For sure, that's how I've been explaining it to people. I think Shane's humor works so well because it doesn't really feel like you're watching a rehearsed act. He's less of a professional comedian and more like working with the funniest dude you've ever met.

RIP to the late great Norm MacDonald (the GOAT of the recent era imho), but Dave Chapelle, Louis CK & Bill Burr are at the top of the heap for me right now. If Gillis has more that is this good, he may crack that personal list.
