Everyone should have a friend who is so caring and full of love
Your friend and family are very blessed to have you.
So they can be used n worn tf out?
I am 71 years old and my husband is 77 years old. Needless to say I am the caregiver. Your videos have been so helpful to me. Thankfully I have a freezer in the garage and I have been filling it with your recipes! I do have to adjust a few things due to tender tummies! LOL When I don't feel like cooking I grab Becky's freezer meals. Thank you so much for your gift of sharing and giving your knowledge.
If you want your blueberries to remain suspended in your batter, rather than falling to the bottom, toss them in a little bit of flour before mixing them in. You'll get a much better distribution/ratio per muffin.
Thank you Becky, I now make ahead freezer meals. I'm 64 and adopted my granddaughter and your videos and recipes make my life so much easier!
Aw that warms my heart! Thanks for sharing that with me!
What a lovely thing to do for you and your granddaughter xx
I am raising my beautiful and amazing granddaughter as well. She is truly a blessing and so very smart. I'm grateful she is in my life.
I was not having a great day until now!!! Thank u for your videos they bring me so much joy!!@@AcreHomestead
@@Cori-se9ww well that’s a lovely thing to do , not always easy but such a blessing , my two young grandsons. Are like the best medicine , the loudest beat in my heart , the reason the sun shines xx
My FAVORITE type of Becky videos!!
Is mine too!
Me too!
I think by the popular videos these type are in the most popular. I so look forgot to a new one and she says she never cooks the same way we can hope for many more!!!
@wendy3437 I hope so. It is what brought me to her channel a couple years ago. The only videos I don't watch are lives but that's true of all youtubers and q & as are hit and miss for me. So I otherwise will never not watch one. But these are my faves. I also really enjoy her harvesting and preserving videos
Breakfast prep are my fav, I always need freezer meal ideas
Becky, I know you are one busy lady these days. But I hope you will someday do a cookbook with all your wonderful freezer meals and regular receipts for all your upcoming cooks to know how easy it is to make homemade meals. You make things look so good and easy. I'm an older lady and you have given me so many good ideas. Keep up the great work that you do. Take care and hugs to your little family.
Prayers
She does have a website - scratch pantry - and the best part is Josh improved it and you can print the recipes in larger font which helps me out!
Thanks for sharing.
these aren't her own recipes, she's linked what she used in the description
You can't make a cookbook out of other people's recipes. She links the recipes.
You are totally amazing Becky. I throughly enjoy watching you in your kitchen as you plan and make all your make ahead meals and recipes. I’m 80 years young, still do all our meals from scratch and my husband, also 80, grows a wonderful organic garden every year which provides our whole family and many friends with beautiful produce all summer and into early fall here in So Cal. Thank you for all you share with us, I truly admire you and wish all the best for you and your precious little family. You’ve probably heard the old saying that says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Well that’s not true, because I’ve really learned a lot from you!
Yay a Becky video food prep. I'm laying in a hospital bed feeling tired and sore (kidney and cancer issues) and this video has made my stay better
Praying for you! I hope you enjoy the video :)
Prayers for you to feel better ❤
Prayers for a speedy recovery.
@@robertlavigne6560 thank you
Be healed in the name of Jésus-Christ sister !
Blessings +++!!!
phew! I’m exhausted for you. You are such a kind soul Becky. We all are so lucky to have you in our lives. 💕
Love these longer “cook with me “ videos! Thank you so much for sharing your recipes ❤😊
When I saw you cutting that basil, I thought it would be a great idea to use your grow room to start herbs in the late summer, so you could have fresh herbs all winter. You could plant them out in the garden once spring comes again if you didn't want to have to keep up with them. A greenstalk herb garden in that sunny, frost free room would be amazing!
“Homegrown, homemade apple sauce” is such a flex. So fun to watch your videos!
❤❤❤
I love listening to you talk. It's like visiting with my best friend. Thanks for keeping me company.
To save on freezer space, I make up a huge pot of carmelized onions and pressure canned them, they are wonderful! I put them in jelly jars so I wouldn't have too much at a time and in works perfectly.
Toss your fresh blueberries in a sprinkling of flour to keep blueberries from falling to bottom of baked goods. 😊❤
Hi Becky , you always talk about your fondness for caramellized onions, and I recently read a book that suggested adding a pinch of baking soda because onions cook and caramellize faster in an alcaline enviromnment. I tried it myself and it actually really speeds things up . I just wanted to let you know. Have a nice day!
❤❤❤
You are so Kind Becky 🥰
Cooking food to your friends, What a kind/nice person you are and lucky your friend that she have you.

Your friend is blessed to have you in their life. A good friend is worth more than their weight in gold!❤
I've been prepping new raised beds.
