day listing kits I'd like to add to my stash.
Haha Rob, I totally understand. For me, having too many kits is a curse. They stare me down and yell at me to build them. Lol. My name is James and I am a model kit hoarder with 300 unbuilt kits.
First time sending a comment to you, finally learned how to send through my fire stick. You did a very nice job on the 50 Ford. And... after watching tons of swap meet videos on CZcams I FINALLY saw a monogram 66 red flip nose Malibu, wondering how much? (MODEL CAR)(MAN CAVE)
Hi MCMC thanks for watching and dropping a comment. I’m not sure how much that kit was at the show. Wasn’t that kit just reissued lately?
@@ScaleModelExperimentWOW, just saw this, that new release mainly covers the black 66 Malibu flip-nose. I always liked the rims on the red one, that was the first kit I ever build in the late seventies.
I’m buying the soft seal kit….
Hi Terry, thanks for watching. I’ve seen those kits go up in value over the years. Maybe you’ll find one at a show.
Avanti, Amc pacer, Amc Rambler, Ford pinto, Chevrolet monza
Funny, I bought an Avanti 😜
Damn I was thinking of getting back into building model's again since I'm retired 🤔 . Growing up I've built 100'S of models it was one of my favorite hobbies but ever since I haven't built any in many many years I haven't up to date with the price of one now a days and I have to say there is a BIG price difference from back then 🤭 living on a fixed income don't think I'd be able to afford one today WoW 😳 . Watching these videos and seeing how their done is Amazing right down to the last detail , I wasn't that good at building model's , if I didn't know they were models you would think it was a real car that's how awesome they look 😳 .
I have to at least find a store I can buy one and see how I can do with it 🤢 , First time watching yours or anyone's video like this and have to say really enjoyed them so thank you so much for sharing now to see where the closest place to grab one 👍🤟✌️🍺
Welcome back to the hobby George. It’s a great one to be involved in. I’ve been building for close to 30 years now and still learn new tricks and techniques. I try to share on this channel what I’ve learned. Thanks for watching and check out my other videos.
I live in Altoona PA I should go next time
It’s not a huge show, but it’s a good day to hang out with other like minded folks.
I have built approximately 100 AMT and Revell kits over the past 8 years. Then I discovered Tamiya, highly detailed , everything just goes together beautifully. These are now my go to kits.
Welcome to my addiction John 😜. Thanks for watching.
I would like to know when it comes back to Pittsburgh again I only live a hour away
Hi Ron, I think that there is an events calendar on Model Cars Magazine Forums. Or search 3 Rivers auto modelers on Facebook.
I have the second generation 1/8 scale Jag XKE Coupe, the yellow one, I'm 59 years old and started building the engine when I was maybe?, 13 otherwise it's untouched, I have a bunch of built and unbuilt kits spanning 50 years unfortunately I have not had the patience to build one in almost 40 years!, I'd be curious to see what some of them are worth.
It’s time to get back to building Tim! Thanks for watching👍
AMT released a Lexus LS kit???? I have something new to hunt for!
Just a reboxed version of the Aoshima kit.
I had no idea, thanks for chiming in James.
First thing I look for are Pontiac fieros. No surprise there...lol. Then I would get the Chrysler turbine, Ferrari testarossa and Daytona spider because Miami vice. The Ferrari 308. Then I would have a talk with my wallet because I’m going to go broke on about a dozen more...lol . Hey that fiero at the show has the engine in the wrong place...lol.
Hi Onix, my wallet and I often disagree😂. You’re right about that pro street car! Lol
Lots of choices but the prices seem awfully high for some. I don't understand the kit market so are those prices fair, to high, deals?
Hi John, thanks for watching. The market is the market… if it is a kit that multiple people are selling then the lowest price gets sold first. Highest price goes home with the seller. It pays to shop around and check online sales before buying at shows. I usually find some bargains with poor boxes or open/complete kits at reduced prices.
@@ScaleModelExperiment thanks for the explanation. Makes sense.
SHO MISS DA DAYS OF AN AFFORDABLE HOBBY
NO WONDER DA UTE OF TODAY PLAYS VIDEO GAMES.
You’re so right. The kits sold for cheap really aren’t geared for kids so they build those and never come back.
mpc chevy fleetside fire pick up 75 pontiac sprint mpc 71 roadrunner
Intererting choices grail hunter. thanks for watching 👍
@@ScaleModelExperiment James what three would have you picked
@model-grail-kit-hunter alright, here you go: Ferrari f430 challenge at 6:06, T-Top 78 Camaro at 9:42, jaguar convertible at 11:19. I know the Ferrari was $80 but I don’t know how much the others were.
Tamiya F1
Very cool Outfield👍
