- I know its been a while but Im finally back. Here's a video of our trip to June Lake. The bite was red hot in the morning and completely slowed down after 10am. Luckily I managed to land a few and kept 3 but ended up giving 2 away to a family who got skunked. Anyway I got one more video coming up and hopefully two more Sierra trips this year. So stay tuned.

Yes! I try to release everything I land. Especially browns, brook and cuttys but this trip I took a couple bows. Thank you for the support I appreciate it. Tight lines 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Wow, that’s some nice fishing, those are big ones too, just wondering were you fishing from the left side of the beach area, near the road that goes into town ?
Correct! You can park at the beach parking lot and walk to left until you reach a good drop off. You can also park on the road above but those slopes are steep coming down to the lake.

The first one I landed was a Rainbow Trout. The one I’m releasing in the intro is Lahotan Cutthroat.

The black one with orange thread is a North Fork by G-Loomis, paired a Daiwa Ballistic. The one with blue thread is a Phenix Elixir paired with a Daiwa Tatula. Both rods are custom wrapped.
What is your jigging technique here?thank you sir.
Here I found a deep drop off so I casted as far as I could. I let the jig dropped for 10 seconds and retrieved semi fast. Occasionally slowing it way down. As I retrieve I pop my rod slightly up and down and sometimes side to side.
Man you caught some real fatties! Great job! I've found that June Lake is not very "bank fisherman friendly". Can you comment, in general, what part of the lake you are fishing from? It looks like maybe the southeastern shore, but I can't tell for sure. Also, parking at June Lake is a real problem. Can you comment where you parked at to get to where you fished from? Thanks much!
Parking is pretty bad! Yes it’s on the southeast area. Parked at the beach parking lot and walked along the shoreline til I found a deep drop off.

What size jig head are you using and what lb line
I was using orange 4lb braid from Phenix w/ a 2lb samurai floro leader by Daiwa. Also using 4.5lb neon braid from Varivas w/ 2lb samurai floro leader. As for jigs I was using 1/32oz & 1/16oz

8 minutes in before you show any fishing method. We all know what a drag sound is and how to play fish most people were looking for techniques, I certainly was . Wouldn't even have seen the last part but I took too long writing this
Thanks for the feedback. In future videos I will give a brief explanation of the technic I used to catch trout.