Came inside to take a break and Becky's busy cooking. I love watching the freezer meal videos.
Praying you get well and feel.better Becky.makes that happen
You're too sweet... thinking of your friend. I would love to have a friend like you. At this point in my life I would just love a friend period. Love watching your videos. I'm 70 years old and I just lost my only daughter this past September. Life has been super sad and lonely for me since her passing. So, I've virtually adopted you as my sweet daughter. You keep cooking, and I'll keep watching.
I'm sorry to hear that! Isn't it a blessing to find such a kind woman and community?
So sorry- my condolences. 🙏💕😘 Keeping you in my prayers.
God bless you.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
@abarb2009 thank you.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter, praying for you friend 🙏🏼
Hi Becky. I am a 50 year old woman from Tennessee who hates to cook, clean or garden, but enjoys watching others do it. And, you do it very well, and in a casually educating way that makes it seem enjoyable.
Brief story I thought you might enjoy hearing. It is truly a small world. I was watching a gaming channel from England, @emmalution, and she was talking about food, and she said that she had learned that nutmeg goes really well in creamy sauces from Acre Homestead! I had to back up the stream to make sure I heard right. I was like hey! She is talking about my friend! Anyway, I am now off to watch this video.
Keep up the great 'work'.
She made me start eating green beans and I didn't like them before. Now I can't get enough of them but only when I cook them coz they have to be my kinda crunchy. 😅
I don’t know if someone else already suggested this…but you could make recipe cards for tags so that if your friend likes the meal she could recreate it later when life settles down.
I am been married to a plumber for 28 years and he always told me to run cold water when you drain your boiling water to save your pipes!! You don’t want melted pipes!!! Love your Chanel!!
Interesting!🤔
I was just told that!
Same! And if they are old iron pipes, you’re degrading them with every pot of boiling water that goes down the drain…
I was told that also by my plumber when I did a kitchen remodel.
Saw someone run a test on melting PVC pipes by boiling them. They didn't melt even after being boiled for a long time. They didn't soften at all either. I wish I could remember the name of the person, I would link to them.
I’m 67 and live alone now but I make things like shepherds pie etc and make 6 individual size ones. Eat 1 freeze 5. At the same time I freeze individual portions of mash potato for other days. Nice to just be able to pull something from the freezer some days!
The Lock&Lock glass 9×13 (and they are deeeep, lasagna lovers) now comes with a domed lid that has a handle, perfect for pot lucks!! I found mine on QVC. ❤ them.
These I am making next weekend. My sister and brother can sure use a little grace and for me to show some extra love to them. My sister is a widow and my brother is a single man still working with the government and don't have extra time lately to cook a well balanced meal for himself. Eating out all the time isn't very healthy so I know these recipes will be welcomed by both of them.
Thank you so much for all you do for us. And God Bless each of you. Sending hugs to your parents also❤
❤❤❤
Hi Becky, your videos are wonderful and great ideas for prepping for days ahead.
I'm starting 5 weeks of radiation treatments on March 12 to April 10th.
I'm making a whole bunch of meals. I love watching you and your mom cook together. God bless you and your family.
Allah with you my sister ❤
Wishing you strength & healing! There is a cookbook by the American Cancer society organized by side effect symptoms and how to eat for what you're experiencing. It was so helpful for my sister's cancer journey.

Thank you I will look up that cookbook

Becky I can’t wait for my community and friends to be as strong as yours. ❤❤❤. You truly inspire ❤
Aw thanks so very much!!
I will go check you out 😊
I have to vote for the cooking videos over the gardening ones. There's something cathartic about watching her cook while talking to us.
Awesome of you to help out a friend. You’re such a lovely caring young woman.
You are such a good friend. Your friend is so Blessed to have you in her life. Love watching your videos and LOVE all your recipes..
I hope you’re friend will be ok. All this food will be a true blessing to her
How in the hell do you do all this girl? You make me dizzy with all that you have going on. It must take a lot of pre-planning ahead of time. It's very entertaining! You go girl. I would eat all that stuff you are making. It looks delicious. I'm a full time nurse and my husband cooks for my co-workers. I always haul a bunch of food to work so nobody ever goes hungry when they work with me. My husband is recently retired and his new job is feeding my co-workers.
I've been watching your videos for a little while now and I have been learning all the freezing tips and tricks with your videos as well as inspiration to start my own little garden this year! Just wanted to say thank you! I can't wait to see how your garden turns out this year! Looks like you got big plans!
OMG! I can’t believe you are chopping so many onions! Bless you!
Becky, i was looking for the fajita recipe and didn't see it listed in the description box. I went to your website and LOVE how you add a little tip on how to make ahead or freeze. you're great!
