I was kinda expecting this to be a vampire survivors clone based on the name, but I'm happily surprised to see what it is. Game seems super cool and I'm excited to see just how much there is to do in it.

Seeing how the dev is planning to work on the game, i would really enjoy a series on this, looks amazing!
The perks on level up doesn't depends on your character but on your stats. If you have more intelligence you will have more probability to find intelligence related perks and so on
Spotting all the references to other games is fun.
This is just pure fun to watch!!

The shark bounces towards the direction of wherever you are standing. That's the aiming system.
I think the worms in the game are a reference to the underground worms in noita.Love the series!
This game is amazing, so much immediate fun available and depth as well, impressive.
Also love how you're already breaking bosses over your knee (and still manage to be surprised by it xD)

I hope this keeps up. I did bot expect to love an 8 bit game so much, but this looks dope. I hope there is more content coming when the game releases though. More bosses would be awesome.

So from what I can tell the sharks only have so many bounces off walls, so the way to beat them is to give them the longest run possible. It looked like 3 bounces before they start homing on you. Great content though loving it man

Shark is proximity based. You keep letting him get right on top of you, then he chases. if you keep distance he just windows screen savers around.

I typically like slower paced, turn based strategy, puzzle, rpg type games. i've considered a few bullet hells like binding of issac and enter the gungeon but this one theme-wise got me to pull the trigger and finally try one (yeah i know high fantasy is basic but it works for me). retromation makes it look easy. however, its difficult (for a beginner bullet hell player) but not too difficult to be really fun. consequently, the meta currency buffs ARE important to me 😏 thanks retromation for this 👍i'm eagerly anticipating what the full release will look like 😁
I would say shark charges when it gets close, if you keep it far away it seems more docile.
I think the jungle floor is one huge Terraria reference. Queen Bee boss, maneater style enemies, jungle pylon, the shopkeeper is a witch doctor too.
Edit: There's also the broken hero sword, & the spinning axes / swords are enemies in Terraria too!

Ohhhh when you’re in the dessert area you can buy expensive and powerful spices! (The permanent infusion items) might wanna save up money for that area if you want to do something specific with a melee run or something

if you're thinking about getting this game, I recommend it. It's been updated quite a lot, and it's very fun. Also, I just now tried to play Sorcerer and I had the most broken build on it. I probably would have made it to the REAL end if I had met the surprise reqs... but that's for later in the game lol TRY THIS, IT IS FUN
Atunement means you have to have it equipped for that many rooms. You probably find this out during the video though

I would just love if frogs plague with upgrades make them look more like ninja turtles but frogs or battletoads.

Since the creator included the lead maiden faithfully to gungeon, I'm gonna assume the Gargoyles boss is similar to the bell tower gargoyles in Dark Souls, aka get them both low before killing either.

sharks can't actually chase you if they are dead
Heartbroken you skipped the Colossal Might perk. With your permanent potion effects, it was literally a 100% damage bonus for a mere 10% reduction in attack speed.
I would be terrible at this game but will always watch you Play it and maybe support dev

the entire jungle area was giving me Terraria vives but then the Bee boss appear and it was solid! nice

maybe a room where u can trade items for other stuff, not necesarily money, like buff, infusions, keys & bombs, healing , etc