You have excellent knife skills! I’m older (72) and have an autoimmune disease that makes my eyes very dry so slicing & chopping onions very painful, I use a manual chopping & slicing device I got on Amazon that is very quick and eliminates the exposure to the gases that the eyes water very limited. I love to watch your channel you encourage me to get up and try something new!
I was thinking the same thing about the onions. I get SO TIRED when I chop onions I've learned to only do it in the evenings. The onion vapors make my eyes feel tired even if I'm not physically tired. It's wild. I've always wondered if others experience this.
I just discovered "tearless" onions and gave them a try. I was skeptical but the texture and flavor is the same, just no tears! (I too have dry eyes so getting relief from the burning was very much appreciated).
Becky can really work a knife 😊
I was thinking too, wouldn’t it be useful to put your chopping blades in the Cuisinart, when doing big batches like this for all the Vedge prep??
@@hmh3808 that’s a great idea!
My favorite thing to do is skinning garlic while watching you!!! Perfect thing to do!! ❤
The carmelized onion on top of the mashies is brilliant. ❤
I love these kind of videos. It’s why I started following your channel. Keep up the good work!
Hi from Australia, wow Becky you did a great job, although my husband and I are not into spices or pepper, I do use them but not overly much, just for flavour not for the heated bite. Your friend is very lucky to have such a generous kind friend like you in there life. I am 67 and used to be like you, but found after years of generosity my kindness was not really appreciated. Although I do still cook for my daughter her oartner and her 5 children, they are my biggest critics and tell me what they love and what they don't want me to make again...I love watching your content, you are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Just in time for the delivery of our third freezer. Timing is everything.
Has anyone thought about doing oatmeal waffles with raisins and cinnamon? Sounds good. I'm going to try!
Another great video!
You are a great friend and I know she appreciates you.
It's easy to decrystalize honey. I simply put the unopened jar upright in my oven with the oven light on overnight. In the morning all of the crystals have dissolved back into liquid honey that stays liquid for a very long time. My oven is electric and with the light on it heats up to about 100°F.
Genius
You said you thawed your chicken and then you are going to freeze it again? I didn’t think you were supposed to refreeze chicken?
If it's frozen raw, defrosted fully, cooked and then frozen from cooked you're fine
@@sallyj9716 But in this case it was only mealpreped in a bag with a marinade and with veges. Not cooked.
As long as it's changed its fine
You can safely refreeze meat as long as the meat is safely defrosted. If you use a water bath or just sit it on the counter, you can't. If you do it in the fridge, you're safe. I did the research on it.
I watched you on television and what a huge job. Love what you are doing. I could use a friend like you. What a blessing you are to others.
Hi Becky - I’m from the UK - love watching your videos !! Top tip for when I make cottage / shepherds pie - I grate my raw carrot - cooks quick n easy !! Also good for hiding veggies for my kids - I also add frozen peas too !! Xx
Hey sweet friend, thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes with us. My husband thinks ketsup is spicy, so we have to adjust our spices. I love watching your vlogs. I have metastatic cancer and watching you fills my heart with joy and happiness. You're truly inspirational and the farming pastor's wife freezes, Leslie now freezes her garlic pucks and mentions you. Sending blessings to you and your beautiful family.
Bless you with strength and peace
Thank you, thank you….i am not feeling well and am in bed. Your video is just what I need❤❤❤
Love your videos. I learn a lot from you and I’m 65.
Yeppers! 😄 I'm always glad to spend time watching your freezer meals... I see them in my future. Thank you sooo much for all you share with us. Bless you and yours 😘
Cottage pie is made with beef and shepherds pie is made with lamb, but they are both a good tasty meal,so whatever you have you can use, they both look the same when made!xx❤
I just recently discovered your channel. I have a very similar cooking style to yours where I do not measure and I make changes to recipes as I go. I will make a note of what I changed or added on my recipes so I can achieve same results thr next time. I have no idea why up until now I havent done meal prep like yours! I genermake extra of whatever I am making and freeze half but I never thought of the dump and freeze recipes! You have now convinced me that some of my recipes I can double but freeze 1 or even 2 more for a later date. Things like stirfry, teriyaki, philly cheesesteaks, etc. Things that are better when freshly made without double the work! Thank you so much. Ive been binging your channel and I love all of your recipe ideas and now I have a full month meal planned! I also learned a lot about freezing extras of stuff like lime juice, zest, onions, spicy peppers, chopped garlic.
Thank you for all of the inspiration!!
I'm new, and it's nice to see you using the "cookie" scoops! They help with portioning and easier clean up.
Thank you!
I miss homemade Fr. Onion soup!!! But onions are $1.00 each for a medium size. Ugh!!! You & mom going on a trip this year to Homesteaders convention? I love you & mom traveling together. Such awesome times!! Love you little girl!! 💗 God Bless you all. Many prayers 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi in AZ and E Minister 🙏🏻
ABSOLUTELY LOVE making fajita dinner freezer bags. SOOOOO easy. LOVE premade breakfasts as well. WOOOHOO! GO Becky, Go Becky, Go Becky, GO. :)
I like to user scotch in my shepherds pie. It adds a wonderful smokiness to the flavor that is just delightful!
Becky cottage pie is ground beef and shepherds pie is lamb, i love watching your videos hope all is well with you all xx
Love watching and learning. Thank you from the UK 🇬🇧
You've inspired me to make freezer meals. We went from cooking for 4-8 people to 2-3. My partner is not much on leftovers. So now I make a meal for now and put 1 or 2 in the freezer. It's been a game changer. We don't eat out when I'm too tired to cook. We pull a freezer meal. It's helped for my MIL as well. I make her several 'tv dinners' to pop in the air fryer or microwave. She loves them. 😊
Btw.. it's always shepherds pie no matter what meat we use. Otherwise we call it pot pie. Lol
Aw thanks for sharing this with me :)
God bless you and your granddaughter ❤
Love these homemade freezer meal days some great meal ideas Becky thank you for sharing. xxx
Girl I aspire to be as productive as you, especially as a mom sometimes it feels like theres no time to get much done. But you keep me motivated! Keep up the great work
Becky, you are Wonder Woman and a wonderful friend. Everything looked delicious.
What a sweet gesture. Your friend will be so blessed.
Becky you’re so giving to others. I can’t think of meals like you. ❤
Excellent choice using the Gruyere Cheese for the cottage pie😊 I can't wait to make it.. Excellent job as always Becky, thank you for sharing your delicious recipes with us all ❤
Whenever I make lasagna or baked ziti I find that it’s always more flavorful when I season my ricotta well as ricotta by itself is very bland. It takes it over the top! I add an egg, salt & pepper, dried oregano, dried or fresh basil, fresh parsley, and lots of Parmesan cheese.
I just love your marathon cooking days! Thank you for such wonderful ideas.
Wow can't believe you're out of freezer meal. That's kind of you to help your friend out
When I lived in the states, I had a cupcake pan like the one you are using. I loved it! I gave it to my friend when I moved to France and she is still enjoying it.
I love your oatmeal recipe !!
I appreciate you and your Mom's

I appreciate you guys!!😊❤
You really need to check out the "Vidalia Onion Chopper" When we need to chop more than a couple of onions it is our go-to. Such a time saver and chops them all the same size.
I am a new subscriber and I really like channel because I work a lot and these freezer meal props are going to help me a lot. You know that way on the nights that I have to work 16 hours. My family can pull one out and just throw it in the oven. Thank you so much for your great ideas. I think your channel is the best that I have come across. I've watched other ones and not so impressed with them so thank you
I just love your cooking days!
I made your oatmeal/blueberry muffins this morning they are amazingly delicious. The aroma in my house smells like I stepped into a bakery. Thank you for all your recipes.❤❤

Like many others commenting? I am 64. My variation i different. No grandchild inspiration, nor Dependant to Feed. No.
I had Stopped cooking, from Depression, Sorrow/Greiving/Handicapped Leg Busting more AND Self Denial for Control in my life. See? Heaps in my Story! I also went and got Plunked back in my Parents' house and both of them are gone. My oldest daughter is Passed and my Ex. My youngest refuses to Eat anything i cook, but for my turkey or chicken breasts. She has Sensory Issues, so she claims.
My grandsons are both Taken.
No one left but me!
I tend to be on Intermittent Fasting, Daily, for the last 15 years...
With your enthusiasm and positive outlook AND making it Flow so Easy? You Helped me TO look forward TO trying! ❤
Other Channels incuding some of your friends, i went back TO canning and freezing! I still cook very little, about once a week? But now i have my own canned soup, cabage rolls in jars (my own creation), stews, Cream Soup Bases and Fruit, Sauces and Jams again! So between my few cookings? I pop open a jar and am able to eat healthily, with little leg time!!
When i go Shopping? Only half an hour in Store, harms my leg for 2 or 3 days. So it is very precious TO have nutrition in a jar, or only cook noodles and put my sauce, etc!
Thank you, Becky! (And thanks to your Mom, also!) Your Emotional and Enabling Help is Infectious! ❤
I love meal prep day with you. I always learn new stuff. I change recipes too. I just use them as a guide. Thanks for the video
